It's time for our Finale (Finally) Results Night!!!!!!!!!!

Christina (Xtina) Agulera will be performing tonight to help promote her movie Burlesque, which opens tomorrow... (Hmm... isn't there a certain former pro on that, as well...?)

I'm sure there's more, especially the Dances of the Fallen (of which I heard that Bruno has invited Brandy to have her's be the Freestyle dance that they were planning...)

It's not like this is the first time the Tea Party's mobilized to vote in a completely unqualified candidate.

I can deal with it. I just wonder how ABC is planning to top this piece of casting. We knew they went after Coulter... Beck?

So you are saying the best we can hope for is all the liberals just shrug and publicly pretend it makes no never mind to them?

Because it would make Mama Grizzly way too happy if anyone says boo about it.

Just sayin' "Hi!" I'm here on the Left Coast and the show doesn't air until 9 p.m. our time. I can stretch my bedtime until 10 but 11 is ridiculous when I have to get up at 5:30 a.m. for yet another 10 hour work day...Plus if Bristol wins, I'll be all p.o'd and will have trouble getting to sleep.

Thanks in advance for the play-by-play. I'll be deep into snoozeland by the time they finally air the results here...

Keepin my fingers crossed for Jennifer though I would't be sad if Lacy and Kyle win. Lacy's my fave pro!

My drink o' the night is a bottle of moderately priced red from Trader Joe's...

"More medical drama"
Posted by vince3 on 11-23-10 at 10:12 PM
Apparently during last nights dances, Jennifer ruptured one of her spinal discs... or something like that.

An early morning hospital visit, and she says she's gonna try to dance both dances tonight... Tom jokes that the way things are going, saying 'Break a leg' might be a bad idea...

Whine Whine Whine. I am so sick of it. If she really ruptured a disc she would not be jumping around shimmying and acting goofy.

Ditto!

I've ruptured a disc. If she ruptured a disc, she'd be in the hospital pronto! The pain was beyond believable, and I lost complete use of a leg until after surgery.
No way she could have ruptured a disc.

"RE: More medical drama"
Posted by sharnina on 11-24-10 at 05:02 AM
But... I've ruptured a disc and things actually got better after that - not much pain, just some discomfort and some leg pain and she's in wayyyy better shape than I am.

"RE: More medical drama"

She HAS a great shape, too!

From what an article I read the next day said was they gave her a nerve block shot right after the performance show and part of the "will she/won't she dance" all day was they were waiting for the pain control to kick in. Sounds like she was injured right at the end of the performance show

Sounds like it kicked in right before air time so that allowed her to dance, and they said in the article the kind of pain control she got usually takes about a day to kick in.

Once the nerves block she wouldn't be able to feel the pain from the injury. They probably wouldn't do that if she hadn't had a performance right away, I think they usually do that kind of thing if other stuff hasn't worked, but with her time-line they probably figured getting her function ASAP was OK and then they'd do more conservative treatment for the recovery period. Hopefully she didn't do additional damage dancing while unable to feel pain in that area.

For some reason that really seemed lacking in chemistry between them. I got that more from Mark than from her, and that is really unusual for me.

Tonight's scores really don't matter, do they?

"RE: Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 11-23-10 at 10:46 PM
They will be added into the judges scores from last night so if they need to get a few more percentage points between some of the dancers they can do that.

No more viewer votes, but they will be using the judges scores which could tighten up or loosen up the percentages between the dancers.

"Judges Scores"
Posted by vince3 on 11-23-10 at 10:45 PM
10 for a judge's 1st, 9 for judge's 2nd, 8 for judge's 3rd... they can only use one of those paddles for the group of the couples...

Kyle/Lacey: 9-8-9 for a total of 26 for the dance, 82 for the Finale

Bristol/Mark: 8-9-8 for a total of 25 for the dance, 77 for the Finale

Jennifer/Derek: 10!-10!-10! for a total of 30 for the dance, 90 for the Finale.

The song for the Instant Cha Cha Challenge is Raise Your Glass by Pink

They draw their numbers for their dancing order: Kyle first, Jennifer second, and Bristol third...

YAYYYYYY! Now I can sleep... I'm happier than a pig in sh*t

BTW.. the person posting below this one said she was a ringer... don't think so... not after so many years of not dancing!
If Brandi had been in the finals like she deserved to be, she may have one instead.
Regardless, I am very happy with the outcome. Now lt's teabag thee tea party!

The beginning of the season when Jennifer was paired with Golden Boy Derek we all knew she would win. Yawn!

I really hope Derek takes next season off. If not, I don't know if I can continue to watch. The judges blubbering over him is ridiculous. He stumbled during their V Waltz tonight and not one of the judges mentioned it.

"RE: Shocker!"
Posted by Round Robin on 11-24-10 at 05:09 AM
Jennifer was the only one of the actual best 3 dancers, the others IMO being Audrina and Brandy, who survived to the final, so if we weren't so caught up in all the Bristol bull$hit, we would have known Jennifer and that little pain in the @$$ twerp Derek would win. I picked her as one of the top ones right from the start. If I were a conspiracy theorist (who, me?), I might think ABC promoted Bristol to use her as a tool to get other good dancers voted off so they could get another win for their golden boy without having to directly screw other good dancers in the finals. Next year they're gonna have to give somebody else a win, though, because if Derek wins #4 I think their other pros will start b!tching behind the scenes and they might lose more pros when their contracts run out.

"RE: Shocker!"
Posted by jbug on 11-24-10 at 11:01 AM
As if there was any doubt

If not for Bristol on this season, I think there would have been a lot more said about a professional dancer being on the show.
And no matter how many years since she danced? She is still a professional.

"RE: Shocker!"
Posted by Round Robin on 11-25-10 at 02:16 AM
Well, they WERE talking before the season began about Derek dancing with the ringer again, and that's 2 seasons in a row with that bull$hit for Derek. If not for Bristol being on there, the main topic of b!tching all season would have been the Golden Boy and the Ringer.
