A Canadian man and woman were out walking their dog this evening in the city of Kuwait. They were attacked and shot. The man was killed instantly and his wife was sent to hospital with 3 gunshots. There have been reports that the killing was in retaliation for the bombing in Afganistan.

Canadians were steadfast and did not shy from their duty to world peace when they helped to liberate Kuwait in the Gulf War. We will certainly not be diverted from the cause of world peace in our support of the strikes against the supporters terrorism.

IC, I cannot tell you how incredibly saddened I am by the news that more innocent people have been made victims in the insane violence these terrorists have provoked in the world. It should be clear by now that none of us are safe from such insanity. I have always known this isn't a perfect world, but in my heart I've always believed things could be made better, that somehow peace lives in the hearts of all people. I can only consider those who hold violence and destruction and killing as just, they are the most abhorent of people. These criminals force us to deal with them by whatever means necessary, I pray for all who must undertake despicable tasks in this pursuit. It is despicable that we are reduced to returning violence with violence, death with death, but these despicable criminals leave the civilized world little choice but to destroy utterly their ability to commit death and destruction at will. I pray for the world, that when all this is done it will not have killed civilization but made it stronger and better.

I am so sorry to hear this. Unfortunately, I'm afraid we're in for more of this. But you are right, we can't let these types of incidents deter us from our fight against terrorism.

Oh, Ice, I'm so sorry... I agree with everything MIS said - we are in for more of this, unfortunately, but it seems to be the only way to show these terrorists that we're not backing down! I just pray not too many more innocent lives are lost.
