It's time to crank your volumes up to 11, it's Rock and Roll Theme Night!!!

Tonight, they will be doing two different dances... but the question is, though... will the second dance be a full dance, a dance competition, Team dance, or Group dance???

Watch out for filler, though... sometime soon, maybe this week or the next, they'll be going through their top 10 dances of all time...

If they can put up this much pop-up information, including the song title, during the countdown... why can't they do it normally?

That would make your life too easy?

Yikes! Man I disagree with about half of those, but they were good.

"RE: Top 10 dances"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:40 PM
Several popular dances were not even on the list for votes. They could not clear all songs for the dances. So it was not actually a fair vote.

"RE: Top 10 dances"
Posted by samboohoo on 10-26-10 at 09:11 AM
I was happy about this. The whole time going through the countdown, I kept thinking, "Where are Drew & Cheryl?"

I thought Drew's Paso was actually better. I think that's the one that earned the first perfect scores ever. And didn't Stacy Keebler have a 30 somewhere?

"Rock BIG Intro!"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:28 PM
Sounds slightly better in Rock format...

They say that for the 200th episode next Monday, there will be a TON of guest judges from past seasons...

"RE: Rock BIG Intro!"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 08:29 PM
Interesting sound, but if that is what is going to be "Rock" for the evening I should probably start drinking heavily now.

"Audrina/Tony"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:36 PM
In an attempt to give her more aggression, she went to an MMA teacher at Tony's suggestion...

Dancing the Paso Doble to Another One Bites the Dust

(I really hope Freddy's grave isn't spinning...)

"RE: Audrina/Tony"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 08:38 PM
Did they use the Chenbot's chip? That seemed awfully robotic for something that should be passionate and aggressive.

"RE: Audrina/Tony"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:41 PM
I thought the dance was too slow for the music, myself...

"RE: Audrina/Tony"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 08:39 PM
That was a bit ho-hum and I thought there were a couple of mistakes. But Tony was hot, as usual.

"RE: Audrina/Tony"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:40 PM
Scores: 8-8-8 for a total of 24

"RE: Audrina/Tony"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:44 PM
Audrina really looked like she was watching Tony to know what step to do next.

"RE: Audrina/Tony"

Boy, was that title prophetic for them...

"Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:48 PM
Kyle's brother Chris dresses up in a dress to help Kyle practice while at home...

Dancing the Tango to If I Had You

"RE: Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 08:51 PM
I didn't see that dance, all I could do was stare at the booty shorts and over-skirt held on with garters in a position that looked like it was trying to be a young man's gansta pants.

She shoulda had boxers on, not booty shorts.

"RE: Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by Karchita on 10-26-10 at 01:20 AM
That outfit was one of the worst ever. My gawd. My eyes. It looked like she forgot to put all of it on.

"RE: Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:55 PM
Scores: 8-7-8 for a total of 23

"RE: Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 08:55 PM
That was fun, but I think Kyle's novelty has worn off.

"RE: Kyle/Lacey"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:47 PM
I was so distracted by their outfits. It really bothered me.

"Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 08:58 PM
They might be pushing her neck's safety boundries... and maybe not.

Dancing the Paso Doble to So What?

"RE: Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:00 PM
Did that get a little out of control and sync at the end?

Other than that I thought it was good.

"RE: Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:02 PM
LAST EDITED ON 10-25-10 AT 09:02 PM (EST)

At least Carrie Ann admits it: They're the Chosen Ones... and they're going a little too crazy this week...

Scores: 6-7-7 for a total of 20... I think Carrie Ann spotted a lift...

"RE: Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 09:02 PM
That was a bit frantic. And the camera angles were crazy. Derek slipped on her dress and some real mess-ups.

"RE: Jennifer/Derek"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:50 PM
Derek slipped twice. They really were out of control. And of course they danced early when they needed to rest for the marathon dance.

"Rick/Cheryl"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:09 PM
I think Rick's overthinking this week...

Dancing the Tango to Girl... You've Really Got Me Now

"RE: Rick/Cheryl"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 09:12 PM
I don't know about the dance, but I have a couple of new screen-savers.

"RE: Rick/Cheryl"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:12 PM
I think he wants to be Pepe with his hair this week.

Good job.

Lol. That's one good looking skunk hunk.

"RE: Rick/Cheryl"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:13 PM
Scores: 8-8-8 for a total of 24 and currently a share of the lead.

"RE: Rick/Cheryl"

My dog got sprayed by a skunk this week. Rick reminded me of a skunk. He scared my dog.

"Bristol/Mark"

Prepare for Train Wreck! Air guitars ahead!

Dancing the Tango to According To You?

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 09:21 PM
Again, the novelty has worn off.

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:22 PM
That air guitar thing seemed out of place in the dance.

It was good, but egad, not quite as good as the judges seem to think it was for me.

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:23 PM
Scores: 8-7-8 for a total of 23 which is currently tied for 2nd/3rd...

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:55 PM
The judges really want to keep Bristol around, don't they?

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by Karchita on 10-26-10 at 01:25 AM
I often don't see what they see in dances, both good and bad, but this dance was nothing beyond ordinary and the scores are much too high.

"RE: Bristol/Mark"
Posted by udg on 10-26-10 at 12:37 PM
Maybe the judges were grading on a curve? It was good... compared to the other train wrecks last night.

"Kurt/Anna"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:31 PM
Kurt's struggling with the rock portion of the week's theme... Anna summons Brett Michaels to try to get out his inner rock god... and after a few attempts, he might've found it!

Dancing the Paso Doble to Final Countdown

"RE: Kurt/Anna"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:32 PM
Something about his posture was off for me and that was distracting.

"RE: Kurt/Anna"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 09:33 PM
Well, if a slice of Wonder Bread did a paso doble, it would have more spice than that. Sorry, didn't work for me.

"RE: Kurt/Anna"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:35 PM
Scores: 6-6-6 for a total of 18 and dead last.

"RE: Kurt/Anna"
Posted by Loree on 10-25-10 at 11:56 PM
I didn't think it was quite as bad as the judges thought.

"Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:43 PM
This week it's Brandy's turn for a storm out/crying jag...

Dancing the Tango to I Need A Hero

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:44 PM
Something just seemed awkward with that as well.

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 09:45 PM
Well, I don't know what happened this episode, just not moving me emotionally. Loved Maks' pants though.

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by qwertypie on 10-26-10 at 01:05 AM
Loved his pants too, they would have looked better if his shoes/boots were a different color (IMHO)

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:46 PM
Scores: Total of 26 (missed the individual scores, sorry)

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by Snidget on 10-25-10 at 09:50 PM
I think it was 8~9~9

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by Loree on 10-26-10 at 00:00 AM
Maks and Brandy have danced in the first half of the show every week. They finally get the pimp spot when it is the spot nobody wants. The last couple has to quickly change and go straight into the marathon dance without any rest.

"RE: Brandy/Maksim"
Posted by Karchita on 10-26-10 at 01:27 AM
Save the drama for your mama, Brandy. Sheesh. Time to grow up. Don't quite get how they got those scores, either.

"Dance Marathon"
Posted by vince3 on 10-25-10 at 09:58 PM
If you last to the end, you'll have been dancing for 4 minutes, longer than anyone has danced so far this season... Most might be lucky to survive the entire time period....

They will be scored by their position in the marathon...

1st 10
2nd 9
3rd 8
4th 7
5th 6
6th 5
7th 4

Here we go!

7th Kurt/Anna
6th Bristol/Mark
5th Rick/Cheryl
4th Kyle/Lacey
3rd Audrina/Tony
2nd Jennifer/Derek
1st Brandy/Maksim are the Winners! No 3-peat for Derek!

"RE: Dance Marathon"
Posted by Round Robin on 10-26-10 at 01:09 AM
These "marathon" dances with that scoring system are the perfect opportunity for the judges to get rid of somebody they really want out. Pretty apparent that they want Kurt out this week.

"RE: Dance Marathon"
Posted by Karchita on 10-26-10 at 01:30 AM
And pretty apparent that they didn't want Derek to three-peat.

"RE: Dance Marathon"
Posted by Round Robin on 10-27-10 at 11:19 AM
You got that right, and though we don't know for sure if Jennifer & Derek were in the bottom 2, depending on the viewer vote percentages that 1 judges' point could have bitten them in the a$$.

"RE: Dance Marathon"
Posted by Karchita on 10-27-10 at 02:20 PM
I meant three peat on the dance marathon, for the reasons discussed just below.

"WTF?"
Posted by udg on 10-26-10 at 12:43 PM
Brandy/Maks should have been out EARLY due to "holding your partner upside down, over your shoulder for 8+ counts at a time is not dancing, and only scores points if you're actually rescuing her from a fire."

Kyle & Lacey's middle-of-the-pack elim was about the only one I agreed with.

The rest of the details have already faded from my memory, but I remember being extremely confused while watching last night. Next week, Judges, try smoking a little less CRACK before the show. Thanks.

"RE: WTF?"
Posted by Sagebrush Dan on 10-26-10 at 12:59 PM
Yeah, it was obviously Brandy taking a time out and Max was literally "carrying" her through steps she didn't know.

"RE: WTF?"
Posted by qwertypie on 10-28-10 at 09:33 AM
Yep. And from what I saw, not much choreo.

"Thanks, vince"
Posted by whimsey on 10-25-10 at 10:00 PM
you, sir, doth rock muchly!

"Next week's 6 guest judges..."
Posted by Round Robin on 10-26-10 at 01:16 AM
...are supposed to be people who did dances that made that top 10, and the contestants are supposed to be dancing to those songs. THAT oughta be interesting.

"RE: Thanks, vince"
Posted by Karchita on 10-26-10 at 01:34 AM
Thanks, Vince x3!
