"Tribute to Buffy"

Watching this weeks Buffy made me sad. There is only one episode left of this fantastic series. I have loved this series since it started.

It has been one of the best written and acted series of the last ten years. However, it never won any awards. Joss was the force behind the series. He was lauded for his writing and what does he do? He writes us "Hush", an episode with almost no words. He then writes us an episode where they all sing.

I smiled so wide when I saw Angel tonight. Seeing them kiss (not spoiling it since its in the previews) was amazing. This series is going out with a bang since we have Spike, Angel, Faith and Giles with us. I just wish Cordy could come back.

Thank you Joss, for the best TV series of the last seven years.

I missed the penultimate Buffy episode because my power was out, darn it! What happened?

I will try to fill you in. An explosion goes off, Faith is hurt, as are most of the slayerettes. Buffy finds the weapon. Caleb comes to where she is, and she easily pulls it out of the stone. She kicks his ass, while the First watches. The First lets Buffy go to help the slayerettes who are in trouble.

Everyone convenes at Buffy's. Andrew and Anya bond and go to raid the hospital for supplies. Xander takes Dawn out of town, but Dawn pulls a stun gun on him. Faith and Buffy bond about their differences and similarities. Willow and Giles try to find out the origins of the weapon.

Spike comes over and he and Buffy have a GREAT moment. She tells him how meaningful the night before was, he tells her it was the greatest night of his entire, and I mean entire life. She goes back to the vineyard with the weapon to fight Caleb.

The First and Caleb seem to morph into each other, giving him strength. Buffy goes to the vineyard to fight him and comes upon a Goddess who tells her about the weapon. Caleb breaks the Goddess' neck and starts fighting Buffy. She is getting her butt kicked when something from behind Caleb stops him. It's Angel. They kiss, and she says she wants to finish this fight. It looks like she kills Caleb. Over to the side is Spike, and the First, who says, "#####" You can sooooo see that Spike is jealous. It is going to be soooo good next week, I just wish it would be a two hour finale.

Trish, you beat me to it. Loved last night.
Dabo, I don't have time right now to recount but if no one else has done so when I can get back here I'll do it for you. Great episode, I think a friend taped it, if you want I can check and get you a copy.
Loved that Angel is there, but don't want Spike bad or broken-hearted.

"and Dawson's Creek"

Tonight is the final episode of Dawson's and I am very sad. Although the show has gone downhill in the last two seasons, I still cherish it. This show started my freshman year of college and I have made life long friends through watching it. Drinking with Dawson's was a Wednesday night ritual all four years.

And I love Pacey.

It will be sad to see the end tonight, but it has def. jumped the shark. Wanda at E! revealed who dies tonight. She basically told the whole episode and I for one, won't be too surprised.

I loved all the teen dramedies.

I was very sad too! I liked seeing Angel and Buffy together. It is a bummer that Cordy can't be there. I am really going to miss this show. It was my candy TV.

I don't know what I'm going to do without my Buffy! It was not only as koko said, my "candy tv", it was the night my best friend and I would talk about the show and the rest of our week. Now after 7 years we're going to have to find another night to talk!

There were so many great things about last night, but Angel looking down at Buffy while she was fighting Caleb and saying "I sure missed watching this." and saying to Caleb "Oh you're so gonna lose." made me all glowy and happy!

We're getting set up for "imminent death" as Anya so bluntly put it. I've got my ideas.

*I've got my ideas.

Ok, discuss, how do you think it's going to end and how do you want it to end?
I've turned into such a Spike girl that I have mixed feelings about Angel coming back for the sendoff. Whereas Bre is a diehard Angel/Buffy girl she got all giggly and weepy on me last night.
Buffy's died so many times already I don't think they'll kill her off again. And she can't go off with Angel somewhere as he's got to go back to LA. So I'm stumped as to how it ends. I do know that they're leaving a spin off open, so not sure who's expendable.....
Thoughts?

I'm already getting emotional about Dawson ending tonight, especially since they have us believing that either Jen, Dawson, Pacey or Joey dies tonight. From last week it seems Jen is safe. And they had Joey in Paris, so is tonight going to be a stupid dream sequence? Hope not. But regardless, I'm ordering in pizza, taking the phone off the hook and setting my butt on the sofa for 2 hours.

"Buffy on A&E biography tonight"

Spike moving to Angel (which has been renewed, finally). Clues from zap2it.com.

http://tv.zap2it.com/news/tvnewsdaily.html?31560

"Already signed to join the cast this fall -- for a full 22 episodes -- is Buffy's other vampire lover, Spike (James Marsters), a former protégé of Angel's who also has a soul. But first, he must finish his storyline on "Buffy."

"Well, yes," Greenwalt says, "because when you see how 'Buffy' finishes, you'll realize that we have a bit of a problem there. But we'll figure it out."

Well if you watch "Angel" (which THANK GOD is coming back next season), then you know that she is in a coma.

>Thank you Joss, for the best
>TV series of the last
>seven years.

I love this show so much. I truly has been a treat from beginning to end. Next week, the original four (Buffy, Xander, Willow and Giles) will be in the middle of the fighting.

I am more and more convinced that Anya will die, saving Andrew. It will be a great finale, even though EVERYONE involved with the show has promised that most fans will be upset. We will see.

It's not that they want that, it's that this show has NEVER been about tears and happy endings, and Joss Whedon wanted to stay faithful to that.

We will see what he means.

I have heard that it just ends, and life goes on. No real ending like Dawson's, but Buffy just moves on like it's another day.

I too think that Anya will die, saving Andrew. But Joss hates it when people spoil his show, so I wouldn't be surprised if he filmed a few endings and at the last possible minute, changes what was going to air to another one.

For those who need a Buffy fix and have cable, the series is repeated most weekday nights on F/X.
