Are the judges idiots? Am I the only one that thinks that Vladimir desrevd a spot, he wasnt as funny as some of the other, but 9 months and hes that good! That stupid lady who would do nothing but annoying voices and then say, can you imagine if i talked like that was horrible. She should have never made the audition. Also the guy who did the afraid of the dark joke should have made it too. I gotta say these judges were stupid tonight, i hope they arent like this for the rest of the season.

Someone please tell me if they also thought vladimir should make it, or other peopel should!

disagree 100% on those 3.

i thought Thanksgiving Balloon lady was hilarious.

vlad wasn't great, and the afraid of the dark guy was one of the worst. overall, i thought the judges picked fairly well. the only one i really felt SHOULD have made it that didn't was the old guy (wiggins?) from the second hour. i didn't remember everyone that did make it, and may have forgotten some i liked, but i do think the ones that really have a shot of winning made it, and the rest are just filler

edit: oh yeah, the maine traffic cop guy - thought he should have made it too

the favorites that stick out in my mind:
Bath&Body Works guy
Balloon lady
Comedy Calendar guy
Blurry Pope guy
Evolution Chart guy

and maybe a few others

I really like Lewis Ramey, having seen him on Comedy Central before. If it's just about "how good are you?" -- and not "how good an amateur are you?" -- then I'm shocked he didn't go on.

I also liked the Maine Cop Guy (Justin McKinney?). Someone who did marketing research told me that one of the questions was "which of these comics should have their own show?" One was the Maine Cop routine.

I didn't care for Vlad's routine. I don't remember it well, but it seemed based on putting himself down. It's just not a style that appeals to me. I don't like Woody Allen much either.

The Thanksgiving Balloon Lady irritated me.

Maybe the judges are looking for balance -- a variety of comedic styles. After all, some people LIKE the balloon lady.

People I thought should have made it:

-- Will Durst (he's fairly established, isn't he?)
-- Louis Ramey (saw him on Comedy Central and he KILLED)
-- Paul Varghese
-- Wiggins
-- Frank whats-his-name (the big guy)

There were a few others whose names I can't recall.

I think Vladimir had some good material and he's pretty good considering his inexperience, but I'm not sure he was good enough to make the final 20.

Overall, I guess I shouldn't be surprised but it seemed like many of the people selected had weak material and/or delivery, but made for potentially more interesting housemates (e.g., bickering)..

I still can't understand why or how Pablo Francisco was there... I was kind of surprised he didn't make the cut, I thought perhaps he was there to be the spoiler or something..

I DONT think Marina Franklin, Jessica Kirson , or Jay London should have made it. Vladimir should have made it. I can just only imagine how awful the cast is going to be.

I agree with you on one point, and that is I really thought Vladimir should of gone through to the next round. Something about him makes me laugh. He was one of the 2 guys that stuck out after Tuesday night's show as I mentioned in a previous post. Didn't they show someone who moved on talking to him at the end of the show. But based on what we know about handpicking people, he doesn't appear that he'd bring the DRAMA to the house like they want.

And the husband/wife couple. I didn't care for either one, but I thought the husband was much funnier than his wife. That shocked me that she went through.

I thought Hubby was better, too - I think they are trying to get close to a 50-50 gender split and some lesser females beat out more deserving males.

Yep, hubby was much funnier. The first hour females, however, stunk more than the second hour did. A couple of my favorites didn't get in (Frank, Pablo, Wiggins). Hopefully they eliminate the crap in the Vegas show.

I didn't think Vlad was ready yet. So I didn't think he should make it. But I was kind of surprised they didn't pick him. I thought they would like the diversity he provided.

In the first group of 20 I liked the Bed, Bath & Beyond guy the best. And in the second group of 20 I liked the Sicilian woman the best. So they both got picked and I was happy.

I liked Vlad, but he is so young and he'll have opportunities in the future I'm sure. But I thought he was way better than Sue Costello who did make it.

I was disappointed that Retha Jones ("who wants to marry this bich?) didn't make it, as well as the husband part of the husband/wife. I also kinda liked Maine cop guy, but got the feeling we might hear the same thing over and over. I know there were others I'd like to see make it that didn't but there are still too many for my tiny brain to process!

I was very pleased to see Tammy (the Sicilian), droll Operation board game guy and Bed Bath and Beyond guy make it.

Glad stripper chick didn't make it!

The first group of 10 was very disappointing to me - I only agreed with half of the choices. I would have picked the Maine cop guy, that larger/Italian man and 1 or 2 others, and NOT picked Sue Costello (very unfunny and unlikeable) and one of those other women from the first group. Sad...I actually felt sorry for a few of them.

Also very upset that the wife (of the husband wife duo) got in - she's not good at all.

I was happy about the crazy faces/balloon float lady - she's a riot!

I was really hoping stripper chick would make the cut, actually, but stripper jokes weren't all that funny, really.

Much as I did like him, I thought Vlad didn't earn a spot, he really does need some more seasoning. Retha was much better than he was.

The chick who totally bombed with her posing posing posing schtick is the one that baffles me.

Based on the fragments we saw, Vlad should definitely have gotten a finals invite. The problem with this season is that NBC doesn't want another Dat Phan to happen. Dat was a comedic novice, and it's painfully obvious that we've seen all of his material.

NBC is not going to spend money on another newcomer. I'm certain that's why they dropped the Leno/Letterman restriction. Now we're going to be subject to the opposite extreme: comedians who have been around too long to put up with what this show will ask of them. Remember Rich Vos? Remember how he didn't participate in their little reindeer games? Well, now it will be amplified 5x. Can you see Jim Norton doing that stuff? How about Kathleen Madigan? Todd Glass? Not gonna happen.

It sucks. I would've rather seen Vlad than balloon float lady, Sue Costello, Mrs. Kotter, or Sopranos-wannabe chick.

I think you are right in that they don't want another Dat Phan with ten minutes of comedy material - but I don't think that is a bad thing. Vlad was funny, but he already used the same routine twice; and I am willing to bet that he would use it again in Las Vegas and again in a showdown and again at the finale if he got that far. Part of the reason I watch is for the stand-up and if I see the same bit over and over again I get bored really quickly.

Having said all that, I live in Canada and don't get Comedy Central so most of these comedians are completely new to me and the ones that aren't I only vaguely remember seeing somewhere before. As such, I probably have a different perspective then those who have seen these comedians on TV many times before.

I'm really interested to see next week when the final 10 are as there was that controversy of who the judges picked compared to who the producers picked.

I'm sure that's what the judges were thinking, too. I don't know if it's true or not, but we'll never know now. I'm not even saying he should've gotten into the house. I just think he was funnier, even using the same material, than several of those who did get a Vegas invite. Balloon float lady used the same bad material twice and got an invite, why not Vlad?

I'm really interested to see next week when the final 10 are as there was that controversy of who the judges picked compared to who the producers picked.

I'd be willing to bet it's a matter of the judges voting on who was the funniest, and the producers picking ones who are either more telegenic, more diverse for the house, and/or affiliated with the producers. The whole "process" is a sham. Why don't they just cast 10 comedians to be in a house a la Survivor or Big Brother?

Amen to that Fester!! The only person that I was happy to see get in the next round was ALonzo Boden(Bed Bath & Beyond Man). I read on of the spoiler sites that Sue Costello and Ant are both invited to the house. Dont know if this is true or not, we will have to wait and see.

I just dont see how ballon lady can be considered funny, maybe its just my sence of humor, but when i talked with all my male friends they HATED her, and the female ones seemed to like her more. Balloon lady seems like she would be funny in personality, but can you image if she made those type of jokes the whole show? (did u see the hidden joke?)

It is true that vlad was on the line of making it, I think he was better than Costello and Baloon lady but Vlad had only been doing Comedy for 9 months, can you imagine how halarious he would be by working with 20 comics? Though i think he will come back next year and get really far.

Also the afraid of the dark guy was so funny, their is only a few Comedians that i remember by name, like Daniel Tosh(who is my favorite one) and his jokes and kind of like Afraid of the Dark guy, because i love the long stories taht you can laugh at the whole way!

Anyway i wish best of luck to Vlad next year, and worst of luck to Ballon Lady.

Evolution Chart guy was it just me or was this guy not funny. I surely wont go see him on looks alone. I also only seen him the 1st time he was on. sooo whatever i dont know.

Val I thought was funny the 1st time maybe the 2nd time i heard it but the 3rd time was like whoa this little dude has issues! Funny but to early!

I liked the guy that did the joke about the dark! Did the guy that did the U know ur getto if u have to 6 yr olds that arent twins get in? i liked his that 1 was great! And Wow was it me are where there way more racial jokes then should have been said?j/w Although the joke about the black guy getting stopped because he was black was funny.

ok i guess thats about it! oh I liked Ralphie May from last year! No1 so far has made me laugh out loud and as hard as I did for him!

I could not stand the "balloon lady"...i did not think she was funny at all....
as soon as noticed that my favs were passed by. i only saw the first hour because of the regan funeral interrupting the whole show....i knew that these people were picked to "live in a house together".

why else would they pick so many UNfunny women???

i thought the big guy frank was hilarious. i also liked the bed bath guy....so i was happy he got in.
