So tonight they're gonna do two dances, the second one will be "dancing through the ages" as we see a return of the time-era'd theme dances.........

This should be an interesting night.

50s, 60s, 80s, 90s, and the future are the eras this time...... 70s get no respect.......

Erin: Doesn't trust Maks, but this round suits her.....
Evan: Has the total package, but he needs chemistry with Anna.
Chad: Beautiful posture, good frame...... but doesn't know how to move around the dance floor
Nicole: Almost unfair how good she is, but she doesn't enjoy the ride.....
Niecy: Elegant, but must be lighter on her feet and technique....

He's finally in touch with his sensitive side. Doing the Jive and Tango (no mention on the era for the Jive, though....)

He's prone to mood swings....... and it might be driving Cheryl crazy.......

Niecy knows that she has something that the others' don't....... she doesn't know what yet, but she's sure that she has it......

We get to see a glimpse of her day, including her tapings at The Insider, which is around 7:30am local time........

They did have complimentary things to say, but there were some parts for them to pick apart.....

Gypsy Kings and a College Dance Championship....... Purdue vs. UCLB, I think.....

They got their highest scors to date, but yet they landed in the Bottom Two......

Erin seems to be a little scared of heights....... especially jumping off of a stage and into Maks' arms........

It was so hot that Carrie Ann planted a big wet one on Len!

Len called her a dirty, dirty girl and loved it.....

He scored the first perfect 30 of the season......

Evan decided to let loose and turned the tables on Anna, teaching her how to ice/figure skate.....

Great news for Evan, no hip action in the Waltz.....

Anna says that Evan comes across as cold at times........

Len is not sure what to make of it, but both Carrie Ann and Bruno compliment him on his lines........ Carrie Ann also tells Evan to 'lose himself' in his dances......

That was very nice. Nice. Evan is a great technician, but he just doesn't have "it". That something that tips the scales over into WOW.

Emmit had it, Giles had it, Helio had it, Joey Fatone had it, hell even John O'Hurley had it. Evan just doesn't have it.

You hit the nail on the head. If he had Niecy's "it" , whatever "it" is, he would be my favorite. He is still on top of my list for the season. Nicole, to me, is just too obvious of a ringer. At least try to disquise it a little.

They'll be dancing the Paso Doble and the Fox Trot this week, but no indication on the time period.......

Derek says that she's still growing as a dancer, and they then show some of her frustrating moments.......

I thought it was fantastic! They are so entertaining. I'm always so captivated by their dancing. I can't say that about anyone else. I don't mind Derek at all. Of all the professionals he has the most personality and energy. He is far and away the best choreographer.

They drew the 80s to match with their Rhumba, and Maksim says that besides the outfit and music, he's probably not gonna change the dancing style too much, because he believes that it wasn't that different.......

Len's confused because even though he was playing an android (which is supposed to be stiff) his Cha Cha Cha lacked fluidity.....

Bruno loved it, and Carrie Ann had a gigglefit before calling it brilliant! Len is dissapointed that there was nothing for him to critize...... he doesn't like to compliment the same couple for multiple dances........

Thanks for the play by play! I hope Chad goes, but I have a feeling it'll be Niecy this week.

Even though Nicole is clearly the best dancer, I just can't root for her. I'm tired of her crying and pretending to be stressed out. It's getting old...not to mention Derek's obnoxious behavior.

My personal faves are Erin and Evan. Hope Erin gets the votes this week!

derek obnoxious? i think he's hot and sexy. he's one of the very guys you want to pay attention to instead of their female partner. of course except this season where the girl(nicole) is equally hot and sexy.

I will probably be hated by those who hate Derek. I don't know him or Nicole - but they appear to fun, they are attractive and are both talented. I enjoy watching them dance.

Welcome, and we won't hate you.

I, like many, used to be a Derek fan as well. But when he and Brooke won, he went all ego. As the trophy was being presented to her, he yanked it away. On the Jimmy Kimmel show, he kept interrupting Brooke and talking over her about his accomplishments, etc. He is very good looking, a brilliant and charismatic dancer, and a wonderful choreographer. But, his ego has gone overboard.

No, Lorr, we won't hate you. This is America, and you may like an egotistical horse's behind if you wish. But Dan's post pretty well puts it in a nutshell why a lot of us hate Derek despite his many good qualities, and why having Derek as a partner has probably cost his last 3 partners viewer votes. To ever win it again, I think Derek needs to take a season or 2 off, then come back with his ego turned off. Otherwise I think his partners will be forever doomed to lose the votes of viewers who detest Derek due to his ego.

I think even getting a couple of seasons where they don't pair him with someone likely to go deep in the season.

I'd like to see how he could choreograph when his partner doesn't have long legs and great lines and is gorgeous.

Why can't he ever get one of the clumsy or unpopular? So many of the other dancers only get a shot a the top 5 or better once in awhile and he seems to always get someone that we can tell could make the finals in the first week of the competition.

Rumor has it that Corky Ballas has a lot of clout in the show, which would explain how the Houghs and his son (usually) get the prime dancers. Don't know how true that is. IMDB doesn't list him in any of the credits.

Once again, I didn't get to watch, so I really appreciated the comments.

It sounds like the combined weight of Derek and Nicoles' egos and theatrics are finally taking a toll on the viewers' will to live - through any more of their antics.

If I could vote against their personalities (Grandiose and Disingenuous Ringer), I would.
