"Episode 10: "Why Would You Trust Me?" CBS Misdirection"

1. One Survivor’s leadership style quickly begins to annoy their fellow tribemates, who would rather work at their own pace. This Survivor knows their team must work if they want to win the Immunity Challenge. Will they be able to motivate their tribe or will their pushy ways put them in jeopardy?

2. When another shocking surprise is revealed to the Survivors, the lines are quickly drawn between tribemates. Will the Survivors stay true to their alliances or will this news stir up the game?

3. Yul reveals the possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribemates. How will this information affect his position around camp?

4. One Survivor considers betraying their alliance at Tribal Council and voting out an ally, a decision that will cause drama back at camp. Which way do they vote?

1. This has Jonathan written all over it.

2. Is this just the news of the merge? It's not really all that shocking. But it definitely would cause lines to be drawn.

3. My guess is Yul's revealing the HII does not affect his position at all. All the Aitu already love each other.

4. Hmm. This sounds like the combined teams, so the person considering betraing their alliance cound be either Jonathan (back to the team he rejected) or Nate (concerned about being allied with all white tribemates). Not sureif they flop but otherwise, how do the Aitu 4 get to the end?

Definately Jonathan. He's still trying to copy Ozzy's provider ways, and he is fed up with the lazy, spoiled little egocentric brats on his tribe! Will it motivate the lazy lot??...NO!

2. When another shocking surprise is revealed to the Survivors, the lines are quickly drawn between tribemates. Will the Survivors stay true to their alliances or will this news stir up the game? Is it finally merge time???, or another Survivor first?...they do seem like they are on a roll...

3. Yul reveals the possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribemates. How will this information affect his position around camp? Well, a select few could be Sundra and Ozzy(as they are the only ones that don't know for sure if he has the idol or not on Aitu), or it could be Ozzy and someone else, if they merge. Perhaps his plan to Ozzy would be to reveal to Jonathan that he has the idol and force Jonathan to vote with them, or they will vote him out at the next TC, or something to this effect...

4. One Survivor considers betraying their alliance at Tribal Council and voting out an ally, a decision that will cause drama back at camp. Which way do they vote?Got to be Jonathan again when he votes with the Aitu's perhaps?

This has got to be Jonathan and it can only happen if the two tribes merge. We've already heard his confessionals expressing his regret about jumping over to Raro. We also see his frustration with his "lazy" Raro tribemates. Don't know which way he'll vote yet, but if he does vote with Aitu this week, and they use the HII next week, than we will see exactly how the Fearsome Four make it to the F-4.

This is Jon and Jon and Jon and Jon and.........

2. When another shocking surprise is revealed to the Survivors, the lines are quickly drawn between tribemates. Will the Survivors stay true to their alliances or will this news stir up the game?

Well, I guess I'm thinking different with quite many of you. I'll say no merge to this. They had Brad, Rebecca and Jenny as juror before merge. Why not another one? So, wuickling drawing lines should refer to Raro. Either 4 whites against Nate and I see him going next episode or Jonathan against other 4. At least another episode with no merge will be more shocking than merging! Maybe another Thailand, no merge but 1 camp!

3. Yul reveals the possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribemates. How will this information affect his position around camp?

Few select? Just tell me it's Ozzy. Maybe not to Sundra. Not sure bout that. But it will make his position stronger eventhough Aitu is bonded as one.

4. One Survivor considers betraying their alliance at Tribal Council and voting out an ally, a decision that will cause drama back at camp. Which way do they vote?

I'll stick to no merge theory. It's either Jon or Nate again. Just like the speculation on No2. Jon may vote against one of the whites knowing Nate is going and 1 vote will only stir up things but no change in who's going home. OR Nate can also do the simmilar thing in order to alarm the whites(accept Jon) that he's pissed about Jenny.

The CBS press release for November sweeps says Ep 10 is merge ep.

1. One Survivor’s leadership style quickly begins to annoy their fellow tribemates, who would rather work at their own pace. This Survivor knows their team must work if they want to win the Immunity Challenge. Will they be able to motivate their tribe or will their pushy ways put them in jeopardy?

Jon and no and this leads Jon back to Aitu4 come TC time

2. When another shocking surprise is revealed to the Survivors, the lines are quickly drawn between tribemates. Will the Survivors stay true to their alliances or will this news stir up the game?

I don't know exactly what it is but probably lame and it's just the merge. Everyone but Jon stays true...Jon becomes the Free agent OR WILDCARD that he always said CB was!

3. Yul reveals the possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribemates. How will this information affect his position around camp?

Yul tells Ozzy and most likely Sundra. They set it up for Ozzy to lose IC and Yul to win and Yul to give HI to Ozzy just in case Jon does not vote with Aitu 4

This just solidifies Aitu4 even more

4. One Survivor considers betraying their alliance at Tribal Council and voting out an ally, a decision that will cause drama back at camp. Which way do they vote?

Jon votes Nate with Aitu4 and Ozzy keeps the HI and gives it back to Yul after TC. Aitu4 isn't even sure so Ozzy has HI just in case.

The CBS press release for November sweeps says Ep 10 is merge ep.

I am aware of it. I've seen that few weeks ago.
All I'm saying is that it might be a fake merge(which is also a merge in a sense). Or they might announce merge after the TC, which is merge in EP10.

Based on that promo - it could also be Yul saying "I know you have no reason to trust me" to Jonathan - trying to get him to come over to their side and vote with them.

Thanks for posting the video, Forehead.

My thoughts from the video:

1. I think Yul DOES reveal he has the HII to Jonathan in hopes of further persuasion for Jonathan to flip BACK.

2. I think Jonathan DOES flip back. A first -- has anyone flip-flopped 3 times?? (OrigRaro to NuAitu to NuRaro to Fearsome Foursome) I would LOVE that. Especially since I want Yul's 4-Pack to add a 5th Wheel to diminish Raro.

3. With the porno music playing while Adumb & Candice are making out -- will our relationship first mean they actually go so far as doing the deed while they're in the game??

Someone else DID flip-flip as much, if not more than that - Rob Cesternino. The "best player to never win the game".

Yul reveals his possession of the hidden Immunity Idol to a few select tribemates.

Becky already knows.
Looks from end-of-show promo that Yul tells Ozzy.
Here's another one.

When it rains it pours. Why are there 4 threads about this?

Hi mommamia,

We traditionally have had for each episode:
- a title thread
- a thread for webclues
- a thread for vidcaps for post show promo aired on tv
- a thread for vidcaps for the webpromo

Separate threads for the latter two (with a lot of pics) make sense for users with slower dial-up connections.

I agree that title, webclues, press release could all be consolidated in a single riddles thread though.

I also noticed that you were the first to post the webclues in the title thread, and the discussion could have continued there. I would be in favor for a single riddles thread. Next time, it could help to change the subject title to reflect new info. There seems to be more "action" when it's clear new info is posted. I'm with you though, that we all should read all posts/discussions before starting a new thread.

a good thing to discuss every once in awhile.
1) it drives me nuts that all the vidcaps aren't in the same thread. I'm too old to remember which is the web promo and which the preview, and then we have subsequent promos. Anyone still on dial-up isn't serious about vidcaps, are they?

JUST.ONE.VIDCAP.THREAD would be great.

The Episode Title gets released as much as two weeks in advance and that's the pre-spec which can get kind of long.

The web teasers start the week off afresh and I like having them at the top of the thread, not as post 45 in the meandering episode title spec which is full of discarded as often as not.
Press Releases are just misdirection released later in the week. All the misdirection released that week should be kept in one thread, and ideally the voiceovers from the promos would be collected in the misdirection thread for comparison.

My two cents.

All excellent ideas! As the "usual" one to start the vidcaps with the post show promo, I will be happy to label the thread as "ALL promos for Episode 11" or something to that effect. Inevitably though, it will depend on the person that posts the webpromo vidcaps to follow suit and post them in that original thread and not start their own. I will, could try to be very diligent and post them next Friday.

As for the Episode title thread, yes, I agree with OFG, that that is the thread that starts the pre-show spec and deserves it's own thread, and then I also like having the Misdirection thread, started off with the website clues. But, I am in favor of that thread including all of the voiceovers from the promos and everything else, all the press-releases, etc. It makes sense to have everything CBS chooses to tell us in one thread.

...just my 2 cents...

Great 4 cents OFG and FP!

Since, CBS has gotten so slow with releasing the titles this season, I forgot that out title thread is for pre-spec.

I like your suggestions:
-title thread for pre-spec
-single vidcap thread
-misdirection thread with webclues, press release, promo riddles, and anyting else CBS throws our way during the week

Major lurker on the Survivor boards, very few posts here. I was thinking of something. Could this "merge" be misdirection just because it's Thanksgiving? Could the twist that they do merge just for a Thanksgiving feast, and then be told later, it really isn't? Remember that bottle giving the Raro tribe the impression that they will merge, but found out they had to vote out another tribe member?

Jeffy did say they would probably never merge - jmo.

It's the merge. Merge feast, merge buffs, merge individual immunity challenge. If there were a fake merge, the immunity challenge would still be tribal.

Too fast for me...just reviewed the Tivo schedule and saw the description for the next ep. Yep, it's a merge.

Per forehead's link to the Thanksgiving promo:

Jon: "I'm here to win a million dollars!"

Nate: "Shut up fool!"

The irony and misdirection is Jon's swing vote will shut out Nate (IMO).

Boy, "drama back at camp", that's an understatement!
