Did I lose a day or miss a memo? I wouldn't be that surprised, but it is Wednesday, is it not?

I sent IceCat a PM asking the same thing.

He usually does this for TAR which should be tonight...unless I missed a memo as well.

Or that drive home went through a time vortex or something.

Exactly, Snidget, I'm concerned about the time vortex thing.
Because right after I posted this, someone IRL asked me a completely unrelated question about a Thursday event as if it were Thursday today. I started to freak out a bit.

Who the heck were all those people during the intro, were they on this season????!!!?

I love watching the opening credits every once in a while...I say the same thing. It is also interesting to see what the "survivors" looked like waaayyy back in the day (well, 30-something days ago). Shane looked like a little baby face, I think he has aged 25 years in the 4+ weeks they've been there.

It's the Super Challenge for the family Reward!

"RE: Oh hell!"
Posted by vince3 on 05-04-06 at 08:05 PM
Round 1: Dig for the Battle Bag! Shane is eliminated.

Round 2: Untie the snake from the low tunnel while carrying your bag. Cirie is eliminated.

Round 3: Grab a fish while carrying the bag and the snake. Bring all three to the finish line. Danielle is eliminated.

Round 4: Aras vs Terry in the wood plank obstacle course, while carrying all 3 items. Aras lost his bag and was eliminated.

Terry wins reward!

Who gets what love?

Boston is a pretty tall kid!

Two survivors get their loved one on the reward location.
Terry and Shane

One gets to live like a survivor. Cirie

One gets a hug and that's it. Aras

The other one gets absouletly nothing and the survivor goes to Exile Island. Danielle for revenge on the F3 plan going to hell.

Kind of funny, seeing Terry pick Shane to share the reward's highest tier. I guess it was that or take a chance on being murdered in his sleep.

In a slightly different season, the allocation would have been the nastiest thing ever. This year -- meh.

Yeah, Terry got a big "go ##### yourself" from me on that one.

Seriously, would any Casaya vote for Terry at this point over any other Casaya?

Terry was unbelievable! He robs me the wrong way too.
Even though I think his choice of 'family allocation' was right, but the way he explained it was just wrong!
Because they (Danielle and Aras) are young and it's just their moms so they are less derserving?! Sure, marriage is important, but that alone does not justify who is more deserving or not!

"RE: S12 EP12 East Coast Update Thread"
Posted by sica077 on 05-05-06 at 00:08 AM
I agree that he should've kept his mouth shut on why he chose who he did...but he HAD to choose someone to get "no love" (if I was Terry I would have chosen Danielle, as well), and he HAD to choose someone to just get a hug (once again, if I was Terry, I would have chosen Aras). Unfortunately, he opened his big mouth when he felt the need to explain himself...no explaination necessary, Terry, we all know why you did what you did.....

Raises both hands.

Terry and Shane have no clue on what's happening. They think Danielle is history.... (Yeah, right, sure!)

So, was this the official episode where they decided "Let's tell the audience that there is no way in hell Terry will win this"?

Pissing off the strongest (meaning challenge AND stature) man in the game and the one person who seems to be attached at the hip (Danielle) is a hideous move.

Shane got a nice redemption edit tonight.

Seriously, the post-reward discussion with Aras and sending Danielle to EI as revenge may seal his fate. Pure hatred may force someone like Danielle to take someone more liable to beat her over Terry if she wins an endurance challenge to end it all (and she seems like the perfect type).

Basics

RC: Terry
The RC was the Family Reward Challenge with a Superleg. Terry got to choose who got what from the family
(2) - Off to a nice place with food/beds/etc.
(1) - Come back to camp with family member
(1) - Hug from family member; go back to camp
(1) - No contact other than a few words, off to Exile Island

Terry won, he chose himself (wife) and Shane (son) to go to the nice place. Then Cirie (husband) back to camp, Aras (mother) for hug, Danielle to Exile Island

IC: Terry Won
Stand on a pole with a bucket, dump it into the ocean, pull it up 20 feet and pour it into a small bamboo (?) tube 10 feet down or so. The water raises a flag, first to grab the flag wins. Shane was never a factor (poured down wrong tube), everyone else in hunt, Terry beats Aras

TC: Shane goes home on a 3-1-1 vote
Shane was surprised after Danielle/Aras/Cirie vote him out, with Shane going for Danielle, and Terry with an inane throwaway vote to Aras.

What's happening?

"Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Estee on 05-04-06 at 08:49 PM
I guess he could win the next Immunity and pass the idol to whoever he wants to take to F3 with him, but as for playing it himself? 'Nothing' is in sight and coming up fast. Was this the most pointless game twist ever?

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Fishercat on 05-04-06 at 08:53 PM
Well, I think it is void after the F4, so the pass wouldn't work.

They got unlucky with the twist, it would have been good in someone decent's hands

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Estee on 05-04-06 at 08:57 PM
It's good for one more episode (to carry someone into F3), and then it's void. I'd like to see Jeff at least ask the bearer to turn it in and cue the pointlessly dramatic music one last time.

LOL Estee, do you think Shane will bring his woodberry to the jury questioning?

lol, cant wait to hear what this idiot says

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Fishercat on 05-04-06 at 08:59 PM
If Terry is smart about it, after he wins immunity (I know, assumptions), he gives it to Cirie, tells Cirie to vote for Aras. All three of them vote for Cirie on a backstab, Cirie uses it and it bounces to an Aras boot. Terry should easily be able to take Cirie and (to a lesser extent) Danielle in the final challenge and then boot Cirie.

But he won't.

LAST EDITED ON 05-04-06 AT 10:48 PM (EST)

Well after the previews, Terry and Cirie fight not Terry and Danielle...so I think the tie is Aras and Cirie vote Danielle (we saw Cirie wants her out) and then Danielle and Terry vote Cirie. Aras must want Cirie next to him at F3 with Terry bc Aras must think Terry won't take Cirie and Cirie thinks he won't take Aras...

Interesting we also saw Terry giving his jury speech about how he does everything in camp and wins all challenges but imho that's the only time he will get a chance to make his spiel to the jury bc I don't think he wins the F3 challenge...too much editing shows that Aras is finally going to win one --on the legit at F3 and not when Terry "tanks" at f4 to save his strength for final 3 endurance challenge.

Also did Danielle tell Terry about the Shane vote, that's why he voted Aras or was it that Terry is programmed to do nothing but vote for Aras

I thought Cirie might vote Danielle and then it would have been a 2-2 D-S tie bc of Terry's Aras vote.. that's why I think Danielle may have told Terry that it DAC were all voting Shane and so Terry just voted Aras

I really do think Cirie was going to vote Danielle thinking Terry was alos but then changed her mind at TC when Shane kept talking about how great a F2 partner he would be...that was the final nail in his coffin SHUT UP!!

Boston is a cutie and Trish was a bad liar Great swan song for Shane...I felt sorry for him...I think Courtney not Shane will be bitter on jury. Shane is actually a very stand up nice guy imho.

or was it that Terry is programmed to do nothing but vote for Aras

That was the most boneheaded thing Terry has done so far. He must have trusted Shane's word that Aras and Cirie were going to vote for Danielle. But why didn't he vote for her too, just *in case* Cirie or Aras decided not to? What an idiot.

I'm giving terry the benefit of the doubt here...I think Danielle told Terry Shane was going by voted from DAC--why elsel vote for Aras..unless he was trying to force a tie for some reason to then be maybe be deciding vote in revote...

i.e. Shane gets votes from only D and A
Danielle gets votes from S and C

on revote A and C keep same and Terry finally decides something...

or he just is a robot....and nothing else COMPUTES but voting for Aras

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Brownroach on 05-05-06 at 05:10 PM
Why should Danielle have told him anything about what was really happening? Why would they even have a conversation about it? Terry even said he wanted her gone next at the beginning of the Ep.

And it seemed to me that Terry looked quite surprised by the outcome of the vote.

I think Terry just wants to psych Aras out at every opportunity. It was just stupid. Too bad for Terry that Jeff didn't read the vote.

I don't know....it's bugging me tho!! Shane told Terry at reward that Danielle was next and it appeared thruout the ep. that Terry was on board ...maybe he actually thought about it and figured Shane and Danielle were the only two he had a chance at beating at f2 and so he just threw away his vote ....again!

I hypnotized Terry with my incredible oobies

"RE: Terry's vote"
Posted by ceedee on 05-06-06 at 03:41 PM
I haven't kept track of all of Terry's votes, but had the impression they have almost always been for Aras. I thought he may have been thinking that as each Casaya turns on each other, there will be a lot of bitterness towards those who were turned on/voted off - and he may increase the chance of getting Casaya jury votes if he can honestly say - "Hey - I never voted you off - it was your own teammates that betrayed you." or at least rely on their bitterness about how it was done - and he wasn't part of the successful plotting.

Unless I really misunderstood, I heard Terry say that now he can use the mini-idol to get to the final 3. I thought it was only good up to the final 4. Could Terry be mistaken or am I?

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."

It is good through the Final Four, so he can lose next week and still be immune.

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."

I am truly p****d off at them rolling over and no longer fighting to win challanges. Just shows how assumption becomes self fulfilled prophecy, eh?

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Fishercat on 05-04-06 at 08:58 PM
I don't see them rolling over. They rolled over in the food or endurance challenge, but they just haven't been able to beat Terry yet, but many were close. And that rollover got Nick off, so it wasn't that bad.

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Sunny_Bunny on 05-04-06 at 09:00 PM
Well... Ra and I both have been a bit amazed at how everyone on the tribe seems to assume that Terry will win every. single. challange.
and if you listen to what they have said over the past few weeks, they ALL have assumed that.

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Fishercat on 05-04-06 at 09:07 PM
Doesn't mean they roll over, and it's a fair assumption at this point. They all try, look at Aras today and in the preview. There's a difference between lacking self-confidence against Terry and rolling over.

"RE: Terry may never use the mini-idol."
Posted by Round Robin on 05-04-06 at 11:31 PM
Nobody's gonna roll over for Terry, not at TC and not at a challenge either. He's become way too arrogant for his own good, and it's gonna bite him in the @$$ bigtime.
