OK...I asked around, and I don't think anyone's running a "Be the hamster" game for BB6. So, I'm willing to step into the sensible high heels of our charismatic host Julie if anyone's willing to play along.

For those of you not familiar with the game, it works as such. Everyone picks a houseguest to play for the season, and you post as that houseguest after each episode (or, perhaps after a week of episodes because this show is on so often). If all the houseguests get taken, or if you don't want to commit to every week, you can also play as inanimate objects like the Big Brother table, the house pet, a hamster's family member or the like, too. There are no points or prizes -- just a chance to have fun and be snarky.

I have some sig-pic-making skills, so I can get you a sig pic for your character if you need one (or, make one yourself if you're so inclined). First-come, first serve on the characters. If you haven't seen the houseguests yet, they're on the CBS Web site and linked from the Big Brother spoiler page.

So -- anyone up for it?

eta: If my explanation sucks, check out the Survivor and Amazing Race basher forums for examples of the "Be the..." games.


And if someone already wanted to do this, and I'm stepping on his/her shoes, I yield the floor.

Hamsters, please remember that there will probably be a number of new posters joining the forums once the show starts. There are also a number of regular posters who will not be participating in the hamster fest.

Please show good judgment when playing the game by not inundating all threads on all forums. That can be confusing for the folks not in the game, and it's not nice to confuse newbies. I'd also ask that you not play the game on the Spoiler forum at all, since those threads should be reserved for spoilers and speculation only.

When in doubt, just stick to the Libra threads. We've had problems on other forums where the game players would be responding in all of the threads on the forum, and for those folks not playing the game, it was confusing and took the discussions off-topic.

Here I can help you, you have to go to reply with quote and copy and paste the URL to your profile (USER) and then when you reply to a post you see it when you bring it up and you can press the preview button to test the sig pics.

I will throw in a hamster-ish post on occasion, thinking right now about being the hamster cage, or pool (cause then I get to touch the boobies heh heh) or something, probably changing from time to time as opportunites to lampoon arise.

If you want to just drop in as various things, don't worry about a sig pic (you could just link to a photo of a pool or hamster cage, if you like). But welcome aboard!

I've never played this game before (obviously!ha) and I would have just sent you a PM but some other people might be new at it too. Are we just supposed to build our character from what we see on TV, or can spoilers and live feeds be used too? I'm guessing not since not everyone wants to read spoilers. Right now I am busy thinking I might should have been a piece of furniture.

You can do whatever you want with it -- just however you find it fun. Really, there aren't any set rules to this. Some like to stay true to character, others like to (like me) just see it as another chance to be snarky.

Keeping up with the live feeds is certainly not a requirement. I don't -- I don't like to know what happens before it airs. And spoilers from the feeds shouldn't be used at all, because this is in bashers, not spoilers.
