*** Okay, feel free to smack me for bringing it up, but Aya - I'm sure your daughters could tell you that a certain cartoon crime-fighting trio consisting of three sisters (one blonde, one brunette, one redhead - AHEM!) also did a song of the same title in their episode, "Mime for a Change"!

"Love Makes the World Go Round" was recorded by Deon Jackson for Atco. (ItzLisa, I'll have to watch "Mime for a Change" again -- I remember the song that Bubbles sings while drumming, but I didn't remember that as its title.)

Atco was the licensed-product label for Atlantic. As a rule, the stuff Atlantic licensed was great ... but there is always an exception!

Edited to add that I think this song was originally produced by Stax/Volt, but it's a far cry from Otis Redding, Booker T. & the MGs and Isaac Hayes!

There is also a Madonna song by the same name. Its on her True Blue album (I think). Yes in the Eighties, I was a HUGE Madoona fan, complete with the fishnet stockings which fortunetly, my Mom never let me out of the house with.

Mom always said, "Don't play ball in the house".
