9.23.2002:F&O: Noticed the "Print Archives" section on The Push Times site, and decided to poke around their server. Found a bunch of scanned microfiche files, but this one caught my eye. It references the week that Watermark bought the Versailles Casino.

Links to the following pic:

If nobody else has a chance to get to it, I'll try to get this inverted and optimized to an uploadable size (the version of Photoshop I have on this computer is too old to get it down to a manageable size and still be legible).

Here's to hoping this works! This should be a positive view of the photo in the Push Times article.

The rest of the article showed nothing of note when inverted. All the text can be read in the "microfiche" version.

Two comments:

Who's that guy behind the ladies and the ribbon cutters to the left?

Second, they bought the casino from Sloman's. Just goes to prove my Slowman's Slow Dance Bar theory...

Okay - Doesn't it look like this picture has been doctored? Check out the shadows, they are mostly falling back from the people, especially the show girl. Now look at the guy in the background who looks really out of place.... his shadow is falling in front of him, like he (or the others) were manipulated into the scene. The whole picture looks funky to begin with. Any ideas?

That one without the (what I call) "what the heck is he doing" man is from the archived Push Times test site. While it MIGHT offer some insight, it is supposed to not be an "in-game" site. Will it prove useful? Maybe. Maybe not. I say its a best bet to not get your undies in a twist over it.

Even though the original picture came from the pre-show Pushtimes site archive, the same newspaper clipping and picture are used in Ep 1 during Jim's library research montage. This brings the picture "in-game" and admissible as a clue.

And when you also think about the rules stipulation that you only need to watch the TV show to solve the mystery, this puts the "doctored" 2nd photo into a somewhat tenuous light, since it was only revealed through the Enoch website and never actually shown on TV.
