Awwww. We've known they weren't exactly the tightest of partners for some time now, and here's an "official" update on these two. I'm starting to wonder if FUX is going to screw Zora over regarding her half of the million...

'Joe Millionaire' & Zora break up

NEW YORK (AP) -- The made-for-television fairy tale has ended for "Joe Millionaire" winner Zora Andrich.

The 30-year-old former substitute teacher said it's over between her and Evan Marriott, star of the Fox reality-romance series. Marriott chose Andrich from 20 women competing for his affection who believed he was worth $50 million, when he was really a construction worker who earned $19,000 a year.

"I really liked him, but we haven't talked since the 'Joe' reunion in February," she told Us Weekly magazine for its March 31 issue. "He's so caught up in everything. I'd rather be with a construction worker than with someone who craves the spotlight like that."

Andrich said she kept the jewelry she received during the show, but has yet to receive her half of the $1 million she and Marriott learned they would split during the finale.

Once she gets the money, she said, "I'm going to help relatives in Serbia get medical care." She also wants to become a holistic nurse.

"When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on."

I'd like to hear Fox explain why Zora hasn't received her half of the money yet. I wonder if Evan has gotten his half?

I saw an Evan commercial the other day. KFC, I think.

Personally, Zora is coming off as a little bit TOO goody-goody here. Of course this is Evan's big opportunity, and if he lets it get by, he'll never get another such chance. It's too bad they're not seeing each other, but Zora shouldn't condemn Evan for being who he is.

I have a strong feeling that Zora was never Evan's choice. But he was guided to feel this way by the show's staff because it had that fairy tale quality. And also she was the girl most likely to not dump him if he didn't have the bucks.
