Just a quick poll... Who else besides yours truly suspects that these two might very well be the most obnoxious girls on the planet? Their constant declarations of "I'm gonna die" at the slightest thing, which I swear I've heard more than twenty times in just the first four episodes. Their shrieking and running around like madwomen at the sight of a single bug... are there no bugs anywhere in the state of California or on the entire continent of Europe? Their howling laughter at each other's wacky antics, such as Nicole's loading too many onions into the onion ring maker thingamabob. Oh, the hilarity! And that little dog that paris toted all the way out there, complete with its little $1,500.00 fashion accessory.
Now I understand that they grew up fabulously wealthy (who knew Lionel Richie still had any money?), I understand that they've never had to put in a day's work in their lives (except, apparently, in the recording studio... funny, isn't it, how anyone with a smidge of celebrity eventually goes into acting or singing? I suppose it's a good way to get a "job" without actually working), and I understand that that same upbringing has probably kept them sheltered from a good many things... ie, Paris thinking that Wal-Mart was a store that sold walls. I'm convinced that they share an IQ of about 100, split evenly down the middle. Yet still, I watch. What's wrong with me? LOL
Personally, I keep waiting for Nicole to ask one of the locals where she can score some heroin, or for Paris, couple of local boys in two, to ask the family if she can borrow their video camera for about an hour or so. Now THAT would make for a great half-hour of TV.
