Depends. Did anyone write an automatic voting program for him the way someone did for the Robfaddah? Unless CBS has a way of telling which votes were human-produced and which ones were pure code, the winner will be the oontestant who had the most people creatively bending the rules for hir benefit.

It would be sort of fitting if that winner was Boston Rob, though.

I'm sure rupert will win, he played ok on allstars,but deserved it for pearl islands! I guess it's his body of work!
rob m is really the one who worked the hardest,took all the bullets,won everything practically and deserved the million that amber stole from him!! but I don't think he'll get a second chance!

Personally I think since it's only the All Stars that are eligible for the second million, that's who will be there. I don't doubt there will be other Survivors in the audience though.

Either way...it's gonna be a yawn. The only reason I'm even going to watch is for stuff regarding S9.

Agreed. The two big questions are 'Where's the next series set?' and 'Who's got the best cheat code running?'

Imagine if that last is Tina.

I'm curious as to how they're going to stretch it out. Fifty-five minutes of 'So how have things been in the last few days', then get the winner and first shots in during the last three hundred seconds? Two minutes? Closing credits?

If they cut into the Frasier finale, there's going to be some very unhappy people on this board. (And note that's starting at 8:55 EDT.)

now I understand...the reason I asked I asked about the Vols is my stepson played baseball for the Volunteers back in 2001 when they went to the college world series in Omaha...My husband and I have been surprised to find out how many Volsfans there are...

Jiffy really pumpin up the votes tonight! The votes will be read narrowed from 18 to 4 to 1!

Butt first...what has happened since Sunday night! US, EW and People have Rob/Amber cover. Update with them talking about what they have done since Sunday. Rob has been to New York to Vegas then back the NY!

Amber says that she has been making the rounds and it has been a whirlwind tour. Possible discussion going on to air the wedding as a reality TV wedding. They are in negotiation! If the price is right so says Rob! Jiffy says that he is an ordained minister and they could get married on the spot and get it over with.

Jerri up next. Jiffy says he is glad she is there. Jerri says that she has scoped out the first exit. She felt that it was horrifying to get booed like she did! She said she made her point by leaving and not saying anything else. BLAH BLAH BLAH! Jiffy ask Jerri if she is upset with him (Jiffy) and she felt the audience was not kept under control to make her feel safe and she blames Jiffy! WTF? Jerri says she was being judged and wasn't able to express herself!

Jiffy asks for Richard's take on the whole thing. Jiffy says that Dique likes being hated. It is entertainment! Jiffy says when you are on TV you become who the audience thinks you are.

Rob C. next up and says that it is a game and it is tough being a bad guy!

Jiffy asked Lex about the extended family. Lex says it was hard on his kids to watch last week. But they are a tight knit family and it will be ok.

Jiffy is going back to Jerri and says that some people think they are there because they have contractal obligations. Jiffy says not true and if they want to go...leave now!

FIRST FINAL FOUR PERSON for 2nd million...

Honestly, it's nothing to do with his age or looks. I don't think he's unattractive; it's his personality I don't like (different strokes, like you said). I can't get past not liking him, so I can't find him sexy. That's all. I may be in the minority. I don't get Tom's popularity, and apparently much of America loves him!

Honestly, I wish him the best of luck in his wrestling career. They may be scripted outcomes, but that's real pain in the ring. The idea of Johnny Fairplay getting thrown around every week -- no problems here.

For Tom making the Final 4, I am guessing sympathy for how Rob did him wrong. He went the furthest for the people Rob screwed over. Plus, sympathy for Rob making fun of his son.

I really don't get it either however. He came accross badly in the finale Sunday. I would have thought Kathy, Rob C (with the vote cheating) or Rudy would have been ahead of Tom.

And I thought Kathy had a huge following!

I'm soooo in agreement with JP being sexy. I honestly thought when he was ready to announce sexiest male survivor, that he'd pause, wink and say "It's me!!".

I'm going to confess something. My Idiot husband is going to be ending his Flaming Idiot career at the New Victory Theater on Broadway on Memorial Day. I actually put out feelers to see if we could get JP to come do the final show and end the whole 20 year thing by coming out on stage. Standing next to the three Flaming Idiots while they hold their torches and say "Idiots, the tribe has spoken" and then snuff all three torches. The stage would go black and that would be it.

I thought it would be a fabulous idea! Of course there was that tiny selfish reason of getting to hang with JP for the evening, but that's beside the point!

I've generally made a point of going to the Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival in Waxahachie once or twice a year since 1990.

Watching The Flaming Idiots was always a highlight for me.

I would like to think the Flaming Idiots would return to the Renaissance Festival, but if not, A 20 year run at anything is something to be proud of. I know your husband brought joy & laughter to an unbelievable number of people. If this really is the end of the Flaming Idiots, I hope he has as good a run at his next venture as he did at this.

Survivor IX will be going back to the South Pacific, Isle of Vanatua (sp?). Looks like it is going to be a good one! It will be this fall!

No. 1 favorite moment...Rupert stealing Morgan shoes on the first show of last season!

Well of the F4 Rupert was my choice so I'm glad he can now take care of his girls and "boys" he mentors.

I was very pleasantly surprised with tonight's show! It was very entertaining and I was expecting a very BLAH show! This has ended on a high note for me (except Rupert winning the million!)!

See you guys in July/August (hopefully we will start getting spoilers by then!)!

ETA: For those that might be fighting withdrawals after tonight..please come over to the "Off Topic" forum. We are a disfunctional family but we have a great time! You can find us here. Just be ready for some *waves* *smooshies* and *headbutts*!

Sorry y'all, I am glad Rupert won!

#1, Because I wanted him to, and as I analized his game play and his impact on the popularity of the show, his larger than life character in S7 and his strategic play in All Stars (yes I do believe he was very strategic), I felt he deserved it.

#2, I didn't like the vote programs for Rob M and Rob C that skewed the vote. I wanted America to pick. They have spoken.

Thanks everyone for a great season in this EC thread. I always read it late at night after my family goes to bed to find your take on the episode and all of the funny comments. I have never been disappointed!

I don't tape the show, but if I remember correctly, Jiffy NEVER said that the "Final 4" were the top 4 vote-getters. He said we're going to pare it down to a final 4 and then announce the winner, or something like that. He never mentioned votes, except when he revealed the winner and made it sound like all 38,000,000 people voted for Rupert.

And I looked at the CBS website and there is nothing about vote totals there, just an announcement that Rupert won.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made up an artificial final 4.

ETA: Sorry, my bad -- I intended to respond to the original post, not to Get Bent's post. Don't know what I did that it wound up here...

I cant recall BR about what he said about "final 4", but you may be right.

I do not think they will ever reveal the breakdown of the votes, but if I were one of the #####, I would demand a count. Were there any chads???

I checked Rob C's site and no update since yday about last nite's show. I was really disappointed he didnt make it to "final 4"

Thanks for the edit comment. I was confused.

The only vote count information I found was when Rupert answered a question on the Early Show. He said he was told he received 85% of the vote. He thought that meant about 30 million votes.

Personally, I can't believe this percentage. Other survivors have huge followings and of course we had the two Rob's programs in place before anyone changed it for their favorite Survivors vote.

I really thought Rob M. would win (hence my support for Rupert in the other threads).

GB, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the others had zealous fans making up programs to vote for them over and over as well.

I'm hardly surprised that Rupert would get the most votes. But I think it's weird that CBS hasn't posted any statistics for their "final 4" at least. Why not reveal exactly how many votes Rupert got? It just makes the whole enterprise seem more dubious in my opinion.

I wanted to thank all the wonderful people over here at spoilers this season! This was my first real season posting and I have had fun. I will be saying hi over at OT during the summer, between fires I am sure.

Jeff said the the winner of the most popular Survivor ever is going to be decided.

The question on the cbs website said who on Survivor All-stars deserved to win the million.

Jeff changed the wording of the question and from there I knew Rupert had won....as if I didn't already know.

CBS changed the question on Monday afternoon--it was changed to:

Who do you want to win the million dollars?

It could be the deserved question was the question they had prepared if they did not award the second million.

On Sunday night, when Jeff announced the second million award, here's what he said:

"You have never participated; you have never had a vote.CBS is putting up a second million dollar prize and you are the jury.

You can vote for any one of the all stars and for any reason you think is appropriate. .... you can hear their case on line and decide who to vote for."

And when he awarded the vote lat night I think he said "your favorite survivor is"

It's pretty clear that CBS was going for favorite/popular vote.
