I'm guessing Phillip doesn't understand the concept of an "alliance"?

When you're in an 8 person tribe, and you are in an 8 person alliance....you aren't really in an alliance. ;)

At this point, the only concept Phillip has a grip on is How To Get Camera Time.

On the contrary, that would be the perfect way to play: No Outsiders to flip in case of a swap or at the merge if they are all dumb enough to believe him. Like Phil said: He wanted Brandon in the alliance only to contain him.

What Phillip didn't understand is that you can't contain a Hantz when he's off his meds.

Agree. A nine-person alliance is extremely unweildy, but with the Faves outnumbering the Fans by an increasing margin it becomes more and more likely Faves will be dominant in both tribes after a swap. No guarantees, of course, but each of their chances improve with Bikal solidarity. Post merge is when it becomes problematic when they start picking off their own.

But it seems Brandon is so intent on destruction that it won't hold together at nine more than a few days.
