I think Mike has read the book Ender's Game. His strategy last night in the reward challange seems to reflect that.He figured out first that it did not matter if you statue hit the ground as long as the other guy's did it first. So he tosses it in the air and completly distracts his opponent while Mike knocks his statue off and wins his match.

Not sure he needed a book to tell him that. The strategy became evident when Jeff and Malcolm squared off and knocked each other's idol, Jeff only winning because his idol didn't hit the ground first.Skupin broke that challenge, doing it a way that wasn't considered by the designers. It was obviously a stupid challenge: The two players could have simply stared each other down, throwing their idol up in the air as far as they could one after the other.
