Sorry for the delay folks but I've been offline all afternoon, and besides, with the series unfolding right in line with the Final 4 spoilers that leaked months ago, there's very little left to spoil this week -- unless you think that somehow Shii-Ann will win immunity twice or that somehow she won't, but that for some reason the F4 will suddenly turn on Tom instead.

Reward Challenge

The castaways' friends/family members compete in a gross food challenge. Yawn. Big Tom appears to win because we see a clip of him and son standing in front of an empty challenge table. I think that about sums up the thinking. Besides, anyone want to bet against the stomach of a teenage boy??? You ever seen one of those kids eat?!?!

REWARD CHALLENGE WINNER: TOM

Immunity Challenge / Bootee

The Immunity Challenge looks like a re-do of Survivor Australia's "Fire And Rain," with the idea being to fill a bucket with seawater such that the weight of the water lifts a flame (which the survivor also had to start) to light the top of a tower. Since this is physical challenge (with all the running to shore and back), it's hard to pick against Rob, but there is also a fire-lighting aspect (where Rob might struggle) and there is some vidcap evidence that points to RUPERT being ahead, so we'll go with that.

The more important detail of the challenge is that based on their frowns, it looks like neither Tom or Shii Ann win immunity, leaving the F4 with their choice of bootees. At this point, it makes little sense to make yet another jury enemy by booting Tom instead of Shii Ann (while Tom might still be upset to go out fifth -- although based on his lack of scheming, its unclear how he could reasonably expect to get any further -- he'd almost certainly be even more upset to go out before Shii Ann) so, if Shii Ann fails to win immunity, there's little reason to think her head won't once again be in the target sights of her fellow castaways.
