This is during the IC, each ### has a different color bucket.
I think this is either him spilling it on him when someone else wins (more likely) or when he wins himself.

From the caps
Shii is green (look under her chin)

Tom is blue

Jenna is red

Rupert (with some fluffy clean? hair) is yellow

Rob is black

Is Amber orange look at the tarp on the closest tower(She is the only one to the left of Rob)

So from the caps the order from the trees is:

Rob is looking to his right when he pounds the ground, so we know Amber is not the winner (also he wouldnt be SOOOO mad if his Amber won immunity). I think its Rupert's fireworks and fire on top of the tower that he's looking at.

It could get nasty, but in the end the Robfaddah wields too much power and the Shii-devil will be brought to tears & must go "buh-bye".

I would guess that advantage for RC would have to go to Shi Ann's mom. If the daughter can eat anything the mother can't be to far behind.

But Jeff (incorrectly?) eliminates her from the competition, so Bucky Bo wins.

On the order of people, does the guy next to Laura Rupert look like Rob's brother? That's how I would pencil it in, but I haven't tried to go back and match him up to the video from home shots, not that it really matters . . .

I'd say if this involves racing, speed, agility, and perhaps even a little cheating (a la Colby with picking up the gravel from the river bed to make his pail heavier, quicker), then Boston Rob SHOULD win this challenge and be wearing the old IN soon.

i gotta agree with ya here FP, this is definately the fire/rain challenge from S2, and i have no doubt that they will have changed the rules just slightly since then. i will bet that instead of going down to the water to fill the coffee can, they will just have either a seperate bucket for each person to scoop out of, or one big tank for all of them to share. they are not going to take the chance that someone here might actually be a smart as colby. or at least that someone here remembers how colby did it.

i agee also that rawb is the most likely winner here, just because of all the running. it's too bad the challenge isn't building a fire under water, or something else that rupert would have a chance at.

I agree, we all KNOW that Shii Ann is going home in this episode, but is the preview just giving it away? "Shii Ann is not going down without a fight." Interpretation: "Shii Ann will get voted out tonight, but she's sure as he!! gonna b!tch before she does!"

ETA: What is the order of the challenge, water first then make fire, or make fire and then get water. It could be same as Australia but they could mix it up.

sode 10 Survivor Outback Immunity Challenge: FIRE & RAIN

Description: Each Survivor is given a T-shaped "fire scale." On one side is a fire pan, on the other a bucket with a small hole in the bottom. The Survivors must light a fire in the fire pan, then, using a small bucket, race to the river to finally fill the larger bucket on the opposite side of the fire scale. The weight of the water in the bucket will lift the fire pan into the air and ignite a fuse. The first person to ignite their fuse wins.

After looking at the Saturday Promo see my post below #34, I'm not sure that Rob wins this one. He looks like he is pounding the ground as he is making his fire, like someone has won just then.

Shii and Tom do not win both with looks of "disgust" with smoke in the air

Also this is Tom stopping while he's trying to get water and spilling the water on himself after somebody else has won

Here Rob is already getting water and Rupert is kneeling down, still building his fire?

I dont see anyone else winning this challenge but Rob, now I think maybe Rupert wins it

BTW FP, Colby filled up his pail with gravel too to block the leak to be able to carry more water back without losing as much--he came from behind to beat Nick

I know Colby did'nt cheat, emydi....I was just being all encompassing as I noted post #25 from the tick....he "Shii-Ann'd" his way into this thread with that one.....ha!

Even if he did "cheat" Jiffy wouldnt have called him on it!!!

Seriously, I think they will probably change this challenge so the ##### cannot get gravel, only water. Maybe instead of going to the river, lake, etc, they go just to a "man-made" pool of water with nothing but H2O.

Could Rob be starting his fire here, striking the flint or whatever they have to start it with. What did they start their fires with in S2? Rob, sure looks like he's moving at warp speed, look at his necklaces flying. And it does look like Rupert sure is stationary doing something while Rob is running with the pail.....I still am leaning toward a Rob win.

HF: The guy with the long shirt and pants looks like Shii-devil to me.

Okay, here are some pics of Rob retrieving wood to build his fire:

Then,in the first shots with the only 3 episodes left cap on top, we can see Rob running by Rupert (with something red) with his pail to raise his fire....wearing a hat.

I think he's obviously got his fire going, while Rupert is still trying to make his fire at this point.

Then, we have these pics with Rob SANS hat, I think trying to build or light his fire with the flint....he probably took his hat off here so he would'nt burn it while bending down to light/blow on his sparks to make his fire. So, I do not think he's pounding sand, he's just lighting his fire, and note again how his necklaces are flying, he is moving very fast....probably has his fire lit, and will now race off soon to get the water with his pail....

I still say I think Rob will win this one.

I generally agree on Rahb having a lead and hence being the primary contender for an IC win.

But I seem to recall something else about that challenge that stood out other than Colby's gravel. Wasn't it the case that as the leaky buckets on the lever were filled and the lever was just reaching equilibrium, that the firepans made several bouncy trips up and down before enough water could be fetched into the leaky buckets to keep the fire pan up. And didn't that have the effect of fanning out someone's flames to some degree? This is all from memory of 6 seasons ago so I could be wrong. But, I seem to remember that someone else was close but stopped momentarily to add wood to their fire to keep it going. Even if Rahb is ahead as he seems to be, if he has rushed and does not have a good quality fire, then someone could pass him by, perhaps this is why he is "pounding the sand". He had a lead but blew it.

I don't remember the IC details either.

Just because Rupert is seen behind Rawb, who knows? It could be Rawb's first trip for water and Rup's second.....I really hope so.

I dont think Rob wins this, he's definitely pounding the ground in disgust after losing.

I think he pulls a Keith and doesn't tend his fire and he hurries up and gets water after quickly making a half ### fire. Remember he is always having a sandwich with Amber and Jenna when Tom and Rupert are making fire.

I think Rupert wins this one. Tom spills water on him instead of pounding the ground. THat is just Tom's nature. Oh well, we'll vote Shii out. Whereas Rob is very intense. He hits the ground in disgust because he's just been beaten again by....who else....Rupert

I think this is the straw that breaks the camel's back for Rob and Rupert's time to go (remember this will be determined by Rob) will be right after Shii goes. Unless he wins immunity again....

at this point you have to lean towards Rupie. And, if Rahb is this upset to again lose to Poopert, it might put a new spin on next week's title "the Instigator". Maybe Rahb is the one instigating for a Poopert boot out of anger/insecurity at having his dominance challenged?

Yes, emydi, we are on the same page....looking more and more like a Rupert win....but check out some of those happy pics of Tom...he's seen all over the vidcaps looking very very happy...I'm wondering if the winners of the RC do get to go to the resort for some R and R with their loved one, taking along perhaps one other chosen survivor and their loved one, while the other "losers" get to go and spend the night with their family members at Chappy....a Chapera surprise???

FP, I like the Chapera surprise idea, that may explain happiness.

But I think EPMB is hitting us over the head with Tom's "happiness" isnt he always like this? Misdirection. But Jenna's hair looks soooo nice and they didnt take the shampoo with them to Saboga and her reward with Amber and Rupert was too long ago for it to look that nice. The hair is something only we would look at, not the casual viewer.

That's why I think Jenna's bro may win this. Also he looks like he could eat anything.

I dont think Tom wins the IC. He just hasnt shown he can be that fast. And his face here in smoke doesnt look too happy

He is wearing the same clothes in both challenges, I think the smoke indicates the above vcap is during the IC.

On another the "Chapera Surprise" thread it was speculated that the surprise may be that the tribe gets to move back to Chapera Island, that could explain Jenna and Rupert's "good hair day".

To me it looks like he might just be "forcibly" scooping up some water in his bucket. Not so much pounding the ground because of a loss.
Then again maybe not.

Tribe....you da MAN!!!! Thanks so much! To me this is not a good sign....looks like Rob is bummed! But you know with SO many vidcaps there seems to be quite a bit that could be misdirection. Perhaps this is an instance. Maybe Rob is just frustrated with trying to get his fire started, while he notes that someone else down the row has already gotten theirs lit. Perhaps, his fire quickly follows and then he is able to catch up and proceed to indeed win??? Or, maybe he had a puny little fire, that indeed blows out and he has to stop and reinforce his, while someone else goes onto win the challenge....alot to speculate on.

As for the Happy Tommy...??? Maybe somewhere along the episode he gets to have a few drinks with his boy??? He also makes quite an appearance in the vidcaps...lots of face time, hmmmm?

...I agree, Jenna is sporting some clean hair, I also noticed that Rupert's is looking quite fluffy in a few caps as well....

Why would Rob be bummed as long as anyone but Shii Ann wins IC?

Rob pounding the ground in disgust seems out of character for him to me. If that's what he is doing, could it be because, for the second time in a row, the person that he didn't want to win immunity does win it?

What I'm wondering is, maybe Rob changes his mind and decides he wants Rupert out this week. We know Rupert and Jenna argue -- we don't know what that's about, but maybe Rupert is waffling about his alliance with Romber and Jenna reports back to Rob. Maybe Rob decides Rupert is more dangerous than Shii Ann to keep around.

So Rob tries really hard to beat Rupert in the IC, but Rupert edges him out -- that's why Rob is pissed.

Just a possibility.
