I would like to offer a game to those of you who are spoiler-free.

It’s a boot list game. Many have played. I will run it through pm’s. You never have to go to the game forum. Although I will post your scores in the regular game.

PTTE was born September 28, 2001, during the S3 Africa season. sleeve created this fun game for RTVW’s enjoyment. Today, I am posting the 20th version. Happy Anniversary to me! I am hosting my 10th season of Survivor PTTE. Where has the time gone?

It’s time for a new season of Survivor.
The 22nd to be exact.
Can you believe it?

We are still in Nicaragua
A country full of incredible natural beauty
volcanoes, beaches, cloud forests
and now a Redemption Island.

There are 18 Survivors trying to win a million dollars.
Who do you think will win?
Who will be the first Survivor kicked off the island?
Who will survive Redemption Island?

Those are a few of the questions of this game.

To start this game you will need to

post a list that reflects your prediction about the ENTIRE boot order
for the season.

Starting with the first castaway (#18)
& ending with the winner (#1).

This is a game and is intended to be fun.

To keep you spoiler free
I will allow you to change your list, after the first show.
Considering this is the first you’ve seen most of them.

But there is a bonus to posting a list (any list) before the show starts.
And I would like to know you are playing.
You do not need to provide a list until the start of the 2nd episode.

Most people who play a non-spoiled game score in the middle.
So don’t worry about a low score.
The LOWEST score wins.

Hope to see some new faces.
Anyone who post a list by the start of the show, the time below,
will receive a free edit for future use.

Okay... how do you play:

SCORING:

1) You do NOT want points...they're bad... it's like golf.
Every point counts against you in the standings, so try to avoid them.

2) Points will be awarded to each boot, after each episode.

They will be awarded as the difference between
where you thought this week's castaway would finish
and where the castaway actually finished.

3) You will be given penalty points every time you change your PTTE list.

+5 points for green game
+8 points for Green All-Stars

suzzee- 1st Green Non-Spoiling Winner

You may change your list as many times as you want, up to the deadline.
The last list at the time of deadline will be used.

4) There will be several tie-breaker questions.
Check back to catch them. I will also send out a PM to alert you.
I have used several tie-breaker questions the last few seasons
to break ties and even determine a winner.

5) The game will be open for anyone to join at anytime.

Entry is free for the first two weeks.

If you do not enter before the 2nd episode, you will start with a score equivalent to 8 (-8) points per episode you missed. That means that it's possible to join the game after several episodes and
enter in first place, but statistically speaking, you'll have a better chance if you enter earlier.

Just a quick question: Do I have 2 free edits, one to use before episode #2 and one for later?

As a Green (non-spoiled) player you have the choice of changing your PTTE list.

To keep you spoiler free

Considering this is the first you’ve seen most of them.

This is just for Green players. I believe you all have watched Survivor enough to come up with a reasonable list, even though you still haven't heard half of the Survivors talk. Dabo - If you plan to stay spoiler free you may use this option.

Thanks for the free edit but I'm going to need some guidance or ruling before/if I use it. I'm not actually spoiler free, I literally drew names (slips of paper from a basket) for my PTTE to genuinely be spoiler free. I just cannot figure out how to maintain that status if I edit.

So, for the time being, I'll stand.

All players who entered last week got a free edit. You can use that.

If you have looked at spoiled boot list, I consider that a spoiler. I have not been able to find one yet but I haven't look very hard. Been kinda busy.

I will leave it up to you players.

I just want everyone to enjoy the PTTE Game.

I thought about it after I posted the above, and if I did figure out a way to randomly generate an edit it would just be another randomly determined list, no better or worse than the first in terms of odds. So it isn't worth bothering about, I'll just keep my list as is. Fran isn't out of the game yet, she still could win!

As for what is out there in source spoiling that I've seen, I've not run across a boot list per se, and what is out there has to be taken with shakers of salt since SEG went hunting for leaks and heads rolled and that sort of thing. And this RI twist caught the Chinese Whispers sourcing guys napping so that they don't even know what they think they know. That doesn't phase me as I'm more interested in things like double tribals, three-ways duels or not, switches, merges, the stuff that helps me figure out and plan ahead for vote threads.

If a player returns in the middle of an episode after winning a duel on RI, or at the end after a Tribal, I really don't know a lot of the stuff I'd like to know. But tht is the sort of thing I think and wonder about.

I think I have got it.

When a player returns from Redemption Island, you may place them in any spot you want. I will remove the player from current list, re-number and score from that point. I think this will work.

This was the task: Give me an excuse for being late. You will get 1 tie-breaker point. I will choose the best excuse and give that person another point. I think you all know me too much.

Here are the excuses:

kircon - My dog ate the computer.

jbug - I'm old; I can't remember carp! I call it sometimers

Tummy - Brad Pitt, Gerard Butler, Robert Downey Jr, Aidan Turner and Matthew McConaughey had you tied up in the bedroom. Literally. I would like to add Matt to that crew

Dabo - I think I got this by mistake, hope that helps. Or Really, though: the check is in the mail, I know I sent it somewhere. ;) Just like the power company wanted to shut off the power on tax day. Check WAS in the mail, but I had to put it on a credit card so they wouldn’t shut us off.

michel - You had Phillip on the line and he was telling you his story about the lion and the gorilla and you are simply too nice to hang up on him. He also told me about his plan to form a hat company with Coach.

Sir tribe - You've been baking a cake. Another amazing cake. Thanks for the compliment, I’m waiting for the next bride.

vennui - I am late because the dog licked my keyboard and I am afraid o doggy germs. And it is so hard to vacuum the hand sanitizer off the keyboard.

suzzee - I'm late because: I had every intention of getting here on time, I even set my alarm early, although when I set it I did PM instead of AM. (both plausible and totally unprovable) As stated above, I’m old and don’t see as well, I didn’t see the little dot that means PM.

Ontheroadagain - I'm confused Isn’t everybody

Travelor - Sorry I am late but I forgot that Survivor switched to Wednesday. So use to it being on Thursday This one drives me crazy. Is that like confusion?

5cats - Okay, the truth is that me and my sibcats were really anxious to get on our faceCat page the other morning and so we brought our breakfast milk bowls over to our caputer and well, things got a little ugly. Can't remember much but it started with some shoving and then the claws came out and........well the result was milk all over the catboard and screen. It took us hours to lick it all up and get the caputer running again. Sorry and we now have learned to never slurp and type again. Purr-fick answer, but that is the reason that my housemates & I have separate caputers.

I loved all the excuses, but my favorite was:

I had Phillip on the line and he was telling you his story about the lion and the gorilla and I am simply too nice to hang up on him.

kircon’s Tie-Breaker Bonus Questions

Because of the high amount of Spoiling Material, I need to find some type of tie-breaker that is individual. This has worked the past few seasons.

Everyone--Regular, Medium Teal, Green, and All-Star players alike— MUST send me a private message containing the following:

1. The order in which the jury will ASK their final
questions.
First to ask a question is #1.

2. ] The order in which the jury will VOTE.
First to vote is #1.

3. The person that each jury member will vote for.

4. How will they show Jeff arriving?

Now, for the scoring:
You do not lose points if you get them wrong.

I am giving 1 point for (each) correct order of the asking of the final questions.

I am giving 1 point for (each) correct order of the voting order.

I am giving 1 point for (each) correct paring of jury member and their correct vote.

I am giving 1 point for a correct answer for #4.

Every two points that you gain from this Bonus (all 4
questions) deducts (adds for Teal) one point from your final score.

This does not change your score just several additional tie-breakers.

Odd-Point Recipient

It is possible to get an odd number of points.
You may use your one point to add (subtract for Teal)
a point to any player of your choice.

They do not lose or gain a point; it is for tie-breaking.

{Hint: you want to give the OPR to the player you
believe you could be in a tie with}

I do not like what Redemption Island does to this game. It has been an exercise in creative thinking. Which I guess is ok, but for game play, it has not been easy.
My plan was to have you insert the person brought back from RI into your list where you thought that person would be booted. I assumed we would have a week to work with. It did not work with Matt, because he was re-booted.

NOW, we have a chance to try this again.
There are 4 people on Redemption Island. Matt, Mike, Andrea, Grant.
ONE will reenter the game.
I will not make you pick which one.

I would like you to tell me where you would like to place each person in your list.
I will insert the Redemption Winner, re-number, and score accordingly.

My example:
Matt – 5 (he will not win immunity and will be voted off in 5th place)
Mike – 3 (he will win immunity and finish in 3rd place)
Andrea – 3 (she will win immunity and finish in 3rd place)
Grant – 5 (he will not win immunity and will be voted off in 5th place)

That is what I think but as a Teal player I want to make the most points as possible.

So my entry will be:

Matt – 1
Mike – 1
Andrea – 1
Grant – 1

I need to think about teal players a little more. For now use the numbers 1-5, I should be able reverse them from 20 -16.

One person will be coming back into the game. They will have their torch extinguished again or they will win the game. I need to place them back into your list for scoring purposes. I want to give you a chance to pick that person. You have a choice of 4 people. I am giving you the chance to tell me where you think each person will exit the game. It’s a bonus.

If you think Matt will win the chance to rejoin the game and end in 3rd place, that is great. (Matt - 3) That is the only answer you give me. What if he doesn’t win RI and Andrea does and goes on to win the entire game? If you don’t give me a number place, I will have to put her in 5th place. (Andrea - 5)

As stated in the rules above. If you don’t tell me a position, I will automatically place them in the 5th place. In the example of Andrea winning, that would give you 4 points. Your scoring is very tight and 4 points could hurt you.

We didn’t have the chance to play this part when Matt re-entered the first time. He was voted off the tribe again during the same show. I had planned to ask you to place him in back into your list where you thought he would exit again. BUT NOW, there is the chance to place the winner of Redemption Island back into your list. I see it in my head, but I am having trouble getting it onto paper. I hope this makes it a little clearer.
