"Posting this one more time couldn't hurt..."

Posted by Survivorerist on 09-11-01 at 03:32 PM
A very wise woman has, on many occasions, always advised me to "be safe." In turn, I would like to know that everyone else is "being safe." So please, for my sake, just reply and tell me you're alright, no matter where you live. This goes double to moonie and Lisa and GG and any other New Yorkers who post here. This would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Dave for posting this list. I have heard from all my friends in NYC, I am glad to see that most of the NYC people are accounted for. Moon, I hope you are ok. My thoughts and prayers are with every single one of you

Give Blood if you can, esp on the East Coast.

Never fear, Dalton is safe....and armed and dangerous (as usual). LOL.

Let those yellow-bellied assasins step one foot on Texas soil and they will rue the day they were ever born!!

The President has CLOSED the entire US/Mexico border until further notice.....so that should put a crimp in the "drug traffic" flow!! Which is a bit of a silver-lining to what an awful dark cloud this day as been for America.

Good post Surv!
I'm just glad we got word that my New Yawk cousins are all fine and dandy(whew)!

Oh boy...we have the Olympics coming here in a few months.
Yet another reason for me to loathe the world coming here!

Mr. Sami was supposed to be in DC this afternoon, at the Capitol, interviewing a senator. Cancelled, obviously.

But safe here in VA, albeit shaken. And my arms ache from holding my kids so close.

I'm so thankful that so many of us are present and accounted for.

Praying for all of us especially those we haven't heard from yet.

Please take care.

I don't have any immediate family where I live, so I thought I'd check in with my online family. Just seeing the list of so many regulars gave me a warm feeling amongst so much tragedy. It's nice to have a common place to gather and offer our concerns for each other and share what little we know. I've been glued to my television ever since I learned of this some seven hours ago, but will keep checking in here to see what others have to say.

Thanks for posting this Svist.
There is a need to know that our online friends are safe as well as family and real life friends.
When tragedy happens we all come together, I am comforted by all the warmth we have had here today. A group grieving, we give each other strength.
I wish you all love, hope you and yours are safe.
Be well
E

( and on a side note, if you tell people I am wise Svist I will start having to act wise, and no one wants that **wink**)

Thanks for the look-out, Surv... We both are indeed in fine shape physically (if not quite so mentally). I also got the good news that my life-long friend (he was the best man in my 1st wedding) in Manhattan is just fine -- he lives a block and half away from the WTC but goes to work in New Jersey at an early hour so he was on the other side of the river... so I feel more relieved.

Our thoughts are with Itzy, Moonie and GG, hoping that they're just in shock and delayed in getting home with the traffic chaos.

A thought... does anybody know which company Moonbaby works for? Just thinking about watching for names of companies that may be affected in this tragedy...

Thank you for posting this Surv...and thank you for the list Dave. Until we hear from our Moonie though, my mind won't be eased. Moon! Get your butt over here!!!!

Not too much to say at a time like this other than I hope everyone is safe at home with the ones that they care about. I'm lost for words as to what to say....my thoughts go out to all.

"moon checking in"
Posted by moonbaby on 09-11-01 at 08:21 PM
Guys it took a while to get here by boat and then a long visit with my family for some hugs-it's good to be home. The towers were the view from my office window. I'll never see it again with the same eyes. It was like ground zero, an image that's going to keep me awake nights for some time. I feel awful. All those lives lost-here and elsewhere-please everyone pray for the people who worked there and their families, and for the people involved in the search and rescue. Share a little love, friends, you never know what's gonna happen.

At last it looks like all our SBers are OK. Big sigh of relief!!

Give you a bear hug....pass it on!

Glad to hear all the New Yorkers have checked in and are well. It looks so frightening on TV, I can't imagine what it was like to be there. I am safe now but have spent the last 8 hours driving a rental car home from out of state. Stranded by the cancelled flights. Tired but feeling pretty fortunate.
