Please keep tonight's one gendered dancing here to a minimum, while we figure out who's dancing tonight, and how awful the music will be this year..........

Okay, maybe all 13 will be dancing tonight...... they gotta do 2 dances this week! Two will be eliminated! (On Wednesday, I think)

to Vince3,

When I clicked on what I think was your answer to my question about "one gender," I got the message on my screen that "this page is too big to be shown completely." That's the message that I get for all long, (over 75 posts), threads. Would it be possible to break up long threads into two smaller threads or am I out of luck?

I hope this post appears close to the top of this thread. If it appears at the bottom, I won't be able to see your response.

"RE: DWTS#7, Episode 1, ECST"
Posted by vince3 on 09-23-08 at 11:34 AM
Outside of hitting either the original title, then the possible post, I have no idea what is going on with your computer. Sounds like something for the Help forum.

What I said below?

Stoopid me thought it was either gonna be an all male or all female (star) night, and then Tuesday would be the other gender's night and then Wednesday would be elimination. I didn't think they'd have all 13 dance tonight, eliminate someone, then have the remaining 12 dance Tuesday, and then eliminate someone on Wednesday. I didn't look at any spoiler sites for any hints that production was gonna do something like this week's schedule........

"RE: Cody and Julianne"

Well they've got the cuteness factor, will need to see more content in the dances if they are going to last.

"RE: Cody and Julianne"
Posted by vince3 on 09-22-08 at 08:09 PM
Scores: 6-6-6 for a total of 18

Lowest combined score tonight is eliminated before tomorrow's dance.

(Tomorrow is Quickstep for these two)

"RE: Cody and Julianne"

And here we go......

Young, young, young. Great energy.

Can I just say that the music sampled Curtis Mayfield's "Pusher Man" from Superfly - a '70s film. I giggled at the prospect.

"Rocco and Karina"
Posted by vince3 on 09-22-08 at 08:13 PM
Karina got injured this morning, twisting her ankle...... Rocco's from The Restaurant, remember?

He...... needs lots of help dancing.....

Wow. Not really a fan of Rocco or Karina.

I give them "props" for the effort. They both are really driven to achieve perfection. I kinda want them to hang around so that I can snark them endlessly.

"Toni and Alec"

Can she unbreak the hearts of the judges...... he was the first-season winner........

She has some kind of Angina that just got diagnosed....... hoo boy......

Dancing the Cha Cha Cha to "Smooth" by Carlos Santana (not singing tonight, owie!)

"RE: Toni and Alec"
Posted by Snidget on 09-22-08 at 08:23 PM
Ye Gawds that was painful, and that was just the freaking music.

She was looking much better in the rehearsal footage, but it seemed a bit off on the dance floor, like she was really scared.

He's of the "fire extinguisher for his shoes at the finish line" stunt after winning a race. She's the seasons 2-3 winner.

Flat direction speed hasn't translated well, yet.......

Dancing the Fox Trot to "Gonna Have a Funky Good Time"?

"RE: Brooke and Derrick"

Love, love, love Brooke Burke from Rock Star.
Her strength is that she seems to do exactly what Derek tells her to do. That will take her far in this competition.

OK, she has FOUR kids, the last one she popped was in March of 2008? I.HATE.HER.

Were her kids like 5 oz each at birth? Maybe she hired a surrogate. BAH! A pox on her I say!

Derrik's GF from last season, Shannon Elizabeth is in the audience. Not looking so happy, either....oh well. Some have it, some don't. BUT, she has Derrik, and I don't think Brooke is interested...

"RE: Ted and Inna"

I would have scored him higher than Cody or Maurice. Song totally sucked bobo.

"RE: Ted and Inna"
Posted by observer on 09-23-08 at 01:03 AM
Inna kept her head tipped too far back, which was annoying. But I guess the judge can't criticize a professional dancer.

"RE: Ted and Inna"
Posted by mindy23 on 09-23-08 at 09:38 AM
Maybe Ted had bad breath?? LOL. I thought they were better than an '18' for sure! He was very sophisticated, and I could swear he's had some lessons/experience. Hey, wasn't he on the "Love Boat"???

"RE: Lance and Lacey"

OK, not a fan of Lacey, see the SYTYCD thread. Again, looking for snark value here.

"RE: Lance and Lacey"
Posted by observer on 09-23-08 at 00:51 AM
Lance Bass is a natural dancer. But Len didn't like his dancing because Lance doesn't follow the official ballroom dancing rules.

Lance's dancing is entertaining: I hope he stays as long as possible. I want to be entertained.

"RE: Lance and Lacey"
Posted by mindy23 on 09-23-08 at 09:41 AM
Did anyone else NOT see the lift during their dance?? I was TOTALLY shocked that the judges didn't see it, and thought that Len, especially was going to say something.

But, clearly, Carrie Ann and Bruno are enamamored of this couple.

Lacey wants to marry Lance, but he's not into women, she just can't say so on national TV. Don't know why not, after what Cloris did, except it wouldn't be nice to Lance, right??

Overall, thought they were decent.

Oh my heavens! "Phyllis", "Frau Blucher" ... the list goes on. One of the greatest comedic actresses EVER. Again, not a fan, for very good reason. Mr. Ballas was wonderful, excellent.

Great job. Hope she goes home this week. The only reason to keep her is Mr. Ballas.

"RE: Cloris and Corky"
Posted by mindy23 on 09-23-08 at 09:44 AM
Not a fan, either. Please send her home before she hurts someone, or herself! All the bleeps are distrating-I felt I was watching Gordon Ramsey on the dance floor, only not as funny as everyone seems to think. Even the audience and Tom were growing weary.

Not an age problem at all-a personality problem. And there were moments, I think she wasn't quite sure where she was. How much is Mr. Ballas getting to do this??

"Two injuries already?"

Well there isn't one ringer this season and most of them have some potential to improve which is always fun to watch. But overall it was kind of meh.
