I have read several articles here and there about Fantasia and a book about her life. Here is one article from MSN

I am glad that her Idol Fame has made such a huge difference in her life.
I can't imagine how difficult it must be to cover up, to have to fake, being able to read.
I admire her courage, to be so honest about it.
I wasn't a fan when she was on Idol, I didn't like her voice, but Good For Her!
I wish her success.
>I can't stand (Fanghetto) she is
>a poor representation for black
>woman. I can't believe she
>is broadcast as and american
>idol. The chick can't read
>or write and she has
>a bastard child, what's next
>american idol. Please can we
>get some true talent winners
>and singers with self-respect.
Fantasia seems like a perfect example of talent and self-respect. The more obstacles she has had to overcome, the more heroic she appears. She seems very impressive for a young woman just barely out of her teens. As for her reading disabilities, the teachers should have noticed that very early in her school enrollment. Some people have been able to sue the school system for that kind of neglect. She is being very gracious not to do so. What a positive role model she continues to be. Everyone can look up to her, and her daughter must be especially proud of her young, accomplished mother.
