LAST EDITED ON 01-28-03 AT 07:50 AM (EST)

This is the funniest, most caustically sarcastic show that I've seen on TV in a long time! I was absolutely loving it last night (Jan 27th).

First was the slurpee incident, worthy of its own thresd on this board. But I was laughing hard at Zora's "Disney movie" date, showing all the animals in the forest and Zora petting the horses. Just they way they presented that had me rolling.

Then watching the other cats, er... girls crashing the jaccuzi party, and Zora leaving in frustration, was just sooo this show, if you know what I mean.

Poor Melissa. She was sooo screwed over on her date. Ladies, allow me to reassure you that if and when I cook dinner for you, it will be far better than that trash that Evan cooked! I'm really surprised that Melissa hasn't figured Evan out yet.

And MoJo, with her family pictures and check to herself... that's the strategy, pressure Evan with hints of family and money! Worked perfectly too, n'est pas?

This is truly more fun than we DAWs should be allowed to have...

...ALL the fun and excitement...

It's a pity we'll never have this kind of show again with the surprise factor of a $50 million man who isn't one. I agree, yesterday's show was a real doozy and they've done a good job with the editing to make it come out funny (even if the editing is sorely lacking in other areas).

I wonder, though, how they'll fill the time when they get down to the final two.

Never fear, Pepe. I'm sure there will be many more "mmmmm"s, "slurps", and "smacks" to fill the time.

Mon- who was very happy to see MoJo go bye bye last night.

OK, the disney stuff was too funny. The girls coming home was too funny. Smile girl is becoming a gigantic princess, My opinion of her is dropping faster than the DOW. MoJo is crazy, she must be out of her mind. How desperate was that puzzle thing. And it work sooooooo well did it not. Yeah thats the way to do it. Talk about commitment and family, etc. However crazy her strategy was, I don't think she is a bad person at all. In fact, I may like her as a person more than some of the others.

Did anyone else get the following impressions last night:

1) Fox has re-edited/edited the show based upon what the talk around the country/online talk. I mean, we have chatted up the disney crap and the cheesyness of it all, then bam we get that disney stuff last night.

2) Paul has something to do with the girls coming home early? I seems strange they just show up unexpected? Would Paul not have know, via the camera crew/staff with the girls that they were on their way back? I am convinced he had a hand in that.

3) Mellisa "Smiley" is really a giant Princess, High Maintence, Biotch, IMO. Tell me if I am wrong. But between her performance on the date, and that horrible purple velour top she was wearing at the end, I was like ewwwwwww, dump that one.

Anyone else agree, think I am crazy? You would not be the first.

Agreed, but only to a point. I think a lot of that they already had planned... they had to take the animal shots at the time (or at some time, and I don't think a few days is enough time), so they were already planning something.

2) Paul has something to do with the girls coming home early? I seems strange they just show up unexpected? Would Paul not have know, via the camera crew/staff with the girls that they were on their way back? I am convinced he had a hand in that.

It absolutely was staged. Of course, it's been my contention that just about this whole show is staged. And plenty of available alcohol is helping a lot.

3) Mellisa "Smiley" is really a giant Princess, High Maintence, Biotch, IMO. Tell me if I am wrong. But between her performance on the date, and that horrible purple velour top she was wearing at the end, I was like ewwwwwww, dump that one.

Agree again, to a point. That purple top did NOT go well with rubies, and I thought for a second she'd be eliminated because of that. I do think Melissa is being edited as a princess, and they really screwed her over on the home-cooking date, probably to heighten that image. In fact, if this wasn't a TV show, I'm sure she'd have let Evan know what she thought of that whole date... but it's a TV show, so she grins and bears it...

As to you being crazy? Not for these things, but for other things I couldn't say. (just kidding!)

Funny Funny Funny!
I think little bucktoothed Melissa showed herself. What a ditz, and more of a Golddigger then we first thought.

And Mojo!?? That "gift" killed me. She admitted she made it before she even met Evan. The funniest part is that she just can't imagine that any man doesn't want her. She keeps talking thinking the more he knows about HER, the more he will want HER. LOL! Am I the only one who thinks her glitter eyeshadow is horrible?

The hot tub crashing was rude, but very funny.

This just gets more entertaining as it goes on.

Mojo should leave the glitter behind next time (if she's lucky) that she's on TV. I might find it acceptable every once in a while for club-hopping 19-year-olds, but daily wear is absolutely out of the question! The girl needs a complete overhaul into the 21st century.

Just goes to show what happens when the producers don't take their material too seriously. This is the second time in a week that a Fox show has used a musical montage so well - American Idol's changing seasons during an excrutiatingly long song is right up there too.

The producers know that this is all pretend, and they're willing to have some fun with it. Some of the other reality shows *coughSurvivorcough* take themselves so seriously, like it's some world-changing event, but the producers of JM remember that the show is just there to entertain.

I haven't had this much fun with a cheap Monday night TV pleasure since Melrose Place.

And how! Fox certainly doesn't take itself too seriously. Each episode of this show gets more and more ridiculous and hysterical. I am beginning to think it was 1) either planned as a farce and reality show send-up from the beginning or 2) after realizing what a crappy show they had (with the supposed unhappy ending), they re-edited and re-mixed the thing to pretend it was a farce. Either way is ok with me. Too much fun!

I love this show. Too bad it can never be done again the same way. But they could always alter it. Maybe have 2 bachelors next time and tell the women one is wealthy and one is poor. But don't tell the women which is which. Then have the 2 men date and pick from the women. The women would be so busy trying to figure out which one is rich it could be hilarious. If they pick the wrong man to stay with they could be throwing away millions.

What a great idea, Loree. That would be a crackup! Especially if they edited it tongue-in-cheek like they have this show.

This and amazing Race are the only reality shows I can get my hubby to watch with me. TAR because of all the adventure, JM because it is sooooo dang funny! I'm having a blast watching this and I can't wait to see the reactions when the girls find out the truth.

Q-you're right, smilie Mellissa is quickly showing what a true princess she really is. Zora is the only one worth anything, but I think she's way too good for Evan. It's quite obvious from his facial expressions which part of his anatomy he uses to think with where women are concerned.

I agree...I think Zora is the only one worth her salt on the show.....I guess it just depends on how much ...emm..er...pride the other two are willing to "swallow" to stay alive!!

The other idea I had is to have a REVERSE premise: the guy or gal really is a multi-buckeroo person and they are presented as making average or less-than-average income. Now that would be amusing to see the same kind of backward snobbery. I do like your idea, Loree, to have the one wealthy, one not. Any one of these scenerios would be great for laughs...

So, tell me Melissa M., what would you do if you had 50 million dollars?

Well, Evan, I'd go to a third world country and bathe their children and give them shots. I don't know if others would do that but that's the kind of person I am. You know, a mercenary.

Melissa M. - the bathing assasin.

For real, Bathing children, then giving shots. So you would end up with clean, immunized children with no food or shelter, LOL. That comment was way over the top.

Translation: I would spend the 50 million on myself, buy cars, homes, jewels, clothes, and oh yes, I would sponser one of Sally Struthers Kids.

I just can't stand her anymore.

I just love Melissa's confessionals.
She is so bitchy and sarcastic and I love it.

Would somebody please buy her a word-a-day calendar?! The girl needs to learn the definitions of the English language's 3+ syllable words. Melissa, honey, you want to be a philanthropist, not a mercenary. If you didn't drink and smoke so much, I would think you'd want to be a missionary, not a mercenary.

Bathe the children, give them shots. So, she likes to scald and impale kids? Niiiiice.
