Or maybe a twist....Final 3?

I noticed Snewser has 14 Episodes.

CBS has 13 slots here:

If 14 episodes I can see the finale being 5 people. would they dare make it the final 3?

How does this season get on track?

Is the recrap episode gone?

Not sure about the rest, but I have yet to see or hear any spoilers or even speculation involving a recrap.

It's not certain how many episodes there will be. I wouldn't count on what the CBS website is currently displaying.

Sleeeve's SOTS schedule is allowing for the possibility of 16 episodes -- which would accommodate an F4 finale, one recrap, and 14 episodes with one boot (or departure) each.

But we'll see what happens when Jenna leaves; maybe someone gets voted out in the same episode.

I've been speculating on the Final Three idea......it would also provide a solution to the possible all-player jury, which would make much more sense if they had three people to choose from.

What's up with the info that the finale is going to be in NYC? During each episode they're touting the Subway contest to win tickets to the finale in LA. Weird.

SNN has learned from a source close to CBS that the Survivor All-Stars finale will air live from New York's Madison Square Garden. The expected date is Sunday, May 9. The decision was supposedly made very recently, so info is still sketchy. More later as we find out...

Here's my speculation... for what it's worth.

I think the schedule is almost perfect, but I can see that this would easily require 16 episodes.

We usually have 14, which includes 12 eps, a recrap, and a final 4 episode.

With S7, we didn't have the recrap, which even EPM says he hates. We didn't have the recrap because of the Shawn/Osten boot and the Lil/Burton return, but we still have 14 eps.

I think that the math tells us that if you add 2 more players, then you need 2 more episodes for the bootees. Now, this also leaves room for a recrap or some other strange mutation should EPM decide to throw a twist in such as a return of booted players or having a final 5 or more. But we definitely get 16 times this season to watch my favorite show on television!

Since Ep 4's TC was on Day 12, there was no adjustment to the game schedule due to Jenna's departure. So it looks to me like this it how the 39 day schedule will go:

Day 3 -- Tina booted
Day 6 -- Rudy booted
Day 8 -- Jenna leaves
Day 12 -- Rob C booted
Day 15 -- Boot 5
Day 18 -- Boot 6
Day 21 -- Boot 7
Day 24 -- Boot 8
--Merge into one tribe (TC's every 2 days from hereon)--
Day 26 -- Boot 9
Day 28 -- Boot 10 (first juror)
Day 30 -- Boot 11
Day 32 -- Boot 12
Day 34 -- Boot 13
Day 36 -- Boot 14
Day 37 -- Boot 15
Day 38 -- Boot 16
Day 39 -- Final 2 jury vote

Well, we have ten players left. If we can assume the final 5 goes down as usual...

Day 36 -- Boot 14
Day 37 -- Boot 15
Day 38 -- Boot 16
Day 39 -- Final 2 jury vote

...then we're left with 14 days to boot 5 players. That would allow for four 3-day episodes and one 2-day episode. Maybe?

OK....Now we know we have a recrap....

So how do we get back on track?

Snewser's schedule that you posted above still looks accurate even if you shift the recrap. There should be a Final 4 finale, with no multiple boots before then.

ughhh..... I started backwards.....as in the final 2 show rather than a final 4 show. I guess we are in line - unless they recrap against friends.
