"INTERVIEW with LoudmouthLee"

Posted by MakeItStop on 11-07-01 at 06:47 PM
LoudmouthLee's "Car" time

Good evening everyone. Today we are with LoudmouthLee, someone who's been a member of our community for awhile and has recently returned. I also believe that Lee is one of our youngest members at age 21. I think Survivorerist is the youngest member, but I'm not sure since no one has told me how old/young he is. Welcome Lee. Why did you want to be interviewed here in your car?

Why in my car? That's really easy. I work as a marketer. I spend, no joke, 6-8 hours a day driving a "company" car, and when I return, I normally drive to get around. Drive, Drive, Drive... that's all I ever do... oh yeah, and market sometimes. I love my car, though. You have probably heard me make mention to my Mustang at least 100 times... so you may as well

Lee you were one of the first few hundred posters here at SB. Tell us how you found this place.

Actually, when Island Heat was removed from SS, where I was a poster, I kinda missed his witty summaries. I found out through GatorMeat (where is he?) that he was posting on here... I decided to broaden my horizons and started posting here, too It was a wonderful choice... SS was full of buttheads.

You're a self-proclaimed loud mouth, so I guess we don't have to ask you how you came up with your screen name. You started on spoilers and you like to start the Character Development threads. Tell us how you got interested in character development.

Ahh, the infamous question. I am very good at psychoanyalizing people... It's seriously what I do best. I look at the way someone portrays themselves, as well as the way someone who is doing their job to creat a TV show would. Basically, everything must have somewhat of a Hollywood type ending, that leaves the viewer satisified, as well as getting the point across. That is why, if you look at character development, by the end of the show, you should be VERY familiar with the character that wins, whether or not you initally wanted them to.

Anyway.. I'm a mind reader... so it helps in that aspect too

Can you tell what I'm thinking right now? <snicker>
Tell us the story that AyaK was referring to when you were a summer intern during S1 -- the one where you were the subject of an interview.

Ahhh... I was an intern in the Operation Risk department of Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. I basically programmed and helped facilitate accounts that were multi-million dollar writeoffs within the company, and found the person responsible for them... I basically had the FBI on speed dial. When I had downtime, I posted a LOT from work, and then, one day, I got an email from a local NYC newspaper who wrote a story about SS... they wanted to feature me. I agreed, as long as they gave credit to everyone who was posting, not just myself. They kinda made "MarryMeDirk" to look like a groupie

I know you just graduated from college, and that you plan on getting your Masters and then a doctorate. Tell us what your degree is in, what you're studying now, and what you plan on doing with your doctorate.

I want to teach on the collegiate level. I am going for my Masters in Mathematical Education, and want to get my PhD in that as well... Dontcha think I would make a wonderful teacher? (flashes a million dollar smile)

Of course dear. <snicker> I also know that you are working full time while attending school. Tell us a bit about your marketing job.

Ugh... I work as a marketer for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Basically, I drive around all day and solicit the business to perspective customers, which tend to be other businesses. Its tedious and terrible. I really don't enjoy it all that much, however, it puts food on the table, and most of all, money in the pocket. I've been up and down the eastern seaboard because of the job.

Lee, you're in a long distance relationship and you just got engaged to your girl friend Jenny. Tell us how you met and when you think you might get married.

Oh wow... not until we both have money to our name and a house is in the works. We don't want to be immature and rush into it... How did we meet? We'll leave that one up for the imagination... Lets just say, the lord works in very, very mysterious ways, and you never know why or when you'll meet someone who will forever change your life.

Are you sure you don't want to tell us how you met Jenny?

Okay, fine... I met Jenny... over the internet (gasp)... (giggles profusely) Yeah... its ALWAYS possible... never forget that the impossible could happen...

Does Jenny mind that you recently got cyber-married to Tinkerbell?

She does not mind at all. Just a little note... as you all know (or should know) Tinkerbell is one of the most amazing people I have EVER met before. She is truly amazing, caring and sweet. I could not sum up in a paragraph about how she is... Everyone should meet tinkie, and look for someone that is incredibly like her... Its not every day someone leaves that big of a mark on me... She totally made me sit down and wonder... where have all the nice people been hiding?

You seem to have a healthy ego. You've claimed to be "a plethora of useless knowledge", you've offered to "prance around", and you've proven yourself to be a true DAW by posting an almost life-size picture of yourself. <snicker> Would you care to comment?

Healthy? Actually, in real life, I'm incredibly modest about myself. I am a true DAW. However, it's somewhat of a persona. I do like the attention (a la why I'm doing the interview ) but... as I know many people would contest to... I'm incredibly down to earth when push comes to shove. As for the lifesize picture... who wouldn't wanna look at me? )

We know that you're interested in trivia, and that you think "football is life". Do you have any other hobbies?

I am actually a "professional bowler" (STOP LAUGHING!)... with a current average of 210. I am also a game show freak, having, by the tender age of 21, been on 3. Wait... I guess I truly am an attention whore. I am an avid reader, sport watcher and player, and if you can't find me at home or at work... I'm at the gym.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us?

It's good to be back... I miss and love you all I hope you all consider me a friend of yours, because, in truth of the matter, I counsider all of you MY friends. In which I would do absolutely anything for. I would also like to thank the OT board members... all of you who have made me laugh, cry, and feel human again.. even after leaving a lot of my friends. Thank you all so very much for making me smile.

You know, with the way you talk with all those ellipses, I would have thought you were a poster on another site we know. I'd like to thank our guest, LoudmouthLee, for taking the time to do this interview. And, I'd like to say welcome back to SurvivorBlows.

Hi Lee!
You're surely a fellow DAW and yet I learned a lot of new stuff about you. That MIS, she asks great questions.
I'm glad you came back and loved this interview.
Just one question, where's our Character Development on Spoilers?
All we have are twists galore. You are right, characters and narrative are the ultimate keys to the outcome.
So please take a little time from your frivolous rollicking on OT and share your psychoanalyzing on Spoilers (but not OF the Spoilers, please, we're a pretty TWISTED crew).

Great to get to know more of you, LMLee! You've made quite an impression on all of us in the short time you've been back and I look forward to interacting with yourself more and more, and hope that you will definitely stay instead of taking another hiatus...

The question that I'm sure others are thinking as well... do you have a damn computer installed into your car? Seems like you do a fair amount of posting and getting to know Jenny despite being in your car all the time going up and down the eastern seaboard!

Conga-rats once again on the engagement to Jenny and good luck with the planning over the next few months (years?) once you do decide on a date. If you ever need some advice... I just got married 4 months ago!

We ought to hook up on trivia one of these days... I'm a big trivia buff too, and I keep missing out on one of your trivia threads as my schedule the past few weeks has been absolutely insane. Some of my projects and teaching stuff have now been done so my schedule has opened up quite considerably... so I'll definitely watch for some more of your trivia thresds!

Oh yeah... and I'm gonna kick your ass in the NFL pool (along with True and several others) now that you've got the target sign firmly planted onto your back.

LOL--Lee, I had to come because you were kind enough to come to my party. . . but really, a CAR? It's already too crowded in here! And I have a bad knee--if I can't ride shotgun, I'm outta here. . .

Seriously, you have become such a pathetic ho' that you seem to have abandoned the whole Survivor racket--WTF? Get your arse back over to Spoilers and help try to make sense of everything that's NOT happening this week! (Damn that Burn-it--he's taken a cue from IceCat's "t" thread and given us NOTHING to work with!)

GT

(Isn't that MIS a masochist? She's barely cleaned up from the last mess, and already working on 20 more of these! Hmmm. . . Martha not big enough? is she working her way up to Oprah status? More power to you, dearie. )

I think Survivorerist is the youngest member, but I'm not sure since no one has told me how old/young he is.

People, what does a girl have to do around here to get an answer?! Will someone please tell me how old Surv is?

Thats Surv's secret and he will never tell. No one knows, although I think it is safe to say, we all want to know.

Another great interview MIS, and its nice getting to know you better LML

That he IS on his high school's Reach for the Top team and that he hopes that he will get a chance to be on TV. Surv is probably in the range of ages from about 17.5 to 19 years old. I'm guessing 18 years old.

Edited to Add:

The following is an excerpt from the Reach for the Top eligibility guidelines:

1 - Any student who is 19 or under at the beginning of the school year and has been continuously enrolled in a Secondary School is eligible to play both SCHOOLREACH and REACH FOR THE TOP.

That means that Sir Erist was less than 19 as of the first week of September, 2001.

I heard from a friend, that knows a friend, who heard from his friend, that has a brother who's a bum across the street that Surv's 17 years old.

Based on LML's character development... I'm guessing Surv will vote us all out before he tells us how old he is.

Wonderful Interview MIS.

It must be fun to interview a poster who has so much to say.
LOL. I'm just basing this on the fact that in the past 5 pages of Off Topics, going back to Oct.24, 200l....LoudMouthLee has started no less than EIGHTEEN THREADS of his own.

WOW and when does he find the time? College, a job a girlfriend? I'm in awe!! I can't even find time to read 18 threads on OT much less start them!!!

Lee, first let me say that I'm very glad you're back here with us. The number of spoilers posters still remaining from Survivor 1 has dropped precipitously! gatormeatisyummy started a new board last year called Voted Off!, then got into a big fight with RudyReigns (who now uses snewser as his main posting ID, since he started SurvivorNews.net) after S2 and ended up quitting -- I don't know where he has been so far during S2. Aja and ferretkiss are basically inactive, and MarryMeDirk is only slightly active. Wyvern quit spoiling after S1. DogStalker gave it up during S2. There isn't much left from the old SS gang.

You've definitely come back with a splash, though. Thanks for sharing so much with us in this interview, and best wishes for bigger and better things.

And ... 210? Not bad at all. I never managed to end a season above 192, and generally I had to settle for the high 180s (before I gave it up completely). But the best bowler I ever competed against (who ended one season with the unbelievable (to me) average of 238, and bowled a 300 game against my team in league play TWICE in the same season) gave it a shot on the pro tour but couldn't handle all the travel involved for so little money; he's still active, though, and competed on the team that won the Ohio State Team Championship this past year (both scratch and handicap ... although I see his average has "plummeted" to 220):

I, for one, am beside myself with joy that you're here *grin* I'd ask you to go bowling sometime, but I SUCK at bowling. I once bowled a 19 game.

And if you can read minds....quick! What am I thinking right now?
