"Like Hollywood isn't already full!"

Of young good looking attention whores.
I mean do these people really think that they are more special than anyone else with a dream? I grew up in L.A. Everyone had a dream of fame.
I feel so sorry for them, they'll be labeled as 'reality talent' forever.
It's not like they are going to get a Movie audition out of this. They'd be better off taking acting classes and going out on real auditions, than doing the reality show thing.

I can see their dreams dying.

Does anyone really think that Jase and Scott and Holly went on this show to be on Big Brother?
No way. They want to think they will someday be in a movie, or get a sitcom deal. But who wants them now that they were on BB?

They are posing for the cameras. They think this is their big break. *Laugh*
People with real talent don't end up on BB.

How many Big movie stars started out on reality shows?

Duh! Like, don't you remember Colleen from Survivor? She was totally in that one movie that no one remembers because it wasn't that great. Oh, my heck!

...yeah. Oh, and she was in a chapstick commercial.

I'm afraid my brain hurts trying to fathom even the most REMOTE possibility of Holly having any "serious" acting talent. I see her in some bad, bad porno.
Maybe.
If she didn't talk.

snark, snark...yep, and that laugh of hers would kill any audio except the "boom, chica chick ahhhh, boom boom boom, chicka chick boom."
Not that I would know (I said keep that light on my RIGHT cheek!)

Not only are they not on this to win BB, but I'd say almost all the reality shows have "aspiring actors" as opposed to regular people looking for 'love' or looking to win money. Real people go to bars, and/or play the lottery,(for a quick fix)not to reality shows. Most of these people go to casting calls directed by their agents. I agree with you buggy, they will always be known as 'reality talent' and not serious actors.

I almost feel sorry for them.

AArgh! More young dreams shattered. As much as we need more waiters here in LA, I doubt that these people are even able to handle "would you like fries with that?". BTW, "Santa Monica Van Boys"! I grew up in the Peoples Republic of Santa Monica, please stay away, you are embarassing us.

>Well, just wanted to point out, Jerri from survivor outback, and allstar survivor has went on to have a humbling career as the co-host of Extreme Dodgeball on the gameshow network. Now I think we know what she owes her "stardom" too. *laughing*

The only thing a reality show can guarentee you is a Playboy spread.

Oh, but they're different Buggy. They're cool, they're hip, they're the 4H. They are better than anyone else before them, and will be better than anyone that comes after them.

Wait.

Bwahahahahahahahahah! I almost got that out without laughing.

I know it is in bad form to bump your own post, but in light of Jase admitting that he is only there for the acting exposure, seems appropriate to me.

We all know he is only there for the TV time. They even talk about what makes good TV.

Your opinion?
Is Jase gonna be a Big Star? Is there a future for him in acting?

This is in no way supposed to be a compliment to him but, for some reason Jase has reminded me of Kevin Bacon from day 1. I have no idea what it is exactly but there it is. Maybe the crows feet? I dunno. Anyways, Is he gonna be a big star? You mean bigger than he is now? Ummmmm....no. (IMHO)

*but what do I know?*

Absolutely, Buggy. Acting like a DINK!

Maybe as a big "Adult entertainment video" star... I can see it now "Kling and Klang do Holly-wood"

One day I'm gonna own a big sports bar!

The thing that has ruined Jase's chance in Hollywood the most (okay, second most, BB being the most) is that everyone hates him. Generally when an actor stars in a TV show or movie, they have a pretty good fan base, which support the ratings. Therefore, since Jase has no fans, who would put him on the screen?

And I also must remind everyone (and I'm really not being sarcastic) that Elisabeth Filarski Hasselbeck has done quite well for herself. Co-anchor of the View is relatively classy compared to what some of these DAWs are looking for.

point taken, but how could you not love Elisabeth. That backs up the lack of fan base for Jase point. (what a poet...boy!)

Elisabeth is a good example of someone who took their reality popularity to a career in media. But I don't think she went on Survivor to try to be a star, and I think that is where part of the difference is. Colby too.
They were offered other oppurtunities because they were well liked on the show. Some cast memebers get jobs behind the scenes and work in production.

These people who go on reality shows talking about face time and this being their big break into startdom , people who think that they are going to walk off the set and be offered starring roles in sitcoms are delusional. These folks get Agents before they ever apply for these shows. I think if they really have talent that they'll be noticed, before or after, but thinking that a run on BB is their shot, is just silly.

Jase isn't even there to play the game, neither was Holly. They are all about acting outrageous to get noticed. And the thing is, now BB is on their resume, and a casting director may look at them and say, "Oh they are already known by the public, and they aren't liked." Jase will never again go to an audition without being 'that guy from BB'.

I think people should apply for a reality show with the intent of being on the reality show, not with their eyes looking towards something else. It ruins the show for the viewers and in most cases isn't going to further their career.

i read somewhere that now jase wants to be voted out this week because then he won't be sequestered and lose all the "hollywood" gigs he expects as he walks out the door.

can you imagine the ego this guy has???

he is afraid to lose the time limit.
whatever.

That's one smart boy, yassuh. Always willing to help, I agree with him. Yes God, I DO! Get frick'n blondie off my tv. Please let him descend with his scary powers upon the talentless hordes of Hollywood.
Yea, he will wow them with the cleverness, wit and honesty that can truly be called "his own".
I hope to be among the first to point out the Holy "Santa Monica Van Boys" instrument of divine transportation (no doubt, eating and sleeping, too). Verily, I will point it out to every Parking Enforcement Officer, Policeman, and Vice Squad Detective all the days of my life.

I am wondering where Marvin came up with that name. Maybe he meant the boys would be sleeping in a VAN down by the water!

( at first I thought maybe he was referring to Vans shoes, but that is the So. Cal in me coming out)

Your eyes must have just peered farther into the future. Wait, now I see it too, as the Apocalypse turns on its' formerly Most Favored:
Four mismatched pairs of the holiest of holy Vans, no doubt liberated from the Goodwill dumpster. Waves under the Santa Monica Pier, and the Miraculous bottle of life giving Ripple fought over in great friendly spirit. Ahh! From Brad Pitts body double to a beach Mime! So much cruelty in the acting world. *sadness*

-and no, I wouldn't wish that on anyone. With little talent and such an ego, it sure is a possibility.
