"CA#4 Casting Spoilers"

Posted by Snidget on 10-12-11 at 07:35 PM
Info starting to swirl around. People Magazine has a report. So assuming anyone else cares to bother lets put the casting spoilers here.

That should be enough verbage to get this past the front page space thingy.

Clay Aiken??
Debbie Gibson--well at least she seemed to have good business sense for a teenager.

And Teresa Giudice from The Real Housewives of New Jersey. She's going to make lunch out of Clay and Debbie, probably literally.

Clay Aiken? That should be interesting! I loved Clay in his season of American Idol!

The punchline: this is all Donald has left. His political potential just about self-destructed (but he was helpful enough to push the button), his business savvy just cost him a casino, and his credibility is so far into negative numbers as to seek out a reverse version of pi: dropping forever without a repeat. He didn't even try to boast about all the people he could totally get (and never would) this year. Everyone's on to him, no one cares enough to see what the next lie is, and the best part about getting this scripted series back on the air is to find out what the White House will accomplish just to preempt it.

He's out of believers. But he'll never run out of low-level celebrities who think the script will be all about them -- and as such, Wikipedia would like to register the following additional rumors.

Marco Andretti
Adam Carolla
Victoria Gotti
Aubrey O'Day
Cheryl Tiegs

Which pretty much identifies this year's theme. Which happens to be the same as last year's theme. 'Can we get an on-camera murder? Stay tuned!'

Y'do realize he's going to keep doing this until someone dies.

This year's theme/goal is clearly mass-murder.

Wikipedia's current list. Gaze upon it, then go get the Luminol.

Clay Aiken (singer)
Marco Andretti (race car driver)
Adam Carolla (comedian & podcast host, sexism specialist)
Tia Carrere (actress)
Lou Ferrigno (superhero, retired)
Debbie Gibson (singer)
Teresa Giudice (reality star)
Victoria Gotti (reality star with no other allegations proven)
Arsenio Hall (former late-night host)
Penn Jillette (skeptic)
Lisa Lampanelli (comedian, insult specialist)
Dayana Mendoza (pageant contestant)
Aubrey O'Day (singer)
Dee Snider (singer)
George Takei (actor)
Paul Teutul Sr. (motorcycle designer & professional jerk)
Cheryl Tiegs (model/actress)
Patricia Velásquez (model/actress)

These personalities are not going to get along. These personalities will not be able to enter the same room without setting it on fire.

Oddly, the one whose presence I question most here is Penn. His schedule is notorious: a show every night, six nights a week, and on the seventh he films Bull@#$%!, writes books, and debunks anyone preaching in the street outside his casino. Appearing on this would mean either a major use of his vacation time or cross-country flights on a level that would use up an entire oil field over one season. He has his charities and he's a hard worker -- I just don't know if he has the time for this. Or the inclination to put up with it.

On the other hand, as the one most likely to call 'This is a giant lie' on any given Donald statement, he at least gives me someone to root for. (And goes out first.)

Beyond that... Teutul is going to be the crap stirrer par nauseance for the males, and I expect Teresa and Victoria to take turns making the women miserable. With George, Clay and Lisa about, we can expect at least one major homophobe on each team to argue their existence and politics. Adam may be punched in the face: we can but hope. And Lou is there to be Donald's Victim Of The Week.

Cast To Lose? Cast To Kill. Anyone want to make a prediction on the body count?

For the females, I'll go with Tia as the voice actress of skill. (She's out second.)

I have to admit, that is pretty scary to recognize so many of those guys!

Clay Aiken and Marco Andretti, the son of Michael and grandson of Mario Andretti? Am I dreaming?

Before someone asks, I was a major fan of CART/IndyCar racing for quite awhile in my teens and twenties. What really got me into it was Mario and Michael Andretti. So I'm thrilled to see Marco in the cast!

Marco was in the race when Dan Wheldon died = Los Vegas track.

So, when are Apprentice episodes filmed? how far before they are shown?

Typical filming time? Right now. Most cast leaks come out when people see the minicorps operating in and around NYC. Wikipedia has the first post-editing results airing in March.

So if they're filming right now, Marco took time off for the race in Vegas?
wonder if the accident & death will be mentioned; how he handles going back to a reality tv show filming after that.

I can see Agman October 2011

So if they're filming right now, Marco took time off for the race in Vegas?

Possibly: depends on when the task was scheduled for that week. By and large, the celebrities don't seem to live on-site (although a few of them stay in the Tower) and it's not necessarily a continuous filming period. So he could have had that time off anyway -- but we've seen Donald basically say 'X will not be participating this week due to a previous engagement' a few times. If he didn't already have the time off -- or wasn't out of the running already -- he would have gotten it.

wonder if the accident & death will be mentioned; how he handles going back to a reality tv show filming after that.

It would depend on whether Donald could take five minutes to make the show about someone else.

...okay, more fairly: it's likely more about whether Marco is willing to speak about it on camera and how much any emotional impact affects his task performance. Which sadly may lead back to Donald As Giant Jerk. 'So you couldn't focus this week because a friend died. I fired two thousand people last month, making a third of them homeless, and I just went to work the next day and did it again. Get out of here, wimp.'

I don't know Marco as a person at all, but my very generic impression of his profession is that he'd be able to pick himself up and keep going after a lot of effort. As for what we'll get on the broadcast -- To Be Continued.

"Minor non-eliminated spoiler."

As of November 7th, per sighting, the following contestants had yet to be fired.

Penn
Clay
Paul Sr.
Teresa
Lou

This was from a group sighting in the lobby of an unidentified hotel, which means there's a chance we're looking at the men's minicorp with Teresa swapped in.

I do! I'm thrilled that Clay is part of the cast -- and even more that Michael Andretti is in the cast! When I was 14, he and his father, Mario, were the first drivers I really took an interest in! This will be an absolute treat for me! Clay and Michael in the same cast! Wow!
