Yes, that clip is very funny. The Morgans are such complete and total losers. However, its possible that TJ was talking about a subset of the Drakes (including Lill) who work all the time to try to curry favor with the tribe. That's what I think is more likely. Regardless, it was very funny.

I do!! I think MB decided to merge the tribes one episode before he really meant to because Morgan ran out of food and was too incompetant to find any on their own, and didn't want them to die. There wasn't even any discussion of where they were going to live -- JP just said, "guess you're going to Drake's camp".

I still can't figure out why Andrew, Tijuana, and Darrah NEVER EVER ONCE went out trying to get food (aside from the pathetic trek across the island for fish where they never even got wet). Did they just not show it? You're starving, complaining about lack of food, but don't go scavenging?? Find some lemons, dig up a root, eat a fern, cut up an iguana.... something. If they hadn't stolen the rice from Drake, they'd already be dead.

Back to the vidcaps: I can understand the women thinking about creating an alliance, but isn't it a bit early? Christa and Sandra already have a strong alliance of 3, and with Burton and Lillian, they would be certain of final 5 without them, with Lill and Burton being prime targets after that. Why would they consider bringing 2 Morgans into that and risk losing their advantage?? classic over-thinking, if you ask me.

Agree strongly, Acawap. The merged tribe is going to continue being psychologically separated along prior tribal lines for at least another week. RyanO, T and Darrah are going to be seen next week scrambling to gain a foothold with the powerful Drakes, but it's going to fail, and RyanO is going home unless he wins II, in which case T is going home.

Some comments about T. Pure speculation, mind you, but it's where I'm getting my "she could be next" vibe from. T is not the kind of woman who is interested in forging strong bonds with other women. She's a "princess" type who gains strength and self-confidence from relationships with men, whom she typically tries to enthral rather than actually befriend. She gravitated towards Andrew for his strength and looks because she is attracted to powerful men, and now that he is gone, she is vulnerable because she has failed to acknowledge the need for relationships, in this game, outside of the one you forge with the first person who appears best placed to further one's own ambitions.

The clash of egos will be between Sandra and T, not any of the menfolk, this time around. Going back to the first episode, we were shown a stark contrast between the capabilities and attitudes of Sandra and T at the market, where Sandra worked with the locals while T verbally assaulted them. I think that foreshadows a showdown between Sandra and T in the near future.

It also shocked me to hear T's remark considering how far the work ethics got the Drake tribe. However, they were eating mussels, so I guess someone did food gathering.

This is the first show where I dislike the underdogs. Loved Drake from the start, with the exception of Jon. It burns me that he's still there.

I hope Burton doesn't sell out to Jon.

P.S. I was touched by Burton giving Rupert the IC sword (kool in itself). love the pirate theme. Harty har har!

On TES Andrew said their lagoon just didn't have the fish supply that the one at Drake had. He said even Rupert could not catch that many fish when he was there compared to at Drake. And Andrew said it annoyed him that they never showed how much time their tribe did spend gathering mussels and crabs and other food. According to Andrew the editing wanted us to think they were not looking for food.

hmmm... sure sounds like they're pointing towards a Rupert boot. Would be in line with the 'Ruperts wife' spoilers, but would be yet another fatal mistake orchestrated by Burton (could be the Big Lie --HOPEFULLY we'll finally see it).

I agree with you don't want to bring him to the final 2 with you, but there are 9 people left, half of which are completely useless. Too soon, too soon. Stick with what got you there. If you don't, you bring the enemy back into the game.

In the first two pics (one post higher), four people watch as a challenge goes on? Are they now out of it? Is this the break others plates challenge? I see Rupert, Sandra, Darrah and RyanO. So are Jon, Lil, Christa and Burton still competing? Or is one of them aiming, while three are sitting down, having been eliminated?

sandra is really starting to put me on edge. in the vidcaps you can see that she is talking to Tijuana and Darrah and the outline of Tijuana's face looks possibly like she could be smiling (the way her left cheek is slightly pointed at the end). These vidcaps combined with the audio of "are you coming along?" and "what if we got rid of burton and kept the females around?" make me wonder.

what is sandra doing?? are her and christa jumping ship?? i get the impression that sandra really despises burton and maybe the new friendship(?) between rupert and burton ruffled her feathers. this does look like a plate breaking challenge as well. this oughta clear up the murk surrounding some people and their alliances (burton, lil, jon--are they actually IN an alliance with anyone, or just a quasi alliance like paschal and neleh were with tammy/rob/john/zoe??)

You'd think competitors would have learned by now that shattering the plate of the person you're planning to vote out next is a bad, bad, bad move. All it does is galvanize the isolated player(s) to find an alliance of their own, and thereby defeat the arrogant plate smashers.

I really hope the dominant players are smart enough to work with that knowledge this time. It drives me nuts every time they "sit down" their least preferred people first because it's just such a stupid, stupid thing to do in a game of strategic alliances.

Does this mean that they didn't get to bring the shower equipment and shampoo. What about the rain coats?

Goodness their editing sucks this year. They probably discussed this just didn't let us know.

From this I'd say that only ryan and lil are trying to fit in with the Drake crowd. Too bad for Ryan, it just doesn't work out.

Not that it means anything, but I don't see Jonny Fairplay's name on the Balboa flag. Is it above the Balboa logo up top?

Christa H-W = Hastie-Weydo. Aw, how cute. Or maybe it stands for Hastie-Wood, since she "married" a log on the island.
