"CSI - Las Vegas Thursday Episode"

I'm looking forward to this Thursday's episode when Quentin Tarantino directs. Looks like it's going to be a rough one to watch.

Are they really going to kill off Stabler?!

Who else is planning on watching?

Less than 5 hours and counting. I watch the other CSIs, but oh how I love the original. And I love, love Nick.

I don't think he's going to die. Maybe they're just leaving us hanging in case something happens again this year with his contract.

I plan on watching....but I fear the ending will be bad. I had heard he is out! He was my favorite on there....best eye candy! If they were going to kill someone they should have killed off Sonja Fox...she irritates me anyway! Let Nick to procreate!

<Sonja Fox...she irritates me anyway!

Me too - her character has too much of an edge for me. I wouldn't miss her.

<in case something happens again this year with his contract.

I didn't realize he was contesting his contract. Darn! I like the actor and the character.

I thought it was the guy that plays Grissom who was fussing about his contract.

I'm with you - CSI L.V. is my favorite.

Well something happened at the beginning of this season where both he and Jorja Fox were fired. And I thought it was a contract/money issue. Then they came back. I guess we'll see.

I should be watching now, but I'm waiting for dh. Oh well, at least no commercials.

Oops - I mean Stokes. Stabler is Law and Order SUV.

I like him too.

And I also think Warrick is pretty darn hot.

Wow! How much therapy would be needed after being in Nick's situation?? Answer for me: lifelong.
Unfortunately I missed what the girl did to land her in prison and set her Father on his vengeance.

From what I could tell, she was framed by her "boyfriend," who threw out a styrofaom cup with her DNA.

Unfortunately for me, I missed the last half hour of the show, so I was hoping to come here and find out if they reached Nick in the nick of time.

Somebody please post!

<if they reached Nick in the nick of time

Hi DearAbby. Oh yes, they did, but he was about to blow himself away after the ants started to bite. It was awful - they were going into his nose, mouth, and ears. ICK!

They finally reached him, only to realize the coffin was sitting on a bomb. If Nick were to get out, it would explode. So, they hoisted him out with a crane while dumping dirt into the coffin.

It exploded anyway. All were ok in the end.

Last scene showed Nick going to the girl's prison to tell her, "When you get out, don't take this bad experience with you." It took everything he had to face her and tell her that. My heart went out to him. Should provide an interesting story line next season.

She rebuffed him. The last scene showed her in her cell, with a small smile on her face. I guess she felt revenged.

I wonder if she'll be a recurring bad guy, even though it was her dad who perpetrated the crime.

Loved the show but while watching it seems like every other CIS/NIS show will have a very similar season ending show....what they have the same writers or just trying to save on writing expenses.

Yes, I'm worried about NCIS. I like all those characters.

I couldn't even take a chance flipping channels to see how the Pistons were doing, I was afraid I would flip back too late.

<I was afraid I would flip back too late

I thought I'd scream when they were digging the first time in the barn, and the scene flashed to the inside of Nick's coffin. It was as if he heard them. Then they hit that plexiglass...........and it was the darn dog!!!

Quentin Tarantino's mean streak was showing. He knows how to jerk an audience along into the scene.

Phew - just remembering hets me all up.

Agree, excellent episode. They really showcased Nick. Bet he gets nominated for an emmy.

<Bet he gets nominated for an emmy.

Yes, he played it realistically. I know I couldn't breathe here at home, just like Nick.

Do you ever worry about the creative minds that dream these story lines up? I'm not sure which is more frightening - knowing there are writers with that kind of sick streak, or knowing that there are real life ba$tards that inspire these CSI and Law and Order stories.

Off to lock all the doors.

Not when Quentin Tarrantino is involved. With him, I expect anything.

LOL! Is he married? I really know nothing about him, but I'm guessing he'd be a tad eccentric to live with.

"Hey, honey. Guess what? I've put the kids in the plexiglass playpen and buried them. They think they're treasure and I'm a pirate. Wanna play buccaneer? We've got a few minutes before their air runs out."

What an awesome, powerful episode!

I do have to admit that about a half hour into it, I was considering not watching. It was very disturbing to me. I'm glad I stuck it out.

Same here - I was having my own mini panic attack, especially when he was realizing exactly what had happened. I'm very claustrophobic.

It was intense, it was riviting, I was on the edge of my seat and I loved the episode, but...I don't want it to become the norm. I watch the show for the reveals, the ferreting out of what really happened. I hate the Miami one (would even if the troll was not on it)as they run about the community waving their guns and arresting criminals.

One thing though-I've never seen the autopsy guy having a bad relationship with Nick, so why would Nick picture him laughing over Nick's death? Of course the mind plays strange tricks, but wouldn't picturing the autopsy be more normal than the laughter scene? It just seems a little out of place, somehow.

that autopsy scene was pure Quentin Tarentino. I don't think he cared if it really "fit" into the relationship or not...he had to get at least a little "gore" into the episode.

Eads should get an award for his acting in this episode. And if he needs some therapy after doing it....I'd be more than happy to give him some free of charge. YUM!

A little gore? Bwahahaha!! Like the explosion wasn't enough? I found a thumb."

Eads really was good, wasn't he?

<so why would Nick picture him laughing over Nick's death

I don't think it had anything to do with Nick's relationship with the person himself. It had more to do with being autopsied by anybody. Nick's mind just used the only coroner her knew.

That was some nightmare, wasn't it? The cold, impersonal nature of the autopsy was horrific.

Poor Nick. I wonder how this will affect his work next season.

See chatt - you hit the nail right on the head! That's what was off kilter to me. The cold, impersonal nature of the autopsy was perfect - watching his organs being passed over. It just seemed an off key note for him to see the coroner laugh - dark humour in work or not, this would not have been something he had ever seen.

Cause I am just dying to know what Nick said to Grissom that we never got to hear. Grissom responded "You never did, Nick." The best I could come up with was 'I hope I didn't disappoint you,' but I could be WAY off.

Dear RatEater,
Sorry....I do not have the lip reading talent...but my thoughts were right in line with yours. I thougnt he either said "I hope I never disappointed you or I hope I never let you down". What a dirty trick to let Grissom in on it but not us. And poor Nick doesnt even know he's being the star of a perverted version of NICk-TV!
