Not sure if this link was posted...it doesn't say a whole lot, but that one line is pretty telling:

"Race to the Finish" -- As they complete their journey around the world, the final three teams race to reach the finish line first and win the $1 million prize, on the season finale of THE AMAZING RACE, Thursday, Dec. 13(9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. (Previously scheduled for an earlier date)

Separated only by minutes, the race comes down to an all-out dash through Alaska to the finish line in New York City.

Damn, well, there is it is. Looks like there won't be a stop in Newfoundland like so many of us hoped and speculated about. And this is also confirmation that they end in New York. And that the teams all bunch up again.

I have to say as a Canadian I'm disappointed, but I'm sure it will be a great ending anyway!

Thanks for doing that -- it was so short that I should have just posted the text here.

Here's the article:

Phil Keoghan is the host of the series.

And my comments:
- Some people are speculating that the three teams get to start the final leg with a clean slate. This is not conclusive information either way. It could mean that all three teams are separated only by minutes, or it could be referring to just the first two teams.
- Instead of starting with a clean slate, there may have been travel-related timing issues that brought the teams closer together.
- It may not be all that close, and CBS is just trying to hype it so that people will finally tune in since it's the final episode.
