MB's ex-wife has an autobiography coming out on September 18th. And she's made a few show-related claims within, none of which her former husband is happy about. Nothing about scandals within or potential game-rigging and contestants smuggling matches, at least not that The Hollywood Reporter cared to put in the column. She's just saying she came up with many elements of the series. Some of those mentioned in the article are:

* The name
* Selecting Jeff as host
* Helping to pick the original cast

She even got Richard to write the foreword.

MB is counterattacking this, and hard. Show employes were contacting THR in droves, supposedly of their own free will, to try and invalidate every last claim -- Sears and Jiffie included. And here's a Fair Use quote from MB himself, who wants everyone to believe this is all in the name of book sales: "If she did so much, so long ago, where are all her new shows?"
