I'm mad at this season now that Pam & Winnie have been eliminated. They were, like, the best team on the show. They were one of the few teams that were able to balance out being snarky and sarcastic, while still having a good attitude about being on the race.

...Stupid ostrich.

Rich, But Not Too Rich

This was a pretty interesting week for betting. Because the TAR producers basically gave away the fact that Bates/Anthony were going for the Fast Forward in their press releases. But at the same time, Pam/Winnie, who were the second-most popular pick, flamed out completed.

So we had a lot of really good scores across the board with All-Ins on Bates/Anthony. But a bunch of people at the top (myself included) who had points left over, dumped 'em on Pam/Winnie.

So it was one of those bunching weeks for the TAR Casino Game where the scores really even themselves out. The "Playing It Straight" bonus really helped a few players jump ahead, though.

The Greatest Gainer Award goes to IanQuentin for climbing a whopping 7 ranks this week with an awesome Bates/Anthony loan, coupled with a good bonus wager. I think he'll like where those 7 ranks ended up landing him too.

The Perfect Bet Award goes to bystander who just made a mockery of doubling-up with a staggering 7.4x payout. beau_30 (4.8x) also had a ridiculously good week. Those 60 point loans are risky, but they can really pay off!

Much like pepperz last week, IanQuentin made a huge leap from the #8 spot and has nabbed the top spot on the leaderboard. Will he consolidate his power this week, or will someone else take his place? We shall see.

Bonus Game - Lucky 7!

The object of this game is to pick two teams whose ranks at the end of the next episode add up to 7. In other words, that means you're trying to pick the teams that finish 1st & 6th, 2nd & 5th, or 3rd & 4th.

It doesn't matter what your intent is, just the outcome. If you bet on two teams, expecting them to be 1st & 6th, and then they finish 3rd & 4th, you still win. All you're doing is picking two teams for your wager and hoping they add to 7. I can't tell you how many times I've dumb lucked my way into a win at this game. I recall a bet I made a couple years back expecting my guys to finish 2nd/5th... And then they ended up finishing 3rd/4th, causing me to win the bonus anyway. Hooray for luck!

Place a wager next to your bonus picks. If the final ranks of the two bonus teams you pick equals 7, then you're a winner.
