"The pre-vote logic of Talihantz."

1. If I give up the necklace and wind up safe afterwards, I will have protected the person I wanted to keep, shown that my alliance partners are capable of keeping their word, and will have proven myself smarter than Erik, who lives in Hell and must therefore be outwitted at every opportunity.

2. However, there is a chance this will not happen.

3. Those within my faith may choose to betray me.

4. In my innocence and determination to save those below me, I would allow the traitors to attack.

5. I shall be nailed to a cross made of votes.

6. My game-life will end in the name of saving another, effectively dying for the sins of the group.

7. And lo, I will be sent into the underworld to face the force of evil, unrepentance, a faith not my own, and really bad hair.

8. Should I defeat this dark power, I will be resurrected into the game in three broadcast days.

9. So if I give up the necklace and my plan works out, I'm golden.

10. But if I do it and they backstab me, I'm Jesus.

11. And loon, he rooted for the backstab.

Rick said it all, in the most ringing lines of the season: STUPID MOVE! Whilst he wrote Brandon's name on the card....

Brandon wasn't meant for the game, that's for sure!

God's reply:

"Brandon, I helped you get the Immunity Idol. What more do you want? Why would you give away my gift?"

Reminds me of the joke about the guy who's caught in a flood and turns down a rowboat, motorboat, and a helicopter rescue because he believes God will save him. When he gets to heaven and asks God about it, he says "What are you talking about? I sent you a rowboat, a motorboat, and a helicopter."

It's not exactly a joke, but I do remember it, although I've heard a version where it was a woman and her pets who were in that position. They got a car, a boat and a helicopter.

I think he just wanted to join the pygmies on RI. His people.

Maybe he thought he could save them from their heathen ways. From his position among the carrots and peas in the missionary stew pot.

It's all really simple: He just made sure he would be re-invited.
