"New name to the boards but not new to this site"

Hi all! I have been viewing these boards for over a year now and I finally took my stalkings to the stage! I've been reading the boards on BB1 + 2(still pondering on Mike's keebler elf/prepubecent/ getto glam look), Survivor (of course) and TI (for some sick, odd reason). I plan to watch Love Cruise (whenever it will air!)

Anyway, you guys make me laugh. You all have great insights. I hope that I can add to that, too.

Welcome Circe!

"Love the name"

Welcome, Circe! Love the screen name. For some time, we have had another witch around here (mistofleas); I hope that it won't be too much of an odyssey for you to post here (groan...).

A quick Circe story: the Oedipus myth is not the only one the Greeks had about a son killing his father. Per one version of Greek legend, Circe bore children fathered by Odysseus. When her oldest son, Telegonus, was old enough, Circe told him of his father, and he journeyed to Ithaca to meet him. Instead, Telegonus got into a fight with an old man who was defending some cattle and killed him -- the old man being his father, Odysseus. Then, Telegonus married Odysseus's wife Penelope (who did not know that she was marrying her stepson); meanwhile, Odysseus and Penelope's son Telemachus retraced his father's journey and met and ended up marrying Circe, his half-brother's mother.

I guess the Greeks had a swinging sex life, at least in their myths!

Thanks for the welcome!

AyaK, very nice Circe catch up for the non-mythos crowd on this site. Yes, those greeks are very fiesty when it comes to love. Have you ever been to Mikanos on a Friday night....woah!

Hmmm...Why I picked this name? It's tossed between my insatiable love for mythology and my grecian roots (however, turning men into swine always sounded like a grand idea...joking!)

Well. Tonight's the night! Can't wait for LC. I hope Shakes wins (or at least mentally tortures the media whores on board!).
