Argh. Didn't realize it was going to be extra long, so I set my VCR to go for an hour. I missed the last 5 min of the show. The good news is, I only have to wait until tomorrow to catch the end on NBC.com.

Other than that, what did everyone think?

I thought it was an interesting episode. I kept waiting for Peter to come back, and naturally it was Claire who figured it out.

I liked Isaac's idea of creating a timeline for Hiro to see. Who better to outline the correct sequence of events than the guy who can see the future?

What I didn't understand was why Mohinder didn't finish Sylar off when he had the chance. Just a few minutes before, he'd pointed a gun at Sylar and pulled the trigger, only to have the bullet stopped in mid-air. So why didn't he slit Sylar's throat, knowing how difficult it would be for anyone to deal with him when he was conscious? Earlier Mohinder was willing to kill him in cold blood, so what changed?

I thought it was a great episode. I was so looking forward to its return & I am glad they touched a little bit on each character.

I agree Max, I knew it would be Claire to pull that piece of glass from Peter & he would come back to life. Since Peter doesn't want her to go to France I can see those two joining forces to help stop the bomb. Although since next epi is set 5 years in the future we will have to wait 2 weeks to see this happening.

I really enjoyed the escape sequence with HRG, Matt, & nuclear man. (can't remember his name)It's amazing, I hated HRG earlier in the season & now he has become one of my favorite characters. I really liked how he concentrated to get into Matt's head & all three of them escaped.

Again there is a big spoiler in the on line comic book on Hiro and who the bomb is.

I loved this show. Linderman and Nathan explaining what all the paintings are and what they show. Sylar killing Issac and painting the same picture...so Nathan is headed for the White House. Now Linderman is going to use Micah for what.

I still wonder if Linderman is good or bad because he said he is good but a few used their power for personal gains. Hummm...Linderman has casino's, mob connections, lots of money and power....I think he is the one that has lost his way IMHO.

The escape with Matt, Ted, and HRG was great....HRG had some great lines during that time.

I missed the preview for next week as I did not add a few minutes to the DVR....but did catch the last 2 minutes this morning on-line.

Now Linderman is going to use Micah for what.

My guess was fixing the election. If they're using electronic voting machines, there's no one better to do it.

Hobbs, I keep highlighting your posts to see if you've put the spoiler in hidden text. Bawdy would do that for us, you know

Yes....I would but when I'm at work....time is tight now adays.....I'll try to do better...lol....

Edit: I keep having to look up how to do it....here is the spoiler:

Hiro kills the bomber but is reborn to do it...and the bomber is not Peter but Sylar. Thus why he went back in time to get Peter to Save the Cheerleader and stop Sylar from taking Clair's powers. But nothing in the future changed when he went back. People with powers are jailed and are called terrorist.

That part confused me a little bit. I didn't see how Isaac showed the others how to stop Slyer, because I don’t think it was Isaac who put together the time line. With future Hiro being there I think it was him who put it all together. Of all the Heroes, Peter and Hiro seem to be the only ones working to help other people. You could even argue that after saving Claire, Peter is now simply working to save his own skin (and brain).

Hiro, like Isaac, began to realize that you can’t fight or change the future; at least his attempts so far have been unsuccessful. Maybe the timeline is an attempt to show his past self what has happened and what can be changed to fix the future.

This is why I hate time travel in movies…

I think the "last" comic he gave that guy is what he meant. Must be something in there that shows how to kill Sylar...although I must admit I *loved* the Sylar/Peter showdowns. That was great when he went invisible!

Didn't one of the cheerleader paintings show her dead? Or maybe that was the other girl...but it certainly seemed that they were trying to change a future that Isaac (or Hiro) expected to happen.

I liked Sylar's line after Peter went invisible...

Here's my guess on how Issac shows how to stop Slyer. It's only a guess. I haven't seen any spoilers about it.

I think the clue is drawn inside his sketch book. That's why he gave it to the messanger, to get it out of his studio and away from Sylar. I also think that in his last comic there is a panel that shows Hiro finding the sketch book while he is in the future. That's why Issac was so confident when he faces Sylar. He had done his job, he had found how to stop Sylar and he knew Hiro will find the book and figure it out.

But I'm probably wrong.

"Regarding Peter"
Posted by J I M B O on 04-24-07 at 06:56 PM

At first I thought Nathan was going to fly him (Superman style, not on United) to Linderman to get "healed" and in return agree to join his crusade. Then cheerleader pulled the glass out.

What I noticed though was that he seemed to change a bit after he woke up...as if they were subtly altering his personality. Anyone else notice that? His hair was out of his face, he was forceful...even a bit angry with his brother. Could he have been affected somehow after his second meeting with Sylar?

And if he's around Sylar, can he now do EVERYTHING Sylar can? Liquify matter, super-sensitive hearing...etcetera. Or because of how Sylar acquires his power does it not get picked up by Peter? Seems Peter was able to throw him across the room, which to my knowledge is a new thing.

The writers seem to have a tough job keeping Peter's skills in line with the story.

I think he can do everything that Skylar could do. That makes him pretty equal with him. At least that's what I choose to believe.

That's the thing though, it took Sylar time to deal with his new hearing ability...but Peter must have absorbed it without even noticing. I suppose invisible man could have helped him subvert all his powers that well, but I'd rather see stuff like that explained. Otherwise it seems like an oversight.

I liked Peter better when he had to be near another hero to use thier powers. This permanent absorbsion makes him all powerful and strictly better than anyone else. I hope he a Syler get kid off by year's end or he'll be unbalencing to the storyline. The proxsimity thing kept him in check, like Sylers need to "?" brains (What does he do with them, eat them?)
It's like on the Superfriends. Why did they need so many heros. Superman could do everything the others could do and then some. The rest were just dialouge filler.

I see Peter as kind of a Tragic Hero, Like Hamlet. Yes he can take on everyone else's powers, but he has some personality flaws that bring him back down to earth. Despite the help he recieced, I do not think he has his contol issues wrapped up.
