Gee. They had the odds the games naturally throw to the house, all those high rollers, national TV exposure, and Mark Burnett. And they still failed. That must have taken some serious work.

Who says they failed? They sold out for more than they paid for it, at least as I heard it. Did you hear otherwise?

The Forbes article mentioned that Landru Landry's restaurants bought the Golden Nugget ("jewel of a faded downtown )for 140 million in cash, plus assumed 155 million in debt. Here is the link:

It didn't seem written in a positive TimTom light. They paid 215 million for it.
