Well I have to post one little piece of scoop I heard today- Sean Astin (LOTR) will be joining the cast of 24 this season at CTU. (I can't really picture a Hobbit as a CTU agent though).

Well, I feel totally ripped off. A prequel?? Are you kidding me????? Not impressed. Didn't even watch the second hour. Went out on the front porch with a bottle of vino instead.

Maroonclown, what are you referring to?

Season 5 will take place 18 months after season 4. On the 4th season DVD, they'll put out a 'prequel' to Season 5 to give us a sneak peak. They did the same thing on the 3rd season DVD for Season 5.

If you've heard something else, I'd be interested to know.

I watched it this past Sunday and Kim was a teenager, Jack was with his wife, Nina was working at CTU, Tony worked on the floor and they were trying to stop an assassination plot on then Senator Palmer, still with wife Sherrie and hoping for election into Presidency.

I didn't watch the second hour so perhaps that was a runup to something else, but it sure did look like a prequel to me.
