…and the winners are: Dan and Jordan!!!

Well, well, well... I can’t believe we’re done with season 16. Can you believe it? Thanks for participating in the love list this season. Without you guys, we would never know how you really feel about the teams! Very special thanks go out to my fabulous stat guy, kidflash, who compiled all our ramblings into coherent averages all season.

On this episode, our final three teams set out form Shanghai to San Francisco. Once they got there, they had to find the Presidio to get the next clue, which sent them to Coit Tower for a roadblock – ascend the tower, grab the clue and rappel back down to their partner.

Next, they had to find Letterman Studios, where stormtroopers escorted them to a virtual reality video game task where one partner was the character in the game while the other navigated them through the game. Very cool!!!

After that, they had to go to the Tonga room, pick up a steamer trunk and deliver it to the Great American Music Hall. There, they had to place the order of the eliminated teams plus the non-elimination legs on a metal display rack… and finally, they had to get to Candlestick Park for the finish line, where we found out that Brandy still is a beeyotch!

Here are my season 16 rankings:

01. Jet and Cord – they had the most fun the entire race and left with their integrity intact.

02. Dan and Jordan – good job on the last leg, but the cutting in line with your backpacks and the little hissy fits keep you out of first. Good for you on the win, though!

03. Steve and Allie – I missed them the most after their elimination. They were one of the more likable parent/child teams as they got along, supported each other and worked well together.

04. Jody and Shannon – they were gone too soon. Too bad granny had no clue what the word “race” meant.

05. Monique and Shawne – I had high hopes for them, but they couldn’t handle it. I wish they had been in it longer.

06. Jordan and Jeff – I hated the fact that they recycled DAWs from another show, so I hated them a lot. Not to mention how stupid they were, but when they left, I really wished other teams would have gone instead. Oh well.

07. Louie and Michael – I still don’t know how they lasted so long. They were “meh” overall. Some times were good, but some times were bad.

08. Joe and Heidi – they left me with the impression of an entitled attitude, which rubbed me the wrong way.

09. Dana and Adrian - sorry we barely knew you.

10. Dumb and Dumber – no Caite, you did not prove you are smart here. …and Brent is not too swift either.

11. Carol and the beeyotch – shut up and go the eff home. Nobody cares if you can’t handle the rules of the game you signed up to play! You wished you were at a cushy azz resort, so that’s where Caite tried to send you. Little did she know, it was too late in the season for you to go to sequesterville.

It's always fun to do an end-of-season lvoe list and compare it to my week 1 list. As expected, watching a season always changes my opinion of teams, sometimes drastically. Here's my list, with week 1 rankings in (parentheses).

Like:
1. Jet and Cord (1) - They got along well with each other and with everyone else, they always had positive attitudes, they (mostly) raced well, and their fish-out-of-water routine and "Oh my gravy" comments never got old. What's not to like, except their 2nd-place finish?
2. Steve and Allie (3) - A solid, drama-free team who quietly got the job done for several legs. For as long as they lasted, we didn't see much of them, and that's too bad as I enjoyed watching them.
3. Jody and Shannon (2) - Predestined for an early philimination, but I would've liked to see them last a little longer as they seemed like nice, down-to-earth people. It's too bad Nana only had one speed-- slow.

Meh:
4. Dan and Jordan (8) - After an initially bad edit, these two improved somewhat, to the point where I was only mildly disappointed when they won. Jordan was screechy throughout the race and their racing was inconsistent (at best), but they came through when they needed to.
5. Jordan and Jeff (9) - Though they squabbled far more than I needed to see, they were refreshing in that a) they realized they were dumb, and b) they were able to laugh at themselves about their stupidity. Every race needs some comic relief, and they inadvertently provided it.
6. Monique and Shawne (10) - Another team predestined for an early philimination, but without the charm of Team Nana. At least they didn't bother me too much.
7. Dana/Adrian (not ranked) - Two pleasant people who were totally unsuited for The Amazing Race.
8. Joe/Heidi (7) - They didn't bother me as much as most other posters around here, but Joe must've been a Class A jerk to the other teams to get such a venomous U-Turn. Anyone with an ounce of strategic sense would've noted Joe's bad knee and U-Turned a stronger team, but that was personal.

Don't like
9. Caite and Brent (5) - Brent was a tool throughout, while Caite sprinkled an occasional redeeming comment into an otherwise unpleasant persona. It's been long enough since her Miss Teen South Carolina debacle for Caite to not still have such a huge chip on her shoulder, even with goading from The Lesbians Carol and Brandy.
10. Louie and Michael (6) - Clueless and arrogant, a wonderful combination.
11. Carol and Brandy (4) - Very beotchy during the race, and Carol's sarcastic token clapping and Brandy's comments at the final mat sealed their fate. It's a reality TV show for a million dollars, so competitiveness is expected, but sportsmanship is also expected, and there was none to be found with those two.

1 Jet and Cord - Oh. my gravy. I'm sorry the race is over because I am going to miss seeing them.

2 Dan and Jordan - I have liked them since the champagne tower challange. They never attacked each other and always supported each other.

3 Steve and Allie - I'm sorry they didn't last longer.

4 Joe and Heidi - They didn't bother me as much as some here were bothered.

5 Jody and Shannon - I guess they have to cast some team to be eleminated early.

6 Dana and Adrian - We didn't get to know this team. I probably would have liked them.

7 Jordan and Jeff - They were dumb, but funny.

8 Brent and Caite - They may grow up to be decent people someday.

9 Monique and Shawn - I am tired of the ones running the race to prove something to their kids.

10 Louie and Michael - Clueless and not funny.

11 Carol and Brandy - I'm sorry, Carol, I may have liked you if you had a different partner. I think Brandy was the nastiest racer to ever be on the show.

I left the nos. for final three as is..the others is my placement on week 1

1. Dan and Jordan (2)(6)(3)(3)(1)(2)(1)(3)(1)(1)(1)- they WON! They shouldn't have cut in line...but it didn't really matter bc they went up to 1st class anyway. They did a great job on the last leg and I love that Jordan fulfilled his dream of winning. He knew how to run the final leg and was prepared for memory (although it was simpler than others with tasks and places, but I'm sure Jordan had those written down too)

2. Jody and Shannon (1)- I like the grandma. I knew they weren't going to last though.

3. Monique and Shawne (5)- I really liked them while they were there.

4. Carol and Brandy(6) - they were good racers but Brandy should have let it go at the finale it was over and done with but I understand her frustration.

5. Dana and Adrian -(p)they seemed nice enough

6. Jordan and Jeff (10)- dumb as nails but had some comic relief

7. Steve and Allie -(3) They declined for me bc of their "family values" talk and they shouldn't have left behind their packs

8. Joe and Heidi(8) - meh, they also had the "family values" statements and I really did not like their attitudes

9. Louie and Michael (7)- meh too cocky and they teamed up with the wolf CuBs

10. Caite and Brent (9)(8)(7)(6)(6)(6)(6)(5)(4)(4)(10)- hated them from beginning and still do.

So you didn't want to get too close to Jordan, Jet even for a million dollars? ok then. Editing is a lot. I'm so glad that Dan/Jordan won!

11. Jet and Cord (4)(2)(1)(5)(3)(3)(4)(1)(2)(2)(11) - they were good racers but talking over someone to get them to mess up is sabotaging another's play how much intregity do you need to do that? They reminded me of Rupert and Colby with their holier than thou attitude--ugh. I also did not like their closemindedness and aw shucks attitude.

1)Dan & Jordan - They did a great job on the final leg. I wish they hadn't cut in line - that was a crappy, unnecessary thing to do but it wasn't like they got the last two tickets on the flight. Lot of fuss over nothing. I'm finding a lot of people are accusing them of cheating. Nonsense, moving to First Class was a brilliant move, not their fault that the other two teams weren't bright enough to think of it. They thought ahead, stayed within the rules to gain an advantage and won fair and square. It's shame their victory was marred by the actions of nasty sore loser teams.

2)Dana & Adrian - Didn't get to know them which might explain why I have a high opinion of them.

3)Monique & Shawn - Never saw them as a threat to go far but they were likable.

4)Jody & Shannon - Slowest moving racer in TAR history but nice people.

5)Jordan & Jeff - Complete idiots but they weren't nasty and had a sense of humour.

6)Steve & Allie - Be glad to be this high Philthie fan.

7)Joe & Heidi - He was a big bully and I hate bullies.

8)Michael & Louie - Not very competent racers who were ridiculously arrogant.

9)Carol & Brandy - Should have been the better person at the finish line and not distracted from Dan & Jordan's win.

10)Caite & Brent - Caite is a vile spoiled brat with no interest or respect for anyone but herself. She didn't even respect her own partner and her actions in the cab on the last leg are being overlooked - truly disgusting.

11)Jet & Cord - Liked them well enough until the final leg. Their sore loser comments about leaving with their heads held high were subtle insinuations that Dan & Jordan couldn't. That's BS. As if loudly yelling to distract your opponent, telling your partner to push someone or give them a wedgie is good sportmanship but getting plane tickets 30 seconds earlier than they should have was so horrible Dan & Jordan won't be able to look anyone in the eye again.

1. Dan & Jordan- So happy his bro helped him fulfill a dream.
2. Caite (oh yeah, that guy too)- for her response to Brandy that got her to STH up! You know, the part where she said "that's why you're there and I'm up here". Loved it.
3. Jet & Cord- They kinda rubbed me the wrong way with some of their comments not only on the final leg but throughout the race. Still, like them though not as much as the beginning.

4-10. You can put them all in a bowl, toss it and then let them fall where they may.

11. Carol & Brandy- They acted like some teenage girls who just knew they were going to make the cheerleading squad and then realized there name is no where on the list. Get over yourselves!!

1-10 Tie. There was no team I really rooted for this season...maybe Jeff and Jordan because I watched Big Brother. Teams 1-10 were equal in my mind as far as liking. I would have been happy with any of the top three winning. Actually was hoping Brent and Caite would win to really make the beeyotches even madder.

11 - Carol and Brandy. They were an embarrassment. Little did they realize that people can be roadblocked just because they are not liked. They never gave Caite a chance. To even know she was in a youtube video is pretty pathetic. Get a life girls. Honestly this was probably my least favorite team ever on the race. Please CBS...no Heroes vs Villians on AR. I never want to see these two again.

Here are my final rankings:

1. Jet & Cord -- you didn't win the Race, but you did win the Favorite Team award!

2. Steve & Allie -- I wish they'd been in the finals!

3. Dan & Jordan -- congratulations! You weren't my favorite team but I still liked you.

4. Monique & Shawn -- I wish you'd stayed around longer. But it just wasn't meant to be.

5. Dana & Adrian -- I wish I'd gotten to know you better.

6. Jody & Shannon -- liked you guys but you didn't really race.

7. Jordan & Jeff -- you were nice but very dumb.

8. Brent & Caitie -- I wasn't too fond of you but at least you had the decency to try to apologize, Caitie.

9. Louie & Michael -- I'm a little surprised you made it as far as you did, but I'm glad you made it that far.

10. Joe & Heidi -- I wanted to like you guys, but you made it very hard, Joe.

Big gap --

11. Carol & Brandy -- I know you're mad at having been U-Turned, but please get over it!

Is it sad that I barely remember the teams from the beginning of the season?

Ranks are from the first episode, except for the final three teams

1. Jet and Cord (1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1) - Overall my favorite team. They got along with each other (and stayed out of the other teams' drama) , were generally good racers, and stayed positive no matter what happened. They made a few comments that made me pause, but I don't think they meant anything by them, unlike many of the other teams.
2. Steve and Allie (7) - Other than the painting problems the first episode, they got along well and were pretty good racers.
3. Jody and Shannon (2) - I liked them, but they didn't seem to understand that it was a race.
4. Dan and Jordan (6,6,4,4,5,4,3,2,2,2,2) - Grating at the beginning, but they definitely improved. The backpack in line and not speaking to the cowboys dropped them down a little. Just because it was the last leg doesn't mean you have to stop being nice.
5. Monique and Shawne (3) - They were fine.
6. Joe and Heidi (5) - Also fine, though I wonder why the other teams didn't like them.
7. Dana and Adrian (P) - They seemed okay, but didn't stay around long enough to know.
8. Louie and Michael (8) - I don't understand how they got so far. And teaming up with Caite and Brent was odd.
9. Carol and Brandy (4) - Carol was okay, but Brandy got on my nerves. And the final mat really wasn't the place for a confrontation.
10. Jordan and Jeff (10) - They were dumb, but at least weren't nasty.
11. Caite and Brent (9,8,6,5,6,6,6,5,4,4,3) - They were dumb and mean, both to each other and the other contestants.

I've watched the whole season but due to time constraints haven't commented much. Your list is mine.

The cowboys were the most entertaining pair of the season while the Brandy turned into sour mash.

1. Jet/Cord - I wouldn't say I was overly disappointed they didn't win. They were the best racers this season.
2. Dan/Jordan - If not for some questionable plays, I would put them in first.
3. Steve/Allie - I was sad to see them go. They seemed to have a strong relationship.
4. Carol/Brandy - If they did that at the finish line to a team I actually liked, I might care more, but it's only Brent and Caite.
5. Jeff/Jordan - At least, they admit their stupidity.
6. Jody/Shannon - Gone too soon to have much of an opinion.
7. Monique/Shawne - See above.
8. Dana/Adrian - See above.
9. Joe/Heidi - Only because Joe reminds me of Jon Gosselin.
10. Louie/Michael - If they keep their jobs after this, I'll be suprised.
11. Brent/Caite - Go away, Caite. Forever.

1. Jet & Cord - Decent guys who stayed out of the drama. However, couldn't figure out the spinny clue in time and it cost them... didn't (whoever it was) wonder why Jordan was spinning around in one place for a long time?

2. Steve & Allie - Drama free and got along... wish they would have stayed longer.

3. Monique & Shawne - Nice ladies who weren't cut out for the race.

4. Dana & Adrian - Nice couple who weren't cut out for the race.

5. Jody & Shannon - Grandma wasn't cut out for the race.

6. Dan & Jordan - While I would have preferred the cowboys to finish first, I wasn't too disappointed with these guys winning. They really annoyed me in the beginning but got better.

7. Jeff & Jordan - Dumb as a bag of hammers but yes, they recognized that and poked fun at themselves.

8. Joe & Heidi - I didn't hate them as much as others... the victims of a u-turn (a terrible 2nd task) and they didn't spat at the mat.

9. Brent & Caite - Delusional... Caite set out to prove that she was an intelligent person. Unfortunately for her, she proved the exact opposite with their numerous, dumb mistakes and WTF, forgetting your stuff on the final leg? I didn't appreciate her treatment of the cab driver either. Although, I did appreciate her sit down and shut up comment to the beyotch.

10. Louis & Michael - Arrogant racers who weren't all that, but they made it far... they shouldn't have made it so far because they sucked royally!

11. The Beyotches - Brandy is the nastiest person in the history of TAR. Carol was not much better with her fake clapping. Brandy took a great moment for Dan & Jordan and ruined it. The only thing she mananged to do was embarass herself on tv. I'm sure she will wallow in bitterness for the rest of her life and never forget Caite - now that's justice, b!tch!!
