"TAR Lvoe List Volume 16.7"

I've Got a Lovely Bunch of Coconuts...!

On this episode, teams flew from Champagne, France to Mahe, Seychelles. They were all bunched up on the same plane because the island was fairly remote and very few flights even go there.

Once on the island, they had to take a number for a helicopter ride to a smaller island where they were faced with a detour: turtle toddle - get an old, huge turtle to run a race course while guiding them with a banana, then each grab a bunch of bananas and deliver them to the fruit guy - or - ox trot - load a lovely bunch of coconuts into a cart, then deliver it to the fruit guy by guided ox to get the next clue. Steve and Allie were the only ones to successfully complete the turtle task, while Carol and Brandy tried it but later switched. Three teams were not careful with their coconuts and were sent back by the fruit guy to retrieve the lost ones.

Next, the teams had to swim out to a boat which would take them to St. Pierre. While on the boat, they stopped in the middle of the Indian Ocean for the roadblock: dive down into the water, loosen a rope on a bottle, then bring the bottle on to the boat and finally swim to shore to assemble the map inside, which pointed the way to the pit stop.

Don't forget to check out last week's rankings by the fabulous kidflash to see how your favorite team is doing.

On to the list!!!

Rank. Names (last week's rank) -

1. Steve and Allie (2) - A near perfect leg, except for leaving their bags behind. We are finally getting to see more of them and I like them! They are a great parent/child team. Very encouraging and helpful to each other.

2. Dan and Jordan (4) - They had an near perfect leg as well, so I will give them props and move them up. They did well for the last two legs. I just wish the one's voice was not like nails on a chalkboard.

3. Jet and Cord (3) - Well, good gravy, they continue to lose points in Jims Casino! They are slipping... at both doing race tasks and on my lvoe list. I like them well enough, I'm just angry at them for making lots of dumb mistakes the last two legs, so they will stay down here.

4. Louie and Michael (1) - I told you last week was a one time shot at being in first place on my list. Now they go back down where they belong.

5. Carol and Brandy (5) - Hate them.

6. Caite and Brent (6) - Hate them more.

OK, now it's your turn.

I've been 2 Patched!

1. Phil - because none of these teams are worthy of a #1 spot. Too many mistakes.

2. Dan & Jordan- More entertaining than annoying this time.

3. Steve & Allie- How can you forget your bags?

4. Michael & Louie- You counted on dumb & dumber to get to the finish line. What does that say about you?

5. Caite & Brent- It's "anonymous" I mean unanimous, Brent is a brat. But they are still entertaining.

6. Jet & Cord- Never, ever thought you would be this low on my list. Too many mistakes the last two shows and then you want to "collar" the man because YOU left a coconut. Unacceptable.

7. Brandi & Carol- Question, has the blonde done anything?

Just too many mistakes this episode.

Sloppy, sloppy, sloppy. Not one, not two, but three teams managed to end up short by one coconut. Wow.

Like:
1. Steve and Allie (2) - They're not getting a winner's edit, but they've been drama-free and consistently strong throughout the race. Forgetting their backpacks was a silly mistake, though.

2. Jet and Cord (1) - Oh my gravy, I still like these two, but their racing has gotten progressively worse. Being completely out of their element is proving to be tougher on them than I expected.

Meh:
3. Louie and Michael (3) - Just as I predicted, a bunch point sent these two back to mediocrity. At least they're tolerable to watch most of the time.

Don't like:
4. Dan and Jordan (6) - Still not my favorites, but I dislike them less than two other teams.
5. Caite and Brent (5) - Brent is a tool without any redeeming features. Caite is a whiny moron, but at least she's cute.
6. Carol and Brandy (4) - Getting bitchier by the moment. Here's hoping they go home next.

Philiminated. Nobody. And it's a good thing, as I like the cowboys.

Come on now, how many knew where these islands were? I had never heard of them...

What a bunch of yahoos this leg...heck this season...

1. Dan and Jordan (2)(6)(3)(3)(1)(2)- they were the best this week with no mistakes and they make me laugh

2. Louie and Michael (7)(7)(6)(4)(2)(1)-also mistake free, so Louie is buff but needs to do his cardio...I guess they don't do urine testing at his precinct?

3. Carol and Brandy -(6)(4)(4)(2)(5)(4)-at least they kept going without bickering and it paid off no speed bump

4. Jet and Cord (4)(2)(1)(5)(3)(3)- they were very lucky, why would you go to all the trouble of getting the bottle and not do anything else with it..I'm tiring of the aw shucks attitude...meh

5. Steve and Allie (3)(1)(2)(1)(4)(5)- this was the biggest mistake of the race imho. I'll be curious to see how much in front of other teams they are..they realized their error close to land, they could have ran back pretty quickly. and what happened to their shoes? they didn't do the turtle task barefoot...but I think other people were barefoot too. But what happens when they open the next clue and it says...Fly to Siberia?!?

6. Caite and Brent (9)(8)(7)(6)(6)(6)- yes it is anonymous you are stupid petulant children

"Come on now, how many knew where these islands were? I had never heard of them..."

I had, but only because I scuba dive. Apparently the diving there is amazing, and seeing how clear the water was I believe it.

I had a general idea where they were. But I certainly knew how to say it.

Only Carol & Brandy said the name correctly. Give them a bonus point for that, at least.

This list is getting hard to compile:

1)Dan & Jordan - Can't say that I lvoe this team but they are not involved in any of the drama between the teams, are not making stupid blunders and have no connection to my second most despised baseball team.

2)Jet & Cord - Why would someone think the leather thing inside the bottle wasn't important and leave it behind? That makes no sense at all. I hope they can get it together, I still like them personally.

3)Carol & Brandy - They were badmouthed by other teams but I'm not sure that was warranted. They may not be the nicest team around but they have not been intentionally cruel either.

4)Michael & Louie - Too arrogant for me and I don't see why they are putting themselves in the middle of the drama between Brent & Caite and Carol & Brandy. I think they were the team that told Caite about the tiara comment(not 100% sure though) which wasn't necessary and just caused trouble.

5)Caite & Brent - I've had enough with their stupidity, there is nothing cute about their ignorance or their attitudes. I now wish they had been eliminated instead of Jordan & Jeff - they were idiots too but they didn't have Caite's nasty, bitter streak.

6)Steve & Allie - I expect they will wind up on the top of many lists this week but not this Met fan's. There was also a tiny whiff of self righteousness in some of Allie's comments. Another Weaver?

Nobody Philiminated, which was good because without Jet & Cord following the rest of these teams for the remainder of the season would be tough. I'm hoping a mental challenge will completely stump B&C next week allowing them to catch up.

1. Dan and Jordan - Very little drama coming from these two this week. They got along with Box the Ox well enough, but doesn't it seem like they always get paired up with animals that are constantly crapping?

2. Carol and Brandy - You're only this high because the others were even worse in this episode. Your renegade tortoise was hilarious (not that you deserve any credit for that).

3. Louie and Michael - They depended on Brute and Katie to get them to the mat: even more evidence that they are the world's worst detectives.

4. Steve and Allie - Yes, God wanted you to win this leg of the Race. It's because you're from a good family, you know.

5. Brute and Katie - You're both right! Brute is an idiot. Katie is an idiot. Now all three of us agree on something.

6. Plane and Cable - It's too bad these ugly Americans were not Philiminated and sent to a place where English is spoken, per their stated desire at the beginning of the episode. Brute threw a little temper tantrum about the coconuts, but at least he did not suggest that he wanted to intervene physically with the local guy responsible for handing out the clues.

1. Dan & Jordan: Gotta give them credit for being mistake-free. They also were not so annoying this week and actually were kind of funny.

2. Louie & Michael: Almost mistake-free. You knew you were all going to be on a plane together. You should have taken the time to secure better seats.

3. Steve & Allie: Very stupid to realize you left your bags and not go get them, especially when you knew you had some time.

4. Carol & Brandy: You saw a team come back. You should have checked all around your cart.

5. Jet & Cord: I hate putting them this low. I still love them and think they do well in taking things in stride, but you made two mistakes and got lucky by the non-elim.

6. Brent & Caite. How I wish you had quit. Life isn't fair. You gonna quit that next?

1. *crickets*

2. *bullfrogs*

3. *crickets and bullfrogs sleeping together*

4. Dan & Jordan. Behold the power of seat booking -- and not much else. They got into the front of the pack because they actually bothered to read their clue, then stayed there through the power of looking at the ground to see if they'd lost any bloody coconuts. But you don't get first place on a love list just by demonstrating the common sense of a concussed mayfly, not even when everyone else around you can't get that far up the intellectual ladder. But at least they're vaguely competent -- for now. And incredibly annoying. Can't forget incredibly annoying.

5. Carol & Brandy. Seriously: would it have been that hard to just, I don't know, turn your eyes vaguely downwards while asking yourselves 'Does anything in the grass look like a coconut?' Especially knowing another team had been turned back before you? (And why did everyone who blew this waste time arguing at the meet point?) Only up this high because this would have been the leg for a total self-destruct and they managed to hold it together long enough to reach the Pit Stop. Kudos. I guess.

6. Louie & Michael. Just like I thought: the pack gets equalized and you immediately slip back into your natural position: somewhere towards the rear. Hark to the delicate scent of purest svck wafting across the air. Where could that be coming from? Solve the mystery, kids: in a couple of episodes, that's going to be you... By the way, there's a reason teams don't eat on the course, and from now until the end of the series, you and the partners in chicken below? Are it.

7. Jet & Cord. You lose major points for pulling a B&C by showing up at the Pit Stop without completing all the tasks, but you lost more from that little tantrum at the actual check-in. 'Here's your bottle.' Thank you. And here's your nosedive. But you do realize this is all your fault, right? You didn't read the clues, you didn't check the ground, and you took your hats off. Frankly, you had it coming.

8. Steve & Allie. But you? Really have it coming, because you just made one of the Top Five Stupidest Mistakes In Race History. Unless your backpacks are returned or recovered during Pit Stop downtime, you just became the first team to volunteer for a classic NEL penalty while coming in first. 'One outfit? That's all we need! It's not as if we'll ever have to use duct tape again, either! And there's no such thing as a airline with a dress code!' Sure, if you get to the finish, it's a great story of overcoming obstacles -- which you put in your own way.

9. Caite & Brent. You are too stupid to live. Therefore, you should stop right now.

(I polled the locals. The decision was anonymous.)

1. Jet & Cord - I was SO glad it was a non-elimination. I really like these two cowpokes but yeah, they sure did exhibit a couple of not-so-lovable traits this leg. How could you NOT think what was in the bottle was important? And I was hoping I was wrong about the presentation of the bottle on the mat being kind of bratty. I guess Phil is used to all kinds of attitudes there. They are still my favorite team but I hope they shape up and keep better track of their coconuts.

2. Dan & Jordan - They have totally climbed my popularity ladder. I loved that they honored their dad with the Box name. Jordan knows the game and doesn't usually overlook important points like so many seem prone to do.

3. Steve & Ali - I cannot imagine thinking you could finish the race with only the clothes on your back. I'm wondering how that will evolve.

4. Tweedle-Dee Michael and Tweedle-Dum Louie - Is it fair that they didn't even do their own map??? Riding the coattails of the resident geniuses. It would have been so funny if all four of them had ended up in The China.

5. Brandy and Carol - I'm with the others who ask what has Carol done on this race? I thought it had to be more even with both team members performing the tasks.

6. Resident geniuses (Brent/Caite) - They were smart enough to get those seats close to the front of the plane so I give them credit for that. Not much else, though. Brent "just quit." Where was Phil to take him up on that declaration?! Don't do us any favors, dude.

Made it Here Without a Map!

I've been watching the episodes each week, but this has to rate as one of TAR's worst seasons. Looks like the winner will be the team who somehow avoids making more than two mistakes for the leg.

1. Steve and Allie - Nice leg, virtually error free. They seem to be enjoying themselves even more as the season progresses.

2. Jet and Cord - Somehow they find their way to the mat without a map? That's someone you'd never see out of a gal team (who seemed to have trouble even with a map). Glad to see they're still in it even after two major blunders.

3. Louie and Michael - Pink Panthers they're not, but they're still on the trail.

4. Dan and Jordan - Amazing how they ran a competent leg except for the fact the other teams were so incompetent. This leg wasn't rocket science. Can't stand to listen to the squeaky voices, though.

5. Carol and Brandy - Meh. Complain, complain, complain.

6. Caite and Brent - Haven't liked them a bit since the beginning of the season.

Here's my rankings:

1. Steve & Allie -- first place for you! I just hope that you can retrieve your backpacks.

2. Dan & Jordan -- the only error-free team in this leg! I'm sure surprised!

3. Jet & Cord -- I still love you, but man did you have so many errors this leg! And you hurt my standing in Jim's Casino!

4. Louis & Michael -- you made a big mistake in not getting tickets right away and you paid for it!

5. Brent & Caitie -- you got seats near the front. That's the good news. The bad news? You made another stupid mistake!

6. Carol & Brandy -- and you made two stupid ones! You're lucky you didn't come in last!

1. Steve & Allie - I know, I said I'd never put anybody but the cowboys in my number one position but, come on, they ran a near-perfect leg. Thumbs up to Allie for not insisting they return for the backpacks and for seeing the positive side (they wont' be weighted down). Steve is in really good shape for a man his age.

2. Jet & Cord - Two big mistakes and probably their worst leg yet but they're just so dang likeable. I don't think I knew Cord was a redhead, we've never seen him without his cowboy hat, have we? I hope they can pull it together enough next week to overcome to Speed Bump.

3. Dan & Jordan - They ran a great leg and the bickering has decreased significantly. They might make the final three after all but I still don't know which is which.

4. Michael & Louie - So glad to see them taken down a peg. After three first places in a row I think they were getting too cocky for my liking.

5. Carol & Brandy - A lot of people seem to dislike them both but I don't think Carol is that bad. Brandy has a stronger personality and, unfortunately, that personality is grating and annoying. I'm trying to wistfully remember the beginning of the race when I liked her.

6. Brent & Caite - They get points for realizing they needed seats near the front of the plane, but that's where the goodwill ends. Too bad he didn't follow through on the quitting thing. Caite sounds like a broken records with the mean-lesbians-made-fun-of-my-tiara spiel. That was several legs and many countries ago, get over it.

Philiminated: Not the cowboys!! - Yee-haw!!

1. Jet and Cord (1,1,1,1,1,1)- Staying here, though I wanted to smack you this week. ALWAYS check in to your flight first. And NEVER leave your clue behind. Hopefully this will be your wake up call to pick it up next week.
2. Steve and Allie (7,3,2,2,2,2)- Finally getting more airtime, and it's pleasant. You are good racers and get along well. Hopefully you can get your backpacks during the pit stop, since they aren't too far away.
3. Dan and Jordan (6,6,4,4,5,4)- You know, when they aren't bickering with each other, they're actually pretty funny, and decent racers to boot. Hopefully we keep seeing this side of them.
4. Louie and Michael (8,7,7,6,3,3)- I know Phil asked the question, but badmouthing Carol and Brandy behind their backs is unappealing. Oh, and thinking Caite and Brent will be with you in the Final 3??? Do you really think that, or are you saying it just because they were standing next to you?
5. Carol and Brandy (4,4,3,3,4,5)- Still don't seem to be having much fun, but I'm not sure why the other teams anonymously dislike you.
6. Caite and Brent (9,8,6,5,6,6)- You don't get along and aren't good racers. And then being catty at the pit stop was childish.

Philiminated: No one - thank goodness. I was really sweating it out for the cowboys.

Good gravy...

How hard is it to do a walk-around and check underneath the cart? It takes a few seconds. Come on people!

1. Steve & Allie - Always consistent. Can't believe they left their bags behind but they stay in this top spot because they have the smarts to keep their passport and money on their person.

2. Dan & Jordan - The only team not to do something stupid this leg. Chalk-board voice is annoying but I'm starting to like them a little more.

3. Jet & Chord - Stupid mistakes done at every point in this leg. I find it odd that as soon as they associated themselves with Louis & Michael at the airport, they went downhill from there. This is TAR. TAR says dive down and get this bottle and you don't think it's important? You see something inside, leave it in there and then leave the bottle behind? I'm totally confused as to their thinking this leg.

4. Caite & Brent - As dumb as ever.

5. Louis & Michael - Big surprise that once a bunch point comes along, they suck. And really? Your biggest competition includes Caite & Brent?

6. Carol & Brandy - Hate them, hate them.

Philiminated - No one but if it were a non-elim, the cowboys would have deserved to have gone.

1. Steve/Allie - Hope they get their bags back.
2. Dan/Jordan
3. Louie/Michael
4. Brent/Caite - Their stupidity is somewhat charming.
5. Jet/Cord - Keep slipping. Their attitude at the pitstop also contributes to their position.
6. Carol/Brandy - Making the same mistake as two teams ahead of them is pretty dumb.

1. Steve & Allie - I hope their lack of baggage doesn't hurt them.

2. Carol & Brandy - I still like them (am I the only one?). Not checking more carefully for coconuts when other teams were turned around was very stupid.

3. Dan & Jordan - Box the Ox was cute.

4. Michael & Louie - I would have thought Louie would be more perky with all those roids. Seriously, teaming up with the airheads, what are you thinking? Meh team.

5. Jet & Cord - Jet's tantrum at the mat for mistakes they had made was very infantile. Their schtick is getting old, and they are going to be out if they don't step up their game.

6. Brent & Caite - The only intelligent thing they have done all season is select good seats on the plane. I didn't care for Caite's ##### at the mat at all. Please make them go away!

No time to do a love list for 2 weeks...
Here are the ranking this episode

1. Carol/Brandy (3,1) - I have to voice my support for this team. So far they have done great considering they are not young and physical. They really keep up their spirit even when in last and finally it paid off. And another reason for being first here is because they are the only team with geographical knowledge, Brandy is the only one who can say the country name Seychelles correctly!

2. Steve/Allie (2,3) - They are doing better and better. The move of not taking backpack is not very good but in the end they got a huge prize, so the gamble is worth it. However, it would be harsh for them to continue next leg, the only good point maybe now they can run faster...

3. Jet/Cord (1,2) - They really need to step up their game, as they are lower and lower on the placing right now. It's good to hide under the radar, but not too good if you are already at the bottom.

4. Dan/Jordan (4,4) - They are growing on me. Though still a bit annoying at times, they are doing better in racing and less bickering.

5. Michael/Louie (7,6) - They move up because they are not the worst this week, but it does not mean that I would like them. I think Michael is as arrogant as Joe and he always think he can win the race. See he even does not consider Steve/Allie as threat in the race, it's obvious that he is full of himself, want to see them go soon.

6. Brent/Caite (5,5) - Those two must get off my TV screen. I am ok to watch them sometimes, but the moment they screw up any tasks and start bickering I just don't want to see them. And Caite still remembered the tiara comment by Brandy which is in the first leg? Come on! Brandy is not the only one who laughed at you, it's just all other people didn't admit it.

What a difference a week makes! After playing runner up for several weeks, Steve & Allie lose their bags but gain the number one place on the Lvoe List. Dan & Jordan make a big move this week to take second place - just .10 out of first place.

Jet & Cord stumble down to third place after dominating for weeks. Brent & Caite haven't gotten any smarter and haven't gotten out of last place n the Lvoe List.
