Just making fun of your mom's accent isn't funny. Has Dat ever heard of Ms. Cho? Like Dat, she too speaks in her mother's voice but her jokes have substance. She talks about her personal issues as a first generation American and offers insightful,witty commentary that remains true to herself. My suggestion to Dat is for him to find his own voice and to try writing new material.
