"Some random thoughts on Episode 3"

I want to tell these people to slow down! Think! And, look around – you’re in beautiful, historical, fabulous locations and you don’t even take a minute to enjoy it (except the Festers at Victoria Falls). Usually I think that the team that takes the FF misses some cool stuff, but not this time. If you have to miss something, a trek through the sewers would be my choice. I have to say that of all the people who had to thrash around in the sewer, I felt worst for the camera guy who had to do the whole thing while walking backwards. I also liked the “rat” who looked like he just wanted to get the hell away from those people but kept getting shoo’d into the shot.

I really don’t like the underdogs. Wasn’t Underdog’s girlfriend Sweet Polly? Emily reminds me of her. And too bad about the huge chin zit, Em. Nice close-up, though. Why are you all working together? When it comes to the wire, Nancy and Emily will be left behind. Physically the younger couples have the advantage, and Emily keeps giving away the clues to all the other contestants. I can hear Paul now, “Don’t worry Nance…you’re in…thanks to the Mommies pulling a Lenny. Otherwise I’ll make sure I beat your butt to the mat.”

I happen to like Team Guido. We need some sneaky conniving teams to liven things up. And, they’re not doing anything that the other teams won’t do…if they want to win. Good tactic to ask a hotel concierge for directions, since part of their job is to tell people (especially crass American tourists) how to get to landmarks quickly.

What kind of lawyers are Rob and Brennan? Do they ever litigate? They are soooo naïve and headstrong, I think they’d get eaten up in a courtroom. (Good plan to form that “alliance” with Frank and Margarita.)

Best lines this episode: Frank saying that the fast forward was “sissy stuff” and one of the lawyers calling the Guidos “Bert and Ernie”

Lastly, my fav team is in first place!! When the Festers were standing atop the cliff waxing poetically (from worst to first and staying that way), I could almost hear the strains of “Fool on the Hill” playing.
