It just doesn't have the same ring to it as mud volleyball does. And, man, was that stuff deep. Flight Time & Big Easy could barely move in the stuff, let alone play volleyball in it. Still, the task wasn't too bad, and everyone did pretty well over. Because of it, Gary & Matt couldn't make up much time, and were eliminated.

Mixed results in scoring this week. The PAT Bonus Game turned out to be a big game overall, as Flight Time & Big Easy weren't very popular picks. So, the players who did wager on them in the PAT game really got the benefit.

The Greatest Gainer Award goes to both taffnic and Snidget, who both climbed 9 ranks this week. Nice!

Some big moves this week in the Top 10. ARNutz, with a flawless bet, was able to overtake jbenz and take a nice lead in the game, while taffnic, jumped over the whole group to move to #2. It should be very interesting to see what happens!

Just as a heads-up, regarding the Pitboss Mini-Game. The final week always features a 2x/1x/0x payout table with the "million" bonus game, so there won't be a guest pitboss for the final week. You can keep making your guesses this week, of course, but once we get down to the Final Three teams, no more guest pitboss. I like having the final week be consistent every season, so that players will know what they're building for and won't get surprised by some silly twist that makes their strategy pointless.
I'm looking at you, Survivor, and your Final2/Final3 shenanigans.

Bonus Game - Confessions of a Mid-Season TAR Team
This week's bonus game is simple. You can wager on which team you think will have the most confessionals in the next episode. You may only pick one team, though.
For the sake of simplicity, a "confessional" means that the team is talking about the race from a pitstop in an interview environment. If the team is just narrating what they're doing via voiceover (like "the mud volleyball was so tough!") it counts as a confessional, even they don't show the team. And an individual confessional goes on for however long they keep talking about a subject, even if the camera moves back and forth between scenes.
Just remember, if the team keeps talking, it's still the same confessional. Take a break, you guys. 
Confessional Payout Table Maximum Individual Bet - 60 points
Correct Answer - 4x
Incorrect Answer - 0x
If two teams finish with the most confessionals, then correct answers will get 2x each. If 3 teams tie, then 1.3x each. If all four tie, then the game is a wash and everyone gets their points back.

After the new episode airs, I'll post the correct answer in this thread, identify the winner, and send a private message to that individual. The winner has until the following Tuesday night (midnight) to contact me with their Payout Table for the following week. They can either post it in this thread or send me a private message if they want to be secretive. If the winner doesn't contact me with their Payout Table by Tuesday night, I will create the next Payout Table instead. (These may change throughout the season when we get farther into the game.) 1. Your Table must have a ranking for all the potential rankings of the teams. Use the format that I use. 1st place - (This is assuming this week's episode is non-elimination. As mentioned in my earlier post, if next week is the finale leg, then there is no guest pitboss for the week as the finale is always 2x/1x/0x.) 2. Confessional Bonus Game: Time Bonus: Bank 11 points
1. Over/Under - I'll post several over/under statements, and you can bet on whether the statement happens more or less than that amount. An example over/under statement could be "Sam or Dan tells his brother to shut up 3 times". The payout multipliers will be a little smaller (probably 3x) but it's a little less of a crapshoot. 2. TAR Drinking Game - Every time a team does something you have to take a drink, so your wager will be on how many drinks you'll need. It's similar to the Over/Under, but you'll be making an exact guess. An example drinking game question could also be "Take a drink when Sam or Dan tells his brother to shut up." The payouts could potentially be higher (4x? 5x?) but it would be easier to get wrong.
I am destined to be in 3rd place, I guess. Ah well, I'll take it.
