Sorry, but I have two neighbors running for office this season, one as again a Democrat and the other having switched parties this year and running a very disturbing Teabilly campaign. Seriously!! I mean, I know him, he really is a nice guy if you know him, it must be the money talking. Or I'll one day be one of those neighbors on the news going, "Gosh, he seemed so normal and stuff."

Very strong suspicion that it's related to ISIS. This comes a day after a soldier was run over and killed in Quebec by someone who had become radicalized:

The Canadian Parliament Sergeant of Arms killed the attacker.

Wow. How often does that happen? Good thing though.

I naively assumed that people in ceremonial positions carried unloaded weapons if any at all, and were only there to perform ritual functions.

Kinda like if an authorized armed guard gets on an elevator with the President.
