Place your bets on who, if anyone, will do something that will send us suddenly to commercial.

Tonight is also the return of the group number. Just what people who are pushed to the point of fainting need, more pressure.

I think the beverage of the night will be a nice chilled CAVA, since I can't afford champagne.

And they have to show the faint one more time.

Cue the credits.

Star introductions and walk down the stairs.

A routine in a style they haven't done yet, and lifts are legal in the group dance.

More how hectic my schedule is info. Cheetah girls did their music video this week.

They will be doing the Foxtrot.

She is in a black halter dress.

Dancing to I'm A Woman.

We have a fill in for the musical director tonight.

Len. You had no weaknesses last week, but the one thing you have to have is light and shade. The performance was good, but too hard and aggressive. Too powerful.

Bruno. You can be a leading lady, you have to work on the finesse and blend the moves and you lost your footing in the corner.

Carrie Ann. I don't know what they are talking about you were feisty when you needed to be and smooth when you needed to be. Len was too hard on you.

Tom says Bruno and Len agreeing this early in a show is a sign of the apocalypse.

I must say that Sabrina is looking much better. Maturing, I think.
But I didn't think that was great. Len was right, it was just too hard.

Snidget, you like a glass of CAVA? The bubbles are divine - and I have a lovely salmon pate'.

Spanish, sparkling white wine that is like champagne.

Usually can be found at any decent wine shop, in the champagne section.

And I've got enough for everyone who is not driving.

"Jennie Garth and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 07:52 PM
They are doing the Mambo.

Derek wants it to be really fun.

She is psyching herself out with fear in front of the judges.

"RE: Jennie Garth and Derek"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 07:55 PM
Se is in a salmon dress with the ruffle tail thingy.

Dancing to "Mambo Baby"

Looks like they had a hand position glitch near the end.

Bruno. You got steam heat tonight. That is dirty dancing. What a difference a week makes. You never know what is going to happen. Choreography incredible.

Carrie Ann. Finally you totally unveiled yourself. You looked like you were having a great time.

Len. Critical time in the competition, everyone has more strengths than weaknesses and need an incredible performance, you did that.

That was OK. You could tell she was thinking too much. And is it wrong that when Derek said "Imagine Len in his underwear ... boxer-briefs" as though he has thought about it, a lot?

just sayin'.

Dancing the Jive this week.

Naval Base visit to inspire the Jive.

Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:06 PM
She is in a white halter with black bra peaking out with a black and white miniskirt.

Dancing to "Modern Love"

She seemed a bit stiff to me, would have liked it looser.

Carrie Ann. I enjoyed that, you have a vibrancy. I think you are better than this dance, it wasn't up to your level. It was fun.

Len. You are pretty nifty for 50. I've given you a 9 the last three weeks. Some dances are just not on certain people's wavelengths. A ballerina jive not down and dirty.

Bruno. You are a class act and it wasn't your most comfortable dance. Requires sharpness and intensity, it wasn't your best dance.

I usually like this song, but didn't think it helped them at all. Too slow? Not a strong enough rhythm? What did you experts think?

It was like Jane was doing the jive in slo-mo.

That's it! I couldn't put my finger on why it seemed off.

"Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:14 PM
They will be doing the Samba.

Gee, another dance where Edyta can be half naked.

They go to "Little Brazil" to get into Samba spirit.

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:17 PM
They are in vaguely native american looking outfits.

Spanish lyrics may be Magdelena?

Len. It was like the cure it's egg. Some good parts but didn't catch the spirit.

Bruno. Captain Smith and Pocohontas never seen them do the Samba.

Carrie Ann. I thought you got into the primal nature of the samba, the jungle vibe, she liked it.

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by lynkfri13 on 10-29-07 at 08:19 PM
Are shredders involved in making Edyta's costumes?

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:21 PM
They have to use something, it isn't like they ever have anything like fabric involved.

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"
Posted by whimsey on 10-29-07 at 08:21 PM
Unfortunate costuming, but great dance. I thought Cameron moved really well.

Could be the wine talking, but Cameron's pants could have been 2 sizes smaller, just sayin.

"RE: Cameron Mathison and Edyta"

It ain't the wine talking.

And last week his shirt was too loose, WTF is up with that?

They will be doing the Rumba.

Love and Hate in the dance.

"RE: Melanie Brown and Maksim"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:28 PM
That dress looked so sedate until I saw the side. Silver bra and pantie with a toga open on one side over it.

Dancing to "A Woman's Worth"

She ends up in Bruno's lap and Maks goes after Carrie Ann. No flirt for Len because of the 9 last week.

Bruno. That was a cliff hanger, right in the line between love and hate. Never lost control, excellent.

Carrie Ann. Almost started to cry, the rumba I've been waiting to see.

Len. Was a little bit disappointed by no flirt, but that routine was perfected, inspected, dissected and won't be rejected.

They may not be the most popular couple, but I think when they bring it, they really bring it.

(More view of Maks chest couldn't have hurt.)

Helio and Julianne are the only couple I usually like as much.

How many hours do you rehearse your lines??

"Marie Osmond and Jonathan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:36 PM
And we get to see the faint footage one more time, as if we forgot.

Doing the Paso Doble.
She smacks him for saying she has to stay upright in this dance.

"RE: Marie Osmond and Jonathan"
Posted by Snidget on 10-29-07 at 08:39 PM
She is in peasant dress with a full red skirt.

Sounds like Spanish instrumental music.

Not very aggressive, IMO.

She did lay down a lot in that dance.

Tom says the longest an Osmond not smile.

Carrie Ann found the laying on the ground stuff a bit disturbing. You played this safe and not 100% A nice routine.

Len wants to email his comments. Dramatic start and then a bit of a pause and then got back into it for a dramatic and passionate performance.

Bruno. Catherine Zeta Jones to C.Z. Cranky. Not good for Bruno.

The music totally sucked bobo. The highschool marching band Paso. *shudder*

That's how my mom described it, and it's 100% right on.

Clarinet gone wrong is how I described it. The squeak at the beginning just brought focus on the clarinet part which was so incredibly WRONG. WHO writes a Paso piece with the spotlight on the CLARINET??? Ugh, ugh, ugh!

I was going to say it was like being in Spain and trapped on the merry-go-round from hell being chased by a knife wielding maniac, but I like your description too.

And I am glad I was not the only one that heard that squeak.

They will be doing the Cha Cha.

They will try to make his personality shine through, not some character he can't be.

Trying to be more fluid and less stiff.

"RE: Helio Castroneves and Julianne"

Dancing to " Get Up Offa That Thing"
She is in a pink body suit with a sheer over dress.

He does see to be having some fun this week.

Len. Last week you tried to be something you were not, and you were the Helio we love this week. Len wants the trousers. That was fantastic.

Bruno. Rebranded, repackaged, regenerated and you are back in the race.

Carrie Ann. The latin bootie was working overtime, I am glad you are back I was worried.

Dancing to Rockin' Robin.

Very nice, they did it without any deaths! the potential was there.

Judges aren't scoring, but getting what they thought.

Bruno. Pure joy that is entertainment. You've made the season the most exciting and competitive to date.

Carrie Ann gives a Mary scream and knows the lifts were dedicated to her.

Len. I can' see people not wanting to get voted off because of the camaraderie.

Group dance really was one of the best ever! Of course, I just don't remember from season to season, unless something amazing shines out-and it's not like I video it and keep it for an entire year to compare! I'm not some stalker-HA!

Anyway, great reviews. I think most of us know it's time for Marie or Jane to bid bye-bye. Could it be age catching up? Probably-and this is coming from one who is in the middle of both of their ages. I could NOT have done what Jane did last night! But now that we're down to the wire, it's really getting hot and heavy, and the younger ones just have more what it takes-nature and natural fact.

Ok, I'm off to vote...

"RE: Leaderboard"

I would like to see Jane and Sabrina in the bottom 2 tonight. Jane because I believe it is her time to go. And Sabrina just because I do not like her. I would love to see her reaction to the red light.

there really is something off-putting about Sabrina. I know she's often on top of the leaderboard, but I just never enjoy watching her.

I also think she has had a big advantage starting out, having dance and performance experience with the Cheetah girls. She strikes me as conceited.

"RE: Leaderboard"

Donny Osmond (in defense of his sister) was complaining about Sabrina being in the competition. He stated that she makes her living as a dancer and choreographer. He didn't think it was fair to have her dancing with celebrities who did not have that same skill.

Of course Donny wants his sister to do well. But he did admit she was not on her game this week. He also felt although Helio was one of Donny's early favourites. That Helio hasn't continued to improve and now seems to be getting by on his charm.
