I have no idea how to comment on that.

At first I thought that someone had gone to a lot of trouble for a 40's-50's piece. Then I checked the copyright date, and it's '48 (or maybe '68, hard to be certain). So someone actually made this back then, and it's not cobbled together just to look old.

Someone with a really off the wall attitude toward making bicycle safety films, that is.

1963. I remember watching this one time when I was a kid and thinking: Glad I don't live there.

I am glad I don't live there as well. Must be the most cold hearted town in the world.

Edward Everett Horton narrated. I knew that voice sounded familiar.

Downright gruesome. But then, that's how we taught our young'uns back then.

Somehow this quote from Rocky Horror keeps popping up in my head:

"Yeah Janet, life's pretty cheap to that type."

Imagine showing this to the helicopter parents of this day and age.

I liked a glimpse of the '63 Corvair van.

Kingfish: If it was '48 wouldn't the cars and bikes be different? Doy! /Doy

(Slaps forehead!) You're right. There were no KingWeiner mobiles then.

I have never seen a corvair van before. Wonder if they exploded too.

Best dune-buggy engine ever. That stupid Ralfie had his head..

My sister had a Monza. Lucky for her she was older than me, and I didn't have a socket set or a welding torch yet..

I'm still waiting for Sweden

I still have my Schwinn with the bookholder on the front but I don't remember being in the PSA. Aren't those Schwinn's worth a tidy bit of cash now?

I should be watched....closely.
