"Something to celebrate"

Anyone who ever read a comic book knew there would be ads demanding your attention (as well as your money) for products YOU.HAD.TO.HAVE. If it wasn't X-Ray glasses it was the ever popular

Well, today is National Sea Monkey Day.

Be sure to celebrate safely.

I remember those ads - usually opposite an ad telling me if I buy Charles Atlas' program, I can go from a 98 lb weakling to a muscle guy who punches out bullies on the beach.

Oh yea, I remember Sea-monkeys! What did they really turn out to be? I thought it was brine shrimp or something like that.

Didn't South Park have a Sea Monkey episode?

I sure never saw her in any comic book ads!

My spidey senses would have been tingling!

Dweezil has her complete run. Including the holographic cover with fabric inset.

I'd tell you where the fabric was from, but it would only increase the value.

Could seat two kids...

Fired missiles and torpedoes...

I had my money all saved up and my parents wouldn't let me order it. Told me it was a rip off and that it was probably just made out of cheap cardboard.

Wow... found a pic of a kid whith the actual cardboard sub:

That gives me a bit closure as I often think about that sub.

In what miracle of topography does that seat two kids? If you intend to stay sealed for the imaginary dive, that's a one-kid maximum and maybe not even that if there's no hollow in the front and back cones -- not unless the captain is a contortionist.

I'm guessing that's not something collectible toy shops generally have in mint condition.

Sitting back to back with legs in each cone?

6-month-olds qualify as kids, so the statement is accurate.

So this explains where Kingfish is;
he's recovering from a celebration hangover, right?
