This video says it all...

At 30 seconds in, the explosion will catch you off guard even you think you are prepared for it. It looks like the video is shot from at least 100 yards away but the explosion instantly fills the screen.

Warning, the blast is very shocking and there is audio of a very frightened, potentially injured child immediately after the explosion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ROrpKx3aIjA

You can actually see shrapnel fly over their heads at super-sonic speed leaving little contrails behind. These people are lucky to be alive.

Someone on a coast had an explosion, so naturally they had to go and get a more powerful one.

Frightening. Great clip.

Ammonia fertilizer plants have such a great explosive potential. The Texas City explosion (in the 50's?) blew an airplane our of the air miles away. So Texas does have the lead in that department.

It felt at first like their vehicle was turned over, but at the end it seemed that they are about to drive away, and have survived intact.

Amazing what a overpressure wave can do.

The Texas City explosion (in the 50's?)

Spring of '47 to be exact.

Watching a fire, much less fighting one, can be rather hazardous.

My heart and prayers go out to these folks -- the whole town. Willie Nelson is giving them the proceeds of a concert later this month.
