It may be a good thing for airplanes when they take off to be wheels up.

Tanker trucks, not so much.

What a mess. Thankfully diesel doesn't isn't explosive or as flammable as many other liquids that travel over our interstates.

Don't know what caused this particular wreck, but liquid tankers often overturn when the liquid sloshes around too much. They have internal baffles, but the momentum of the moving liquid can still turn a truck over pretty easily.

Maybe the driver used a little bit too much of this on the rig...

Or the maybe driver was distracted while listening to this Wheels Up! song (with the Criminal Minds cast!).

By now, the driver might be out of a job and a home, wheeling one of these around instead of the big rig...

NC State Highway Patrol said Richard Szajlai... was driving the truck on I-85 Business South when he went off the road on the left. Szajlai over-corrected and flipped the truck. Szajlai was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. He was charged with Failure to Maintain Lane.
