Haha, you had me dying of laughter with that post! At first, I also thought Peter was both 1) stupid and 2) naive in how he perceived Joey's "gift." However, he never used the word, "friend." I think Peter was worried about keeping his head straight .. and he wasn't about to step in the ring with a guy who just gave him a 40k vehicle that day.
