Anybody doing anything fun or interesting today? Nobody seems to be around so I'm assuming they must be busy doing something else.

I'm on break at work, but it's been a dull day so far.

I've been in some other forums harassing folks, and I guess that is fun.

Also, I am off on a snowboard trip next week to Colorado. Very excited, but also already a little disappointed since the area is not enjoying a heavy snow year and the current forecast won't be bringing new snow. Personally I care more about the snow than the resort facilities, nightlife, etc. so this is quite a bummer.

Heading to Telluride, which I think is in the southern part of the state and not close to Wyo. Given the snow and what I have read, I will be pushing for next year's trip to be to Jackson Hole Wyo, as I understand they always get good snow.

I'm supposed to get a check up tomorrow, they rescheduled the appointment. Mostly because I have a late morning appt. and there are people who need to see the doc that won't drive until it is ALL MELTED!!!! and that may not happen until after 8 am.

So I see him in two weeks because it is just a regular check up, but SNOW!!!!

PANIC!!!!

I don't even want to see what the grocery stores look like.

I mean NOT ONE FLAKE HAS FALLEN AND WE MUST PANIC!!!!

I'm battening down the hatches, there is a rumour that a snowflake will fall somewhere within a 50 mile radius of London tomorrow and the country is grinding to a halt in preparation.

Which reminds me of Mrs Browns famous quote "Love is just like snow, you never know when it's going to arrive, and you never know how many inches you are going to get."

Sounds familiar.

Of course here it was 75-80 degrees last weekend. (24-26 or so for you, I think) so the snow may melt before it actually touches the ground.

Would it be impolite to ask, how many people? And do they mind that you're checking in on RTVW while they are, uh, correcting their dot count?

And are we going to have to use our imagination as to what "the Three Dots are" are? Clearly we're not talking geometry, here.

You may wait till you're done to answer, because it doesn't matter what your answer is, I prefer the one in my imagination anyway.

Personally, I think !!!!!!!!!!!!! after everything he posts on FB to be a bit excessive.

I roughly follow the advice of Terry Pratchett on the matter. One is fine for most situations. Three works in extreme circumstances. (I'm fine with mixing ? and ! up to three total characters if it's an excited or angry question.) Five and up is a sign of the speaker having booked a one-way trip to Crazytown.

The DVR is catching Idol, but I'm not sure I'm going to watch this season.

I was watching Vampire Diaries but CW went all purple northern lights and stopped making noises.

I don't think that was in the original script. I should check if they have it working again.

But the dogs taught me to either hide in the closet or under the metal telephone stand, right next to the big picture window.

I have no idea why that stand was so protective, but the one dog would always be under it. All the rest always hid in closets.

But as far what I'm doing -- just dealing with the same-ol' same-ol' middle schooler drama & personality disorders that go hand-in-hand with raging hormones and trying to decide how-much-of-a-pain-in-the-nearest-adult's-tookas-I-want-to-be-today.

Other than that, all is well.


And I've got snow just outside my window. Of course it's on a mountain about 20 miles away, but it is easily seen from my window.
